Eels.
Slippery slimy Eels with long narrow bodies,
look a lot like snakes.
But, they are actually a type of fish.
They have sharp teeth.
And gills to breathe under water.
And like other fish, they have several fins.
These fins join to make one long ribbon fin, which runs along the body.
Can you see how the eel moves through the water?
Eels can be found in both fresh water, and salt water.
But some can live in both.
They love to hide in holes, or between rocks, in places called ‘eel pits’.
Or in coral… like this spotted eel.
That way they can sneak up on their prey!

Why Japanese Eel Is So Expensive | So Expensive
People in Japan have eaten eel for thousands of years. Unagi, or freshwater Japanese eel, can cost more than bluefin tuna. But it isn't caught as adults. Instead, young eels are raised on farms. It can take 6 to 12 months of work before eels are big enough to be sold. And cooking it is just as challenging.
Properly cooking Japanese eel can take years to master. When it's prepared in the kabayaki style it can cost over $90. Despite the price of eel, demand remains high. But the global catch of Japanese eel has declined by more than 75% since 1980, so prices can vary widely each year. In January 2018, young eels, also called glass eels, cost around $35,000 per kilogram.

Some eels like the long finned eel, can live for upto 80 years.
On the island of Huahine in the pacific,
Huahine eels are considered really important by the locals.
They grow very large.
And you are allowed to feed them small fish.
That looks like fun.

Nodaiwa in the Higashi Azabu area of Tokyo is a 200 year old restaurant that has focused on various preparations of unagi through five generations of chefs.
At its helm today is chef and owner Kanejiro Kanemato, a master of kabayaki (butterflied unagi that is dipped in a sweet sauce and then broiled) who is 90 years old and shows no signs of stopping. “Right now I say that I’ll stay in the business until I’m 100,” says Kanemato. “But 10 years later I might reach for another 10 years, and so on.”
Eater is the one-stop-shop for food and restaurant obsessives across the country. With features, explainers, animations, recipes, and more — it’s the most indulgent food content around. So get hungry.

Narcissists Are So Boring (It's More Dangerous & Scarier Than You Think) |NPD| Narcissist Exposed
Hi everyone, Today I want to discuss about narcissists' dullness, which is often overlooked. We hear a lot about how mysterious, magnetic, and wild pathologically selfish individuals are, but rarely about how boring they are.
Working with narcissists all the time is boring. Boring and contentless. First impressions of narcissists might be intriguing. They may have many jokes, stories, and other remarks. There may be concepts or points. After hearing this several times, you start to think they're the only things. They seem to keep a list of smart or intriguing things to say and stop when they're done. None remain. Anything gets old after 50 listens. Since selfish people mostly copy, memorize...

Conger (/ˈkɒŋɡər/ KONG-gər) is a genus of marine congrid eels.[2] It includes some of the largest types of eels, ranging up to 2 m (6 ft) or more in length,[3] in the case of the European conger. Large congers have often been observed by divers during the day in parts of the Mediterranean Sea, and both European and American congers are sometimes caught by fishermen along the European and North American Atlantic coasts.
The life histories of most conger eels are poorly known. Based on collections of their small leptocephalus larvae, the American conger eel has been found to spawn in the southwestern Sargasso Sea, close to the spawning areas of the Atlantic freshwater eels.
"Conger" or "conger eel" is sometimes included in the common names of species of the family Congridae, including members of this genus.
Species
Conger cinereus Rüppell, 1830 (longfin African conger)
Conger conger (Linnaeus, 1758) (European conger)
Conger erebennus (D. S. Jordan & Snyder, 1901)
Conger esculentus Poey, 1861 (grey conger)
Conger macrocephalus Robert H. Kanazawa, 1958
Conger marginatus Valenciennes, 1850 (Hawaiian Mustache Conger)
Conger myriaster (Brevoort, 1856) (whitespotted conger)
Conger oceanicus (Mitchill, 1818) (American conger)
Conger oligoporus Kanazawa, 1958
Conger orbignianus Valenciennes, 1842 (Argentine conger)
Conger philippinus Kanazawa, 1958
Conger triporiceps Kanazawa, 1958 (manytooth conger)
Conger verreauxi Kaup, 1856 (southern conger)
Conger wilsoni (Bloch & J. G. Schneider, 1801) (Cape conger)
Formerly Included Species Edit
Conger anagoides Bleeker, 1853 (sea conger) - now Ariosoma anagoides
Conger auratus Costa, 1844 (bandtooth conger) - now Ariosoma balearicum
Fishing
Fishing for congers is recorded in the 12th-century; the Norman taxation Pipe Roll recorded two éperquerie on Guernsey and one on Sark which were designated places where conger were dried.
One species of the conger eel, Conger myriaster, is an important food fish in East Asia. It is often served as sushi.
Behaviour
Congers are predators and can attack humans. In July, 2013, a diver was attacked by a conger eel in Killary Harbour, Ireland, at a depth of 25 metres (82 ft). The eel bit a large chunk from his face. The diver reported the creature was more than 1.8 metres (5 ft 11 in) in length and "about the width of a human thigh"

Named Entity Linking (NEL): Connecting Entities to the World of Knowledge
Named Entity Linking (NEL) (https://schneppat.com/named-entity-linking-nel.html) is a crucial task in Natural Language Processing (NLP) (https://schneppat.com/...
Named Entity Linking (NEL) (https://schneppat.com/named-entity-linking-nel.html) is a crucial task in Natural Language Processing (NLP) (https://schneppat.com/natural-language-processing-nlp.html) that aims to associate named entities mentioned in text with their corresponding entries in a knowledge base or reference database. By leveraging various techniques, NEL enables machines to bridge the gap between textual mentions and the rich information available in structured knowledge sources. This process enhances the understanding of textual data and facilitates numerous applications such as information retrieval, question answering systems, and knowledge graph construction.
The Significance of NEL:
In today's information-rich world, connecting named entities to a knowledge base provides a deeper level of context and enables more comprehensive analysis. NEL enables systems to access additional information related to entities, such as their attributes, relationships, and semantic connections, thus enhancing the quality and richness of the extracted information.
Challenges in NEL:
Named Entity Linking poses several challenges due to the complexities of language, entity ambiguity, and the vastness of knowledge bases. Some key challenges include:
1. Entity Disambiguation: Identifying the correct entity when an entity mention is ambiguous or has multiple possible interpretations. Resolving these ambiguities requires contextual understanding and leveraging various clues within the text.
2. Knowledge Base Coverage: Knowledge bases may not encompass all entities mentioned in text, especially for emerging or domain-specific entities. Handling out-of-vocabulary or rare entities becomes a challenge in NEL.
3. Named Entity Variation: Entities can have different forms, such as acronyms, abbreviations, or alternative names. Linking these variations to the corresponding entity in the knowledge base requires robust techniques that can handle such variability.
Approaches to NEL:
NEL techniques employ a combination of linguistic analysis, machine learning (https://schneppat.com/machine-learning-ml.html) , and information retrieval strategies. These approaches leverage entity recognition (https://schneppat.com/named-entity-recognition-ner.html) and disambiguation algorithms to determine the context and semantic meaning of named entities.
Conclusion:
Named Entity Linking is a vital component in unlocking the potential of textual data by connecting named entities to the world of knowledge. Overcoming challenges in entity disambiguation, knowledge base coverage, and named entity variation is crucial for accurate and robust NEL. As NEL techniques advance, we can expect improved systems that seamlessly link entities to knowledge bases, paving the way for enhanced information extraction, knowledge management, and intelligent applications in diverse domains.

Since selfish people mostly copy, memorize, and repeat, this is especially true. Because of what they say, deeper conversation is limited.
things doesn't matter if they're knowledgeable or comprehend things deeper. Some perceive digging further or asking questions as intrusive and harmful since it implies you think they're wrong or don't know what they're talking about. This worry stems from the fact that they don't always do it, even though the questioners don't know. Narcissists typically ignore, answer in a circle, treat questions as aggressive, or don't answer them. Without the ability to ask questions or seek clarification, people can't communicate.

Ocean
Body of salt water covering the majority of Earth
This article is about natural science aspects of Earth's oceans as well as threats from human activities. For more on human experience, history and culture of oceans, see Sea. For other uses, see Ocean (disambiguation).
The ocean (also known as the sea or the world ocean) is a body of salt water that covers approximately 70.8% of the Earth and contains 97% of Earth's water. The term ocean also refers to any of the large bodies of water into which the world ocean is conventionally divided. Distinct names are used to identify five different areas of the ocean: Pacific (the largest), Atlantic, Indian, Southern, and Arctic (the smallest). Seawater covers approximately 361,000,000 km2 (139,000,000 sq mi) of the planet. The ocean is the primary component of the Earth's hydrosphere, and thus essential to life on Earth. The ocean influences climate and weather patterns, the carbon cycle, and the water cycle by acting as a huge heat reservoir.
Oceanographers split the ocean into vertical and horizontal zones based on physical and biological conditions. The pelagic zone is the open ocean's water column from the surface to the ocean floor. The water column is further divided into zones based on depth and the amount of light present. The photic zone starts at the surface and is defined to be "the depth at which light intensity is only 1% of the surface value": 36 (approximately 200 m in the open ocean). This is the zone where photosynthesis can occur. In this process plants and microscopic algae (free floating phytoplankton) use light, water, carbon dioxide, and nutrients to produce organic matter. As a result, the photic zone is the most biodiverse and the source of the food supply which sustains most of the ocean ecosystem. Ocean photosynthesis also produces half of the oxygen in the earth's atmosphere. Light can only penetrate a few hundred more meters; the rest of the deeper ocean is cold and dark (these zones are called mesopelagic and aphotic zones). The continental shelf is where the ocean meets dry land. It is more shallow, with a depth of a few hundred meters or less. Human activity often has negative impacts on the ecosystems within the continental shelf.
Ocean temperatures depend on the amount of solar radiation reaching the ocean surface. In the tropics, surface temperatures can rise to over 30 °C (86 °F). Near the poles where sea ice forms, the temperature in equilibrium is about −2 °C (28 °F). In all parts of the ocean, deep ocean temperatures range between −2 °C (28 °F) and 5 °C (41 °F). Constant circulation of water in the ocean creates ocean currents. These directed movements of seawater are caused by forces operating on the water, such as temperature variations, atmospheric circulation (wind), the Coriolis effect and salinity changes. Tides create tidal currents, while wind and waves cause surface currents. The Gulf Stream, Kuroshio Current, Agulhas Current and Antarctic Circumpolar Current are all major ocean currents. Currents transport massive amounts of water and heat around the world. By transporting these pollutants from the surface into the deep ocean, this circulation impacts global climate and the uptake and redistribution of pollutants such as carbon dioxide.
Ocean water contains a high concentration of dissolved gases, including oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen. This gas exchange occurs at the ocean's surface and solubility depends on the temperature and salinity of the water. Carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere rises due to fossil fuel combustion, which causes higher levels in ocean water, resulting in ocean acidification. The ocean provides crucial environmental services to humankind, such as climate regulation. It also provides a means of trade and transport as well as access to food and other resources. It is known to be the habitat of over 230,000 species, but may hold considerably more – perhaps over two million species. However, the ocean faces numerous human-caused environmental threats, such as marine pollution, overfishing, and effects of climate change on oceans such as ocean warming, ocean acidification and sea level rise. The continental shelf and coastal waters that are most affected by human activity are particularly vulnerable.

Tetraodontidae is a family of primarily marine and estuarine fish of the order Tetraodontiformes. The family includes many familiar species, which are variously called pufferfish, puffers, balloonfish, blowfish, bubblefish, globefish, swellfish, toadfish, toadies, honey toads, sugar toads, and sea squab.[1] They are morphologically similar to the closely related porcupinefish, which have large external spines (unlike the thinner, hidden spines of Tetraodontidae, which are only visible when the fish has puffed up). The scientific name refers to the four large teeth, fused into an upper and lower plate, which are used for crushing the shells of crustaceans and mollusks, their natural prey.
Pufferfish are generally believed to be the second-most poisonous vertebrates in the world, after the golden poison frog. Certain internal organs, such as liver, and sometimes the skin, are highly toxic to most animals when eaten; nevertheless, the meat of some species is considered a delicacy in Japan (as 河豚, pronounced as fugu), Korea (as bok), and China (as 河豚 hétún) when prepared by chefs who know which part is safe to eat and in what quantity.
The Tetraodontidae contain at least 120 species of puffers in 19 genera.[1] They are most diverse in the tropics and relatively uncommon in the temperate zone and completely absent from cold waters. They are typically small to medium in size, although a few species can reach lengths of greater than 100 cm (39 in).[2]
