Celia Keenan-Bolger (born January 26, 1978) is an American actress and singer.
Keenan-Bolger was born in Detroit, Michigan. She is an alumna of the Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit and the Detroit School of Arts High School (formerly the Detroit High School for the Fine and Performing Arts). She is a graduate of the University of Michigan's musical theatre performance program. She is one of three children, all of whom are involved in the performing arts. Her brother, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, also graduated from the University of Michigan with a BFA in musical theatre in 2007. Already a Broadway veteran, Andrew joined the national touring company of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in the fall of 2007. Her sister, Maggie Keenan-Bolger, who wrote the noted play From the Inside, Out, studied theatre and gender and women's studies at Oberlin College and graduated in 2006.
She married actor John Ellison Conlee in 2010 and announced that she is six months pregnant with the couple's first child in February, 2015. Their son, William Emmett Conlee, was born on April 29, 2015.
Peter and the Starcatcher is a play based on the 2006 novel of a similar name by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, adapted for the stage by Rick Elice. The play provides a backstory for the character Peter Pan, and serves as a prequel to J. M. Barrie's Peter and Wendy. After a premiere in California at the La Jolla Playhouse, the play transferred to Off-Broadway in 2011 and opened on Broadway on April 15, 2012. The show ended its Broadway run on January 20, 2013, and reopened Off-Broadway once again at New World Stages in March 2013, ending in January 2014.
Show People is a 1928 American silent comedy film directed by King Vidor. The film was a starring vehicle for actress Marion Davies and actor William Haines and included notable cameo appearances by many of the film personalities of the day, including stars Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, William S. Hart and John Gilbert, and writer Elinor Glyn. Vidor also appears in a cameo as himself, as does Davies (to a decidedly unimpressed reaction by herself in character as Peggy Pepper).
The film is a lighthearted look at Hollywood at the end of the silent film era (it was released the year after breakthrough talking picture The Jazz Singer), and is considered Davies' best role. Show People features no audible dialog but was released with a Movietone soundtrack with a synchronized musical score and sound effects. The film was re-released in the 1980s, with a new orchestral score by Carl Davis.
In 2003, Show People was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". It is currently available on DVD on-demand as part of the Warner Archive collection.

First aired: November 23, 2013. We welcome actresses Cherry Jones and Celia Keenan-Bolger, now appearing on Broadway in director John Tiffany's celebrated production of "The Glass Menagerie." The duo explain why they both agreed to appear in this revival of Tennessee Williams's classic autobiographical drama, a play which initially didn't appeal to either of them. "It was just so grim," explains Jones. Next up, we are joined by Susan L. Schulman to discuss her memoir, BACKSTAGE PASS TO BROADWAY: True Tales from a Theatre Press Agent. "Press agents," Riedel tells us, "are an important part of the Broadway jungle." It is a career which requires great patience and diplomacy to succeed, while dealing, as Schulman has done for decades, with demanding producers, stars - some behaving badly - a...
