Dravidian parties grow in Tamil Nadu with the communalism as their party principle.
Dravidian parties grow in Tamil Nadu with the communalism as their party principle. In those days the Dravidian parties grow in Tamil Nadu with the communalism as their party principle. This was revealed by Kavignar Kannadasan in his book "Vana Vasam". He says the leaders want to utilize the people for their selfish motives, but they will definitely have no mind in solving people's problem. Kavignar says he realized this truth after closely moving with them. The Dravidian party leaders will talk one thing in the stage and after getting down they will follow their own principles. The party volunteers are innocently demonstrating with flags and they are only the victims for giving their life by the attack of police. Kannadasan sympathized with the party workers who gave their life believing their leaders are having good conduct. Kannadasan also say if the party workers stay with their leaders for four nights they will definitely leave the party and run away.- published: 29 Jan 2014

DMK's sons at war: M. Karunanidhi claimed Alagiri threatened Stalin - NewsX
MK Alagiri, DMK chief M. Karunanidhi's elder son who was suspended recently from the party for anti-party activities, said on Tuesday that all charges levelled against him by his father leading to his suspension are false. In a press conference in Madurai, the DMK's strongman from the southern districts said, "I'm shocked to hear the statement of the chief (Karunanidhi) statement. All charges against me are false." He said the DMK president should live long. "The party chief has said that I behaved in a way that hurt him. He could have told this after suspending me from the party, the party cadres know about me," said Alagiri. Stalin has his way, Alagiri expelled from DMK - NewsX
The crisis in the DMK in Tamil Nadu reached the boiling point on Friday when the party suspended former union minister MK Alagiri from all party posts and primary membership. The action came soon after Alagiri met his father and DMK chief M Karunanidhi on Friday morning. The move is aimed at solving the problems the party faced in Madurai, the stronghold of Alagiri. In a statement, party general secretary K Anbazhagan said that the continuation of Alagiri in the party had become untenable in view of his open criticism of the action initiated against five of his supporters who were involved in anti-party activities. Insiders feel the move was unexpected though the disciplinary action was not an isolated case but one of the few measures the party high command took in the last two months to rein in Alagiri. The suspension assumes significance as the DMK state conference in scheduled for next month in Tiruchirapalli and the party is gearing up for the general elections later this year. "The members should accept this decision taken in the interests of the party and should stand united," Anbazhagan said. Vijayakanth Coalition & PMK's coalition with BJP & Contradiction in policies like Eelam, River Sharing, etc., 2nd January 2014 The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), at its general council here on Thursday, presented itself as an alternative to the Dravidian parties, a position that the party has been holding for the last one and a half years, and wanted people of the State to make it victorious in the Lok Sabha elections. Addressing the council, the party founder S. Ramadoss referred to the formation of social democratic alliance in October and wanted his party members to strive hard for the success of at least 10 candidates of his party. Several speakers including Dr. Ramadoss, former Union Minister Anbumani Ramadoss and the PMK legislator J. Guru strongly criticised the State government for, what they called, foisting false cases against many of the party workers. They came down heavily on the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the media for not supporting the party. At the general council, G.K. Mani, president, named the party's nominees for three Lok Sabha constituencies: 'Ediroli' Manian for Tiruvannamalai; Vallar Govindasamy for Cuddalore and Gopi alias Gopalakrishnan for Chidambaram. Already, the party announced candidates for seven constituencies.- published: 02 Jan 2014

I will not Stop till completely eliminate DMK & ADMK from the soil of Tamilnadu - Dr. Ramadoss
I will not Stop till completely eliminate DMK & ADMK from the soil of Tamilnadu - Dr. Ramadoss Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) president S. Ramadoss categorically ruled out the possibility of giving up the constituencies for which his party has named candidates. "We have already started campaigning work for the elections. The constituencies have been identified and the names of the candidates have been announced. These constituencies are not negotiable. Why should we give it up?" he asked. The PMK and BJP are in talks for a seat sharing alliance in Tamil Nadu. The BJP front has Vaiko's MDMK, and hopes to rope in Vijayakant's Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK). Besides, he also warded off questions regarding whether they have finalised their alliance with BJP or they would be a part of the alliance that included DMDK for the Lok Sabha polls. Briefing reporters on Monday he said that they will not ally with any Dravidian parties at any point of time as they wanted to bring about a change in the Tamil Nadu politics. Describing the two Dravidian parties as 'evil forces' that had been continuously ruining the State for the past 47 years, he said he wanted to put an end to their dominance in the political arena of Tamil Nadu. While announcing the formation of the Social Democratic Alliance on October 21, 2013, Dr. Ramadoss announced names of candidates for Lok Sabha constituencies. They are former Union Ministers R. Velu from Arakkonam and A.K. Moorthy from Arani, Party president G.K. Mani from Krishnagiri, youth wing secretary R. Arul (Salem), Ediroli Manian (Tiruvannamalai), Vallar Govindasamy (Cuddalore) and Gopi alias Gopalakrishnan (Chidambaram), Vadivel Ravanan (Villupuram), Aghoram (Mayiladuthurai) and former MLA R.K.R.
