Earl Williams is a dreamer teenager obsessed with monsters, who fantasizes his life as if he were living in the world of the monsters of the Universal Studios. Although being an excellent student, his intolerant and nasty school teacher Mrs. Perdue does not like him and punishes him for any minor fault. His supportive father Les Williams is also a dreamer, who has never been successful in life. When his father dies, his mother becomes lost with two boys, and tries to change the behavior of Earl. One day, the boy finds the "true Frankenstein" lost by a Carnival, and decides to bring the monster back to life.

Polly Shannon
Polly Shannon (born September 1, 1973) is a Canadian actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Margaret Trudeau in the 2002 miniseries Trudeau, a film about the late Prime Minister of Canada Pierre Trudeau.
Biography
Polly Shannon was born September 1, 1973 in Kingston, Ontario, and raised in Aylmer, Quebec. Her father, Michael Shannon, is a doctor who served in various senior posts at Health Canada, including director general for the Laboratory Centre for Disease Control. Her mother, Mary Mackay-Smith, is a screenwriter for children's films and television. At the age of 13, after acting in theatre as a child, Shannon became a model, with assignments that took her to New York, London, and Tokyo. She attended Philemon Wright High School in Hull, Quebec.
In 1992, Shannon began her television career, landing a part in Catwalk, a YTV series about a struggling rock band. She went on to appear in several television series, including Sirens (1994) as Kelly Van Pelt, Ready or Not (1996) as Angelique, Side Effects (1996) as Lisa Burns, and the Canadian horror series The Hunger (1999) as Jen.

Ricky Mabe
Richard "Ricky" Mabe (born May 24, 1983) is a Canadian actor.
Mabe was born in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. He first voiced the character Willie in CINAR Animation's The Little Lulu Show and has subsequently starred frequently on various Canadian television series' and in feature films alongside Burt Reynolds, Ryan Gosling and Elisha Cuthbert.
He was also the voice of Timmy Tibble one of the Tibble Twins on the PBS children's animated television program Arthur, Stig in Pig City, Freddie Fay in the later season of The Kids from Room 402 and played Gideon Lustig in several episodes of Beautiful People. More recently, Mabe has been cast in such feature films as Zack and Miri Make a Porno and The Trotsky.

Sharon Kim, violin featuring Kanako Nishikawa, piano This ethereal piece was written by Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979), an English classical composer and violist, in 1924. This piece is noted for its impressionistic style, with its lush textures and modernistic harmonies that are reminiscent of Debussy’s work, but still maintain their distinctiveness with the rich, G-string heavy sections interspersed throughout the overall delicate harmonies. While experiencing the work, it is impossible to ignore its title—a midsummer moon, the most appropriate imagery associated with the piece. Notes about the composer: Clarke was not a prolific composer, largely due to ideas about the role of a female composer at the time. Many of her works were forgotten after her death. Her works started being revived in 1976; today, her work is being acknowledged for their compositional skill by the Rebecca Clarke Society (established in 2000) to promote the study and performance of her music. Although she is not a part of the Rebecca Clarke Society, Sharon hopes she has paid tribute to this remarkable and unfortunately underrated composer through her performance today. -

His supportive father Les Williams is also a dreamer, who has never been successful in life. When his father dies, his mother becomes lost with two boys, and tries to change the behavior of Earl. One day, the boy finds the "true Frankenstein" lost by a Carnival, and decides to bring the monster back to life.

Atatürk’s words, inscribed on the memorial stone overlooking ANZAC Cove, Gallipoli, echo in the heart. So too, does the music of Frederick Septimus Kelly. Kelly was an Australian-born composer, living in London when war broke out. He joined the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve with his friend, the poet Rupert Brooke. When Brooke fell ill and died on the way to Gallipoli, Kelly was by his side, and soon after Brooke’s death Kelly wrote a haunting string serenade in his memory.
Set to music in a new work by Carl Vine featuring soprano Taryn Fiebig, the program also features English works that are evocative of the era, including Elgar's Sospiri and Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending, as well as the music of the Ottoman Empire and 20th-century Turkey.

Reflections on Gallipoli is a heartfelt exploration of the ANZAC story through music, spoken text and visual imagery, where an Australian's elegy for his friend brushes shoulders with the words of teh father or modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
'You, the mothers, who sent their sons from faraway countries wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.' – MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK
Atatürk’s words, inscribed on the memorial stone overlooking ANZAC Cove, Gallipoli, echo in the heart. So too, does the music of Frederick Septimus Kelly. Kelly was an Australian-born composer, living in London when war broke out. He joined the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve with his friend, the poet Rupert Brooke. When Brooke fell ill and died on the way to Gallipoli, Kelly was by his side, and soon after Brooke’s death Kelly wrote a haunting string serenade in his memory.
Set to music in a new work by Carl Vine featuring soprano Taryn Fiebig, the program also features English works that are evocative of the era, including Elgar's Sospiri and Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending, as well as the music of the Ottoman Empire and 20th-century Turkey.

This ethereal piece was written by Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979), an English classical composer and violist, in 1924. This piece is noted for its impressionistic style, with its lush textures and modernistic harmonies that are reminiscent of Debussy’s work, but still maintain their distinctiveness with the rich, G-string heavy sections interspersed throughout the overall delicate harmonies. While experiencing the work, it is impossible to ignore its title—a midsummer moon, the most appropriate imagery associated with the piece.
Notes about the composer: Clarke was not a prolific composer, largely due to ideas about the role of a female composer at the time. Many of her works were forgotten after her death. Her works started being revived in 1976; today, her work is being acknowledged for their compositional skill by the Rebecca Clarke Society (established in 2000) to promote the study and performance of her music. Although she is not a part of the Rebecca Clarke Society, Sharon hopes she has paid tribute to this remarkable and unfortunately underrated composer through her performance today.
