Alexander
Alexander (/ˈæləɡzˈændər/, /ˈæləɡzˈɑːndər/) is a common male first name, and less common surname derived from the Greek "Αλέξανδρος" (Aléxandros). The most famous is Alexander the Great, who created one of the largest empires in ancient history.
Origin
Etymologically, the name is derived from the Greek Ἀλέξανδρος (Aléxandros), meaning "Defender of the people" or "Defending men" and also, "Protector of men", a compound of the verb ἀλέξειν alexein, "to ward off, to avert, to defend" and the noun ἀνήρ anēr, "man" (GEN ἀνδρός andros). It is an example of the widespread motif of Greek (or Indo-European more generally) names expressing "battle-prowess", in this case the ability to withstand or push back an enemy battle line.
The earliest attested form of the name is the Mycenaean Greek feminine anthroponym 𐀀𐀩𐀏𐀭𐀅𐀨, a-re-ka-sa-da-ra (transcribed as Alexandra), written in the Linear B syllabic script.
The name was one of the titles ("epithets") given to the Greek goddess Hera and as such is usually taken to mean "one who comes to save warriors". In the Iliad, the character Paris is known also as Alexander. The name's popularity was spread throughout the Greek world by the military conquests of King Alexander III, commonly known as "Alexander the Great". Most later Alexanders in various countries were directly or indirectly named for him.

Alexander Igoryevich Rybak (Russian: Алекса́ндр И́горевич Рыба́к, tr. Aleksandr Igorevich Rybak) or in Belarusian Alyaxandr Igaravich Rybak (Belarusian: Алякса́ндр І́гаравіч Рыба́к, tr. Alyaksandr Iharavich Rybak; born 13 May 1986 in Byelorussian SSR, Soviet Union) is a Belarusian-Norwegian singer-composer, violinist, pianist, writer, actor and presenter/host. Representing Norway in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, Russia, Rybak won the contest with 387 points—the highest tally any country has achieved in the history of Eurovision—with "Fairytale", a song he wrote and composed. His debut album, Fairytales, charted in the top 20 in nine European countries, including a No. 1 position in Norway and Russia.
Education
Rybak has been a student at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo since the age of 10. Due to his success in the Eurovision Song Contest, he took a break from his bachelor's degree studies at the institute, but in 2011, he returned to his studies and in June 2012, he graduated from Barratt Due Institute of Music with a Bachelor of Music in violin performance.

The Fountain of Bakhchisarai 1953
The Fountain of Bakhchisarai (Russian: Бахчисарайский фонтан) is a Russian ballet inspired by the 1823 poem by Alexander Pushkin of the same title. With music by Boris Asafyev and choreography by Rostislav Zakharov, the ballet premiered in Saint Petersburg, (then Leningrad) in 1934 at the Kirov Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet (now the Mariinsky Theatre). Übungen, die das Auge durchbluten und trainieren ermöglichen klares und scharfes Sehen - ganz ohne Medikamente und Hilfsmittel.
Professor Zhdanov ist zwar der weltführende Spezialist dieser Methode, erfunden hat sie jedoch der amerikanische Professor William Bates. Und das schon im Jahre 1901. Er erbrachte in einer wissenschaftlichen Studie den Beweis, daß die um 1860 herum entwickelte Theorie des Universalgelehrten Hermann von Helmholtz über die Verformung (Akkommodation) der Linse im Auge durch die Zilliarmuskeln unzutreffend ist. Nicht die Muskeln an der Linse flachen diese ab oder stauchen sie kugeliger, sondern die das Auge umfangenden Muskeln, die für die Augenbewegungen zuständig sind, drücken den Augapfel leicht zusammen, so daß er länger wird oder stauchen ihn, so daß er kugeliger wird und stellen so die Sehschärfe her.
Dennoch stützt sich die heutige Ophthalmologie noch auf die Theorie von Helmholtz
Die Muskeln um den Augapfel herum kann man mittels erprobter und ausgearbeiteter Übungen trainieren.
Diese Trainigsmethode ermöglicht beachtliche Erfolge. Bisweilen können Brillenträger ihre Sehhilfen nach wenigen Wochen nicht nur wegwerfen, sie sehen auch deutlich besser, als vorher mit Brille. Die von Zhdanov erarbeiteten und bewährten Methoden setzen auf eine Kombination aus Psychologie, Physik und da der Optik. Seine Erfolge in der ganzen Welt belegen die Wirksamkeit. Die Grundlage der von Zhdanov entwickelten "Sehkrafthygiene" besteht aus drei Pfeilern:
Dem "Palming" (aus dem englischen palm = Handinnenfläche), bei dem man mit den übereinandergelegten Handflächen die geschlossenen Augen abdeckt.
Einer speziellen Augengymnastik, die man dreimal täglich vor dem Essen absolviert
So wenig wie möglich Brillen und andere Hilfsmittel einsetzen, sondern die Augen benutzen und in Form halten, auf gesunde Ernährung achten.
Professor Zhdanov erläutert die einfachen Grundübungen in diesem Film und demonstriert sie zum Teil auch, so daß sie jeder selbst üben kann. Auf diese Weise kann man seine Sehfähigkeit auch mit dem Basistraining schon verbessern - oder länger behalten.
Außerdem spielt die Ernährung eine Rolle, durch die man die Regenerierung des Auges mit all seinen zusammenwirkenden Teilen fördern kann. Dazu zählen zum Beispiel Produkte aus Bienen-Propolis und frische Heidelbeeren. Bienengift aktiviert die Arbeit der Sehnerven.

Sehen ohne Brille - die Zhdanov-Methode
Wladimir Georgievich Zhdanov im Gespräch mit Michael Friedrich Vogt.
Wladimir Zhdanov ist Professor an der internationalen, slawischen Akademie und Leiter des Instituts für praktische Psychologie und Psychoanalyse. Desweiteren ist er Doktor der Mathematik und der Physik mit dem Schwerpunkt Optik. An seinem Institut behandelt er Menschen mit jeder Art von Süchten ohne den Einsatz von Medikamenten - und der Wiederherstellung der Sehkraft bei Menschen, deren Sehfähigkeit eingeschränkt ist. Dies erreicht er ohne Operationen, Laser oder Brille.
Die an diesem Institut entwickelten Methoden sind auf der ganzen Welt anerkannt - allerdings nicht bei den meisten Augenärzten der Schulmedizin. Die nachweislichen Erfolge Zhdanovs überzeugen aber nach und nach auch die Schulmediziner. Die Behandlungsmethode nach Zhdanov kommt ganz ohne Brille und Medikamente aus, ja sogar langjährige Brillenträger erlangen zum Teil ihre volle Sehkraft wieder. Übungen, die das Auge durchbluten und trainieren ermöglichen klares und scharfes Sehen - ganz ohne Medikamente und Hilfsmittel.
Professor Zhdanov ist zwar der weltführende Spezialist dieser Methode, erfunden hat sie jedoch der amerikanische Professor William Bates. Und das schon im Jahre 1901. Er erbrachte in einer wissenschaftlichen Studie den Beweis, daß die um 1860 herum entwickelte Theorie des Universalgelehrten Hermann von Helmholtz über die Verformung (Akkommodation) der Linse im Auge durch die Zilliarmuskeln unzutreffend ist. Nicht die Muskeln an der Linse flachen diese ab oder stauchen sie kugeliger, sondern die das Auge umfangenden Muskeln, die für die Augenbewegungen zuständig sind, drücken den Augapfel leicht zusammen, so daß er länger wird oder stauchen ihn, so daß er kugeliger wird und stellen so die Sehschärfe her.
Dennoch stützt sich die heutige Ophthalmologie noch auf die Theorie von Helmholtz
Die Muskeln um den Augapfel herum kann man mittels erprobter und ausgearbeiteter Übungen trainieren.
Diese Trainigsmethode ermöglicht beachtliche Erfolge. Bisweilen können Brillenträger ihre Sehhilfen nach wenigen Wochen nicht nur wegwerfen, sie sehen auch deutlich besser, als vorher mit Brille. Die von Zhdanov erarbeiteten und bewährten Methoden setzen auf eine Kombination aus Psychologie, Physik und da der Optik. Seine Erfolge in der ganzen Welt belegen die Wirksamkeit. Die Grundlage der von Zhdanov entwickelten "Sehkrafthygiene" besteht aus drei Pfeilern:
Dem "Palming" (aus dem englischen palm = Handinnenfläche), bei dem man mit den übereinandergelegten Handflächen die geschlossenen Augen abdeckt.
Einer speziellen Augengymnastik, die man dreimal täglich vor dem Essen absolviert
So wenig wie möglich Brillen und andere Hilfsmittel einsetzen, sondern die Augen benutzen und in Form halten, auf gesunde Ernährung achten.
Professor Zhdanov erläutert die einfachen Grundübungen in diesem Film und demonstriert sie zum Teil auch, so daß sie jeder selbst üben kann. Auf diese Weise kann man seine Sehfähigkeit auch mit dem Basistraining schon verbessern - oder länger behalten.
Außerdem spielt die Ernährung eine Rolle, durch die man die Regenerierung des Auges mit all seinen zusammenwirkenden Teilen fördern kann. Dazu zählen zum Beispiel Produkte aus Bienen-Propolis und frische Heidelbeeren. Bienengift aktiviert die Arbeit der Sehnerven.

Der Mensch besteht hauptsächlich aus Wasser. Es ist das wichtigste Element auf der Erde. Um so mehr ist es deshalb entscheidend, daß wir dafür sorgen, daß dieses Wasser, in unserem Körper eine hohe Qualität besitzt.
Sauberes Wasser ist nicht selbstverständlich. Kläranlagen können zwar unglaubliche Reinigungsarbeiten leisten. Allerdings ist auch bekannt, daß viele Stoffe nicht aus dem Wasser zu filtern oder zu binden sind. So verbleiben z.B. Hormone, Medikamentenrückstände, Nanopartikeln, Kosmetikstoffen, Herbizide, Pestizide, Fungizide, Schwer- und Leitmetalle, chemische Rückstände, Gase wie Chlor u. s. w. im Wasser – was aber in Dosis & Dauer unsere Gesundheit und unsere Entschlackungsfähigkeit massiv beeinträchtigt.

With music by Boris Asafyev and choreography by Rostislav Zakharov, the ballet premiered in Saint Petersburg, (then Leningrad) in 1934 at the Kirov Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet (now the Mariinsky Theatre).
Bakhchisarai is in the Crimea, near Yalta. Bakhchisarai Palace was originally built in the sixteenth century and has been repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt since. The fountain, which actually exists, is called the Fountain of Tears.
In the film version the roles were danced by Galina Ulanova as Maria, Maya Plisetskaya as Zarema, Pyotr Gusev as Khan Girey, and Yuri Zhdanov as Vaslav. This is the only known footage of Ulanova and Plisetskaya, who succeeded Ulanova as prima ballerina assoluta of the Bolshoi Theatre, dancing together.

Prokofiev Cello Sonata in C major, Op. 119, was composed of by Sergei Prokofiev in 1949. The year before, Prokofiev was accused of formalism by the Zhdanov. Much of his music was banned by the decree. However, he continued to compose music, though he was not sure if his new works would ever be performed in public. Despite the sheer horror that besieged Prokofiev at the time of the work’s composition, the work remained remarkably expressive. The first movement, marked Andante grave, opens with a resounding cello, followed by a short call-and-response folk melody between the cello and piano. A throbbing interlude brings the main theme, a cheery and flippant duet. The movement slows as the cello rings out a beautiful harmonic cadence, and the second theme enters much more heavily mechanically than the first. The second movement, a playful Scherzo and Trio, follows suit. A percussive pizzicato gives a different character from the previous movement. To me, it gives a static, mocking image against the Soviet Union by making the music sarcastic, filled with dry humor. The final Allegro ma non tanto remains timid, with melodies and choral structure based heavily on Russian folk music. With little energy and drive, this movement becomes more simplistic rather than developing in timbre and expressivity. The coda recounts the opening resonant notes of the cello in a grand duet statement, marking a turbulent and virtuosic conclusion. Even though his music was not allowed to perform publicly, he still made his argument throughout the piece. It is arguable whether his music responded to socialist realism and his voice of opposition.
