Park Avenue (formerly Fourth Avenue) is a 140 feet (43 m) wide boulevard that carries north- and southbound traffic in the New York City borough of Manhattan. For most of its length, it runs parallel to Madison Avenue to the west and Lexington Avenue to the east.
The flowers and greenery in the median of Park Avenue are maintained by the Fund for Park Avenue. Begonias are a flower of choice for the Fund's gardeners because there is no automatic watering system and they can cope with the hot sun.
Each December, Christmas trees are placed in the median in a tradition that started in 1945 as a memorial to soldiers killed in action.
The road that becomes Park Avenue originates as the Bowery. From Cooper Square at 8th Street to Union Square at 14th Street, it is known as Fourth Avenue. Above 14th Street, it turns slightly east of north to align with other avenues of the Commissioners' Plan of 1811. From 14th Street to 17th Street, it forms the eastern boundary of Union Square and is known as Union Square East; its southbound lanes merge with Broadway for this distance. From 17th Street to 32nd Street, it is known as Park Avenue South, and above 32nd Street, for the remainder of its distance, it is known as Park Avenue.
Uh, look
Wake up and open up the..
I told ya that it would all happen in time
Last year I couldn’t find a ride
Now we cast out the wedding so champagne and wine
Make a rare cleave
It’s been a lot of bloodshed see
Remember I used to be a cutter, silly motherfucker
Now your Rolex is the cover
It’s been too many tears so let it pour
Spilling champagne on marble floors
And take me back to daddy watching Scarface
Saying hate young world the world is yours
Now I feel like I’m in no drive
And it’s the same world I’m coming for
I seen a drug dealer pussy with a loyal drive
In the same building from the dealer got the upper floor
Take a look where we are
Who’d have thought we’d come this far?
To shooting stars?
Fancy cars? I made it all and I made it
Bright lights so far from home
Where they say you lose your matters the most
I know I’m telling my show for road down
The wind of soul they can hear me
Parked in my park avenue music
Parked in my park avenue music
Parked in my park avenue music
Turn up my music
Pictures of mama cleaning up my dirty dishes
As I’m riding in this Beamer now this place is cleaner
It’s my success I think it sounds sweet
Forgetting all the suicides on Wall Street
My OG told me to do this music
Now they fail time well let them stick around and watch me do it
I’m looking to the future cause I know my time is coming
And you’re looking at your guy cause you know his time is running out
Someone tell me what the fuss about
Trying to survive, why? Cause in the end we won’t make it out
Tryna decide if it was all worth it
I’m riding in this Maybach with a closed curtain
I struggled while they was soul searching
I wanna sleep in a dark place
Now I just woke up in Park place
Take a look where we are
Who’d have thought we’d come this far?
To shooting stars?
Fancy cars? I made it all and I made it
Bright lights so far from home
Where they say you lose your matters the most
I know I’m telling my show for road down
The wind of soul they can hear me
Parked in my park avenue music
Parked in my park avenue music
Parked in my park avenue music
Turn up my music
