Directed by Ann Lupo An experimental visualization of an adrenaline rush the main character, Emma (played by Eliza McNitt), has in the moment after she hears of her husbands death. In the immediate aftershock of tragedy Emma's future self guides her through the five stages of grief she will have to experience in order to feel normal again. This film explores the wonder of human resilience in the face of life altering situations. This film was Ann Lupo's final project for Nick Tanis' Sight and Sound film class in the Fall of 2010
Immigration is a complicated issue. But at its heart, immigration is quite simple: It's about people. It's about families and jobs. It's about a better life for today, and for tomorrow. It's the question of, how do you define American? As Washington prepares to draft and debate an immigration reform bill, undocumented immigrants are documenting themselves- and have been for years. Using Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Instagram and other tools, they are telling their stories and changing the conversation. Directed by: Ann Lupo and Jose Antonio Vargas Edited by: Ann Lupo Special thanks to Lauren Bird. And very special thanks to those whose public Twitter handles, Facebook profiles, and YouTube videos have humanized the immigration conversation.

Danish people are consistently ranked as the world’s #1 “happiest” people and also enjoy the reputation of being extremely good-looking. It is well-known in the U.S. that “handsome” and “happy” are not common attributes among American comedians. Brooks Wheelan visits Denmark’s capital city of Copenhagen to meet local comedians, explore local customs, and learn how humor can survive in such an extreme climate of happiness. France is famous for its food, art, architecture, fashion, and sophisticated culture. French people have a lot to be proud of, and this may be why they can seem a little intimidating to Americans. But just because Parisians may not smile at midwestern tourists, doesn’t mean French people don’t laugh. But what makes French people laugh and how is it similar (or different) from what makes Americans laugh? Brooks Wheelan travels to Paris, France’s comedy capital, to investigate. “Schmuck”, “Wiener”, “NotFahrt”, the German language is full of words that sound very funny to many Americans, but what do Germans find funny about America? Would a joke told in a New York comedy club get the same reaction in a Berlin comedy club? Brooks Wheelan explores the city of Berlin and talks to its locals to find out what makes Germans laugh and whether it’s any different from what makes Americans laugh. He also visits the German Institute for Humor in Leipzig to learn more about the intricacies of German humor and what he can do to make himself sound funnier in German. Please join us for an expert discussion on innovative efforts surrounding procurement reform, with a focus on USTDA's Global Procurement Initiative. While procurement can account for up to 20 percent of GDP in some developing nations, these systems remain weak. As demand for infrastructure increases across low- and middle-income countries, reducing life cycle costs and improving overall value of services should be a key priority of country governments. Leocadia I. Zak, Director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, will provide insight into the ways in which GPI and other efforts can engage local governments and U.S. corporations abroad. Cynthia McFadden hosts a program produced for American Lawyer magazine, featuring court room highlights of the 1991 Palm Beach County, Florida, media circus rape trial of William Kennedy Smith before Judge Mary E. Lupo. In addition to testimony from the accused William Kennedy Smith, and his uncle Senator Ted Kennedy, direct & cross examinations of alleged victim's friend Anne Weatherly Mercer by attorney Roy Black provide stunning insight into the artful process of destroying a witnesses' credibility. The state's case wasn't helped by the alleged victim's friend Mercer, who Black took apart on the stand for removing a valuable antique urn from the Kennedy compound, and engaged in pursuing paid interviews with tabloid TV shows like A Current Affair. In contrast to Black's persuasive & po...

Shot through the heart and you're to blame
Darlin', you give love a bad name
Fuck you
An angel's smile is what you sell
You promise me heaven, then put me through hell
Chains of love, got a hold on me
When passion's a prison, you can't break free
Whoa, you're a loaded gun
Yeah, whoa, there's nowhere to run
No one can save you
The damage is done
Shot through the heart and you're to blame
You give love a bad name
I play my part and you play your games
You give love a bad name
You give love a bad name
You paint that smile on your lips
Blood red nails on your fingertips
A school boy's dream, you act so shy
You're very first kiss was your first kiss goodbye
Whoa, you're a loaded gun
Whoa, there's nowhere to run
No one can save me
The damage is done
Shot through the heart and you're to blame
You give love a bad name
I play my part and you play your games
You give love a bad name
You give love
Shot through the heart and you're to blame
Darlin', you give love a bad name
I play my part and you play your games
You give love a bad name
Shot through the heart and you're to blame
You give love a bad name
I play my part and you play your games
