Syria Civil War 2013 - Battlefield Syria: Heavy Fighting Clashes And Firefights. Heavy Fighting, Heavy Clashes and Intense Firefights. This pictures do we get if we look up the internet for Syria Videos. No war ever before was so well documented by alternatet sources like the Syrian Civil War. In 2013 there was such an high amount and flood of informations, pictures and videos about this conflict that it is impossible to cover them all up in just one video. This compilation brings back some famous scenes of the conflict that apeared on the net in 2013. It shows footage of the Syrian Army and also of the Syrian Rebells in HD. It dont seems like this storm of raw information will end in 2014 as there is still no end of the conflict in sign. Description and Timeline of the Happenings: 00:11-1:15 T72 oboard GoPro films Syrian Army Bmp driving on an IED during SAA Assault on Rebel held positions in Damascus. 1:15-2:44 T72 onboard GoPro films Rebel ambush on firendly T72 Tank wich results in the lost of one Tank. The View also switches to the rebel perspective and shows their view on the Tank Unit. 2:44-6:26 Al-Nusra Front in heavy intense urban fighting firefight action against government forces in Deir-eZ Zor. The Al-Nusra Front is a radical islamists group fighting to establish a religious state under the sharia law in Syria. 6:26-8:27 Members of the Islamic Front in heavy fighting against government forces in Eastern Ghouta during the rebel Ghouta Offensive. The Islamic Front is a merger of seven rebel groups involved in the Syrian civil war who joined their forces together in November 2013. 8:28-9:15 A Syrian chopper flying high above Damascus dodges a multitude of heat-seeking missiles. 9:15-10:20 Free Syrian Army technical who tries to supress Syrian Army Sniper with heavy machine gun fire has an intense fierce close call with incoming government shell on the frontline in Aleppo. 10:20-11:13 Syrian Army T72 Tanks onboard turretcameras capture failed RPG attack conducted by Rebel forces hiding in a shool. One of the Tanks repells with a heavy round. 11:13-12:44 Sunni Syrian Arab Army defectors who joined the ranks of the FSA in extreme heavy firefight during rebel assault on the Menagh Airport in Aleppo. The Airport was taken by militants of the Al-Nusra Front in August 2013. It was much discussed if the fighter seen in the Video are regular FSA rebels or radical militants from outside but according to their group behaviour, comunication and movement during the whole combat situation it is very likely that they are sunni ex-army members who defected to the Free Syrian Army. Also you can see a kuran lying in the dirt next to him. Radical islamists wouldnt do this because for them the kuran is to holy to let him lying on the ground. Also their accents where clearly identyfied to be strong Syrian Aleppo Accents wich means they are Syrians. 12:44-13:28 Syrian helicopter explodes in mid-air after beeing shot by rebel anti air missle in Idlib. 13:29-14:14 Syrian rebel T55 gets heavy hit during intense street fighting. 14:14-15:23 Rebels captured their assault on an army held checkpoint in Idlib with an Guncam attached to one of their fighters AKs. 15:23-16:52 Members of the Al-Nusra Front trying to storm the Kindi Hospital in Aleppo. 16:52-20:55 Syrian Army T72 onboard GoPro cams filming their attack on an rebel held neighbourhood of Damascus. 20:55-24:49 Syrian army in heavy firefight during heavy intense combat action in Darayya. 24:49-26:41 Al-Nusra militants in heavy clashes with the Syrian Army in the outskirts of the Al-Hawiqa District/Ahoigah neighborhood near the Jura bridge in Deir ez-Zor. 26:41-32:55 Syrian tanks attacking rebel controlled area together with infantry units in Al-Kabun. 32:55-34:56 Insurgents in clashes with government forces outside Idlib. 34:56-37:00 Free Syrian Army in heavy street fights with government forces in Idlib. 37:00-41:50 Heavy firefight and clashes between Al-Qaeda and Syrian rebels in Aleppo. 41:50-42:48 Syrian Insurgent uses Austrian Steyr AUG in streetfight action against regime forces. Syria: Al-Qaeda's New Home
Three years ago, an uprising against the Assad regime turned into what looked like a straightforward civil war between Syrian government forces and rebels. However, over time, what had started as a largely secular opposition movement began to take on more of a radical Islamist tone, with two al Qaeda offshoots -- the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) and Jabhat al-Nusra -- becoming the dominant forces on the ground across the rebel-held North. One VICE filmmaker managed to secure unprecedented access to both al-Qaeda factions battling Syria's government forces, despite the risk of journalists being kidnapped. This is a remarkable portrait of the foreign volunteers and local Syrians willing to fight and die to establish a new caliphate on Europe's doorstep. Subscribe to VICE News here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-VICE-News The Syrian revolution just turned three years old, but for the past year things haven't looked good for the rebels. Attacked from behind by the renegade Al Qaeda splinter group the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, or ISIS, and from in front by a resurgent regime, Syria's moderate revolutionaries have been on a losing streak. But since the New Year, everything's changed, at least in the rebel-held north. ISIS is now fighting every other armed group in the country, and is abandoning its former strongholds all across northern Syria. A VICE News crew, the first western journalists in northwest Syria for months, has embedded with Syrian rebels fighting ISIS, and is following their rapid advance across Idlib province, until yesterday an ISIS stronghold. This is the only footage to come from the Syrian war's most recent and least understood turning point. One of the most powerful forces in the Middle East - set up to oppose Israel and designated a terrorist group by the US and EU. But over the last year, Lebanon's Shi-ite Hezbollah militia - heavily backed by Iran - has begun to change the military balance in the SYRIAN civil war in favour of the Assad regime. .Sign up for Snowmail, your daily preview of what is on Channel 4 News, sent straight to your inbox, here: http://mailing.channel4.com/public/snowmail/remotebox.jsp Missed Channel 4 News? Rojava: Syria's Unknown War
Check out all the episodes of VICE News here: http://bit.ly/PILfBe As Syria's bloody civil war enters its third year, fighting has reached the country's Kurdish-dominated northeast, a region until recently almost untouched by the conflict. The Kurdish PYD party and its YPG militia, which is affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in neighboring Turkey, took over control of much of Hassakeh province from the Assad regime in the summer of 2012, and with it control of Syria's precious oilfields. But the PYD's hopes of staying neutral in the conflict and building an autonomous Kurdish state were dashed when clashes broke out with Syrian rebel forces in the strategic border city of Ras al-Ayn. That encounter quickly escalated into an all-out war between the Kurds and a powerful alliance of jihadist groups, including the al-Qaeda affiliates ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra. In September of 2013, VICE crossed the border into Syria's Kurdish region to document the YPG's counteroffensive against the jihadists, who had struck deep into rural Hassakeh in an attempt to surround and capture Ras al-Ayn. With unparalleled access to the Kurdish and Syrian Christian fighters on the frontlines, we found ourselves witnessing a bitter and almost unreported conflict within the Syrian war, where the Assad regime is a neutral spectator in a life or death struggle between jihadist-led rebels and Kurdish nationalists, pitting village against village and neighbor against neighbor. Battle for Syria: Insider access to the bloody Syrian war alongside the rebels. For downloads and more information visit: http://www.journeyman.tv/?lid=64417 Get to the heart of a dirty war of vigilante justice, rag-tag militias and indiscriminate violence: this is the stark reality of the Syrian frontline In a shot-out car a dead man lies across his wife in a hopeless attempt to save her. The rebels, led here by Abu Muhammad, a former army colonel, thought they had cleared the snipers from this area. But they were wrong. His men are immensely brave and committed, but also undisciplined: "The problem is they don't follow directions. If they follow 15% of the plan that's great!" With the government unwilling to engage in direct conflict with the rebels, for fear that those in the lower ranks will defect, snipers have become key to their strategy and leave a trail of dead bodies, young and old, in their wake. However, it's not just the government who are guilty of excesses. When the rebels capture a civilian trying to sell information to the army, they torture him for two hours, despite Abu Muhammad's assertion he will get a fair trial after the conflict. But Abu Muhammad has greater worries. His group are low on ammunition and believe they can only win through "casualties and a willingness to die". Their current "marriage of convenience" with Islamic fundamentalists also worries him. What will they do if they hijack the revolution? "The real battle for Syria begins after victory. We will fight anyone who tries to turn our country into an extreme Islamic state." Produced by Clover Films. Syria War - Heavy Intense Clashes And Fighting During The Battle For Mork Hama, Syria Civil War 2014. Heavy intense Clashes, Fighting and Firefight raging in Mork one of the most conflicting areas in Syria at this moment. Morks main highway leads from Hama northwards towards Khan Sheikhoun where also extreme fighting takes place between rebels and the syrian army . Booth towns holding a strategic importance because of its main supply road running towards Idlib. Due to its importance the Syrian Army recently launched a large scale operation to retake Mork. The area has been shelled and heavy fighting has been reported everywhere from North to South Mork. As seen in the video there is a lot of accurate and also sporadic inaccurate shelling onto rebel held positions. According to opposition sources this shelling has cost many lives and rebel forces in the area have asked for reinforcements to be sent to Mork. After this request there where activists reports from Kafr Zita, in the Hama governorate, that the Islamic Front And Al-Nusra Front deployed reinforcements to the city of Mork. At this time the fighting still rages on with daily firefights and clashes. The Syrian Army still tryies to retake the lsot city with heavy fire, artillery shelling and tanks. The rebels on their side started to take defence positions and their main goal is to hold the town and push back the syrian army attack in order to cut the syrian armys supply line to Idlib and make progress being able to advance to towards Khan Sheikhoun to take this town too. Mork, located near to Hama, is mainly inhabited by Syrian Sunnis but the town is also known to have a to have a small Alawite population. Syria War - Heavy Clashes And Intense Fighting Near The Turkish Border | Syrian Civil War 2014. Heavy clashes, fighting an fireifghts errupted in Latakia near the turkish border as rebel forces launched a large scale offensive in the region. Hard-line Islamic rebels captured a small town in northwestern Syria near the Turkish border as part of their offensive in the rugged coastal region that is a bastion of support for President Bashar Assad. Fighters from an array of armed opposition groups seized the predominantly Armenian Christian town of Kassab on Sunday. The rebels, including militant from the al-Qaida-affiliated Nusra Front, have also wrested control of a nearby border crossing to Turkey. The advances, while minor in terms of territory, provided a welcome boost to a beleaguered rebellion that has suffered a string of battlefield losses in recent weeks. Forces loyal to Assad have captured several towns near Syria's border with Lebanon as part of a government offensive aimed severing rebel supply lines across the porous frontier and securing the border. Rebels launched their offensive on Friday in Latakia province, which is the ancestral home of the Assad family and a stronghold of his Alawite sect. Since then, the fighting has focused around Kassab and the nearby border crossing. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said rebels were in control of the center of Kassab on Monday but that clashes were raging in the hills outside of town. Government warplanes were conducting airstrikes on several positions in the area, including Nabeh al-Murr and the scattering of homes and fields surrounding Kassab, the Observatory said. There was no immediate word on casualties. This is not the first significant rebel offensive in Latakia. Last August, a mix of moderate and extremist rebel brigades captured around a dozen villages in the Latakia mountains, before a government counteroffensive expelled them. Afterward, Human Rights Watch said nearly 200 civilians, including children, the elderly and the handicapped, were killed in the attack. It said rebel abuses during the operation amounted to war crimes. The offensive is called the Battle For Anfal and fightin is still going on at the momment. The government positions are held by mebers of the Syrian Army and the National Defence Force . Syria - FSA Take On Assad's Forces (Baynetna 2014)
The Syrian uprising is an ongoing internal conflict in Syria, a part of the wider Arab Spring, that began in January 2011. Public demonstrations first took place on 26 January 2011, but were only a sporadic occurrence until mass protests erupted in Damascus on 15 March.[48] The situation quickly developed into a full-scale nationwide uprising, with protesters demanding the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad and the overthrow of the government. The situation in Syria is part of the Arab Spring, a wave of social upheaval throughout the Arab World demanding greater political freedom and an end to autocracy. Inspired by the successful revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt, Syrian protesters have employed the use of tactics such as marches, hunger strikes, rioting, and vandalism, in a sustained campaign of civil resistance aimed at ending nearly five decades of Ba'athist rule. The uprising was described as "unprecedented" by several political commentators Read more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011%E2%80%932012_Syrian_uprising- published: 29 Mar 2014
