English Americans (occasionally known as Anglo-Americans, although this may have a wider linguistic meaning) are citizens of the United States whose ancestry originates wholly or partly in England.

According to American Community Survey in 2010 data, Americans reporting English ancestry made up an estimated 9.0% of the total U.S. population, and form the third largest European ancestry group after German Americans and Irish Americans. However, demographers regard this as an undercount, as the index of inconsistency is high, and many, if not most, people from English stock have a tendency to identify simply as Americans or, if of mixed European ancestry, nominate a more recent and differentiated ethnic group. Throughout the nineteenth century, England was the largest investor in American land development, railroads, mining, cattle ranching, and heavy industry. Perhaps because English settlers gained easy acceptance, they founded few organizations dedicated to preserving the traditions of their homeland.

British Americans are citizens of the United States whose ancestry originates wholly or partly in the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland). The term is seldom used by people to refer to themselves (1,172,050 chose it in the 2009 American Community Survey) and is used primarily as a demographic or historical research term. In the modern age, it can refer to British people who live and work in the United States (some of whom become American citizens), and Americans who do the same in the United Kingdom.

According to American Community Survey in 2009 data, Americans reporting British ancestry made up an estimated (40,234,652) or 13.0% of the total U.S. population, and form the third largest European ancestry group after German Americans and Irish Americans. This is an approx 35% drop from the population figures derived from the 1980 United States Census.

However, demographers regard this as an undercount as the index of inconsistency is high, and many, if not most, people from English stock have a tendency to identify simply as Americans or, if of mixed European ancestry, nominate a more recent and differentiated ethnic group. Consequently, many well-established white Americans have at least some British ancestry^{[citation needed]}, including many who identify primarily with other ethnic groups (such as Irish, German, Scandinavian, and so forth).

Amy Frances Walker (born September 1, 1982) is an American actress, singer, and co-founder of the ConnectedFilm project.

Walker was born in Seattle, Washington. Growing up, she performed in a wide variety of plays and musicals, including Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Hero in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing and Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker.

Walker studied acting and singing at the University of Wollongong in Australia. From Australia, she moved to Wellington, New Zealand, where she played Joan in the wartime love story short film Dead Letters by Paolo Rotondo.

Walker wrote a screenplay for a film called Connected, with help from her script adviser, Marilee Jolin. Together with Sander Kallshian, the three co-founded the production company SoulFire Films. They created ConnectedFilm.com to fund Connected by dollar donations from 1 million people around the world, listing the names of every donor in the credits of the finished film "to show that each gift is equally important". Amy Walker and Mike Shafer were awarded Best Music Video for "We Are Connected" at the Raindance Short Film Festival.

Alice Sophia Eve (born 6 February 1982) is an English actress. She is known her roles films such as She's Out of My League, Sex and the City 2, Men in Black 3. She will also star in the upcoming The Decoy Bride.

Eve was born in London, England, the daughter of actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. She has two younger brothers, Jack and George. Eve is of English, Welsh and Irish descent. She attended Bedales School and then took her A-Levels at Westminster School in London. During her gap year, she studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then read English at St Catherine's College, Oxford. Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born 15 April 1990) is an English actress and model.

Emma Watson was born in Paris to Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both British lawyers. Watson has one French grandmother, and lived in Paris until the age of five. Following her parents' divorce, she moved with her mother and younger brother to Oxfordshire.
