My name is AlaSan Gent Ceesay. I am currently serving with Grenadier Guards Regiment and have recently done two tours of Afghanistan. I am also a volunteer Community Organiser in Victoria, where I am a local resident. I am originally from a small town called Brikama in The Gambia, West Africa.I go home with my family every year and last year during my trip I visited the local library; I was saddened to see that THEY HAD NO BOOKS and this is supposedly their only opportunity to gain access to reading material! My wish is that this Christmas the WHOLE COMMUNITY will gain access to free books to read and enjoy I would be grateful if you would help me achieve this BIG TASK. I am asking you to contribute any books old or new ,plus school equipment, school bags, pens, pencils , toys clothing, sweets, household goods and anything else you would like to contribute as christmas gifts for the children. I am on a tight time schedule. I have secured a sea container on a ship which sails back to Brikama and therefore need to have the container full ready for sail on the FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER.
