Brent Kite (born 7 March 1981 in Queanbeyan, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer currently playing in the NRL with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles. A Tonga and Australia international, and New South Wales State of Origin representative front-row forward, he has played club football for the St. George Illawarra Dragons and the Sea Eagles. Kite was named the Clive Churchill Medallist for his performance in the Grand Final in 2008, in which he helped steer Manly-Warringah to a 40 - 0 thumping of the Melbourne Storm, scoring one try.

Kite played junior football with the Queanbeyan Blues. He represented the Australian Schoolboys side their tour of New Zealand in 1998. He spent three years with the Canberra Raiders lower grades sides following his graduation from Erindale College. In late 2000 he travelled to Europe to represent Tonga alongside Willie Mason in the 2000 World Cup.

Kite made his first grade debut for the St George Illawarra Dragons against the Cronulla Sharks at Aussie Stadium on 17 March 2002. Kite moved from the second-row into the front-row following injuries at St George in early 2004. Kite left the Dragons at the end of the 2004 NRL season with both parties citing salary cap constraints as the reason for his move to the Manly Sea Eagles.

Samuel Thaiday (born 12 June 1985 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who captains the Brisbane Broncos of the National Rugby League. An Australian international and Queensland State of Origin representative forward, he has spent all of his career at the Broncos, with whom he won the 2006 premiership. In 2008, Australia's centenary of rugby league and Thaiday's sixth year at the top level, he was one of only three current players to be named in the Indigenous Australian rugby league team of the century. He is the cousin of Milton Thaiday.

Thaiday, who is of Torres Strait Islander descent, was born in Sydney. Moving to Queensland, he played for the Brothers club in Townsville, attending Kirwan State High School. On 11 July 2003, aged 18, he made his National Rugby League debut for the Brisbane Broncos against the Bulldogs in round 18 of the 2003 NRL season.

Solid form in the first 10 weeks of the Broncos season earned Thaiday a spot on the Queensland bench for game one of the 2006 State of Origin series. He was also selected on the bench for the following two games for the Maroons, who went on to win the series. After that, when the Broncos were in the "slump that wasn't a slump", coach Wayne Bennett moved Thaiday from the bench to the starting side.^{[citation needed]} This, among other changes, saw the Broncos' season turn around, and they ended up winning the 2006 NRL Grand Final.

Geoffrey "Geoff" Toovey (born 17 June 1969) is an Australian rugby league coach and former professional player of the late 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. He was educated at Davidson High School. He was a halfback then later a hooker for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles (later to become the Northern Eagles), playing in 286 first-grade matches and captaining Manly to the 1996 ARL premiership and the 1995 and 1997 grand finals. He played in 13 international matches for Australia between 1991 and 1998.

Toovey is currently the head coach of Manly. He is a qualified accountant and a member of the board of the National Roads and Motorists' Association.

He debuted in May 1988 as a replacement for Cliff Lyons then was picked a few weeks later for Manly's 30–0 upset against a touring Great Britain side. Lyons at five-eighth and Toovey at halfback formed a long standing and strong partnership enabling Manly to be consistent finals contenders all through the 1990s.

He took over as Manly captain from Michael O'Connor in 1993 and led the side to three Grand Final appearances from 1995 to 1997. He won one premiership against St George in 1996 playing the match with a fractured eye socket and was honoured on the day as winner of the Clive Churchill Medal.

Charlie Tonga (born: 27 September 1977, Tonga) is a retired professional rugby league footballer and current coach of the Tongan national team.

Tonga is recognised as a powerful front-row forward, formerly with the Sydney Roosters and Canterbury Bulldogs, noted for his damaging running ability.

In his time at both clubs, he has played only a handful of First Grade games. Charles spent most of his time at the Roosters playing for the club's feeder team - The Newtown Jets.

Tonga is clearly a player that is yet to realise his full potential. With greater concentration on the field and with greater conditioning, he could eventually become one of the most feared forwards in the competition.

Tonga is a committed Christian pastor and youth minister who is called "Power Up" in Campbelltown, and works with kids at risk.

In 2008 Tonga signed with Easts Tigers in the Queensland Cup competition. He has been a successful player and leader for the Tigers in the 2008 season.

From the beginning of the 2007 NRL season, Charles has asked NRL commentators to stop referring to him as "Charlie". He now prefers to be called by his full name, "Charles".
