The Royal Air Force (RAF) is the aerial warfare service branch of the British Armed Forces. Formed on 1 April 1918, it is the oldest independent air force in the world. The RAF has taken a significant role in British military history, playing a large part in the Second World War and in more recent conflicts.
The RAF is one of the most capable and technologically sophisticated air forces in the world. As of January 2012[update] it operated 827 aircraft, making it the largest air force of a European Union country and the second largest in NATO (after the USAF). Most of the RAF's aircraft and personnel are based in the UK, with many others serving on operations (principally Afghanistan and the Middle East) or at long-established overseas bases (Ascension Island, Cyprus, Gibraltar, and the Falkland Islands).
The RAF's mission is to support the objectives of the British Ministry of Defence (MoD), which are to "provide the capabilities needed: to ensure the security and defence of the United Kingdom and overseas territories, including against terrorism; to support the Government’s foreign policy objectives particularly in promoting international peace and security."
All through a life
And through the lives that came before
The ties that bind to blind
Of those that came before
I'm looking back
And in looking back I hope to get beyond
And start to mend all those days
That they left undone
But in my veins a trace remains
And to want in the face of need
Well it just seems so obscene
But that's all thats left
And that's all they've left to leave
And then they point to themselves and say,
"I look like you."
And it hurts to hear and so it must be true
But in my veins a trace remains
But I think it's going to be alright
I think it's going to be o.k.
I think of those days that came before
I got my keys
I got you girl.
And it's all I needed apparently
Because we live in a fake town,
Surprise surprise,
Full of fake ass people
And they'll try to put on the heat to bring us down,
But we can run from the fire
Faster than we put it out.
I'll drive rest your feet on the dashboard,
Wild and free like the windows
Filled with the summer breeze.
Little does she know
As she sings along, to all our favorite songs,
I fall in love with every single word she sings...
I never had nothing worth what she's given me,
And that is something, something worth living for.
Her smile leaves my worries miles and miles behind,
And so I drive faster and faster
This is the good life.
I'll drive rest your feet on the dashboard,
Wild and free like the windows
Filled with the summer breeze.
Little does she know
As she sings along, to all our favorite songs,
I fall in love with every single word she sings...
We are singing, we are bringing,
The sound of what seems to be,
The soundtrack of a tale
To live in infamy
I'll drive rest your feet on the dashboard,
Wild and free like the windows
Filled with the summer breeze.
Little does she know
As she sings along, to all our favorite songs,
