DMC LP900 "Molto Veloce": Styling for the Lamborghini Aventador
When it comes to Lamborghinis, DMC has been able to establish itself on the list of tuners that know how to tame the Bull from St.Agata. So it comes to no surprise that they are among the first to present a styling kit for the brand new Aventador.
On the visible side, DMC created a styling kit that stays in line with the original design: A unique expressive front fascia features a redesigned spoiler sword and a stunning front-splitter lip, all made of pure carbon fiber. The new side skirt diffusers aim to improve the overall road stability, and a new rear fascia consists of a lightened carbon fiber diffusor and an added tunnel system. Both items improve down force on the rear axle.
Performance wise, DMC has a sporty modification in petto: While traditional Lamborghini design features combined overhead throttle valves per cylinder bank, DMC has decided to use 12 unique single intake throttle plates, one per each cylinder. Gasoline pumps and - lines, as well as pressure modulators and injection nozzles will be replaced by own new components. Optimized engine electronics, an electronic load pressure control system and a completely new wiring will be added. The engine will be rebranded as LP900.
'The Molto Veloce aims at Aventador owners that seek to add a little more exclusivity to their LP700' says Thorsten Grebers, Marketing Manager at DMC Germany. 'The LP900 engine upgrade clearly targets speed enthusiasts.'
It is highly suggested to fly your LP700 to the company‘s workshop in Germany for the engine modification, but body components can be installed by one of DMC’s global dealers.

"The Royale is quick and lithe like a living being, it is reliable, rapid, powerful, silent: a magnificent dream that could only be realized after thirty years of trials and constant research." These words come from the pen of Ebé Bugatti himself, whose father, the remarkable Ettore, had produced one of the world's legendary automobiles, the type 41 - a true masterpiece from all perspectives.
Ettore Bugatti started active work on the Royale project in 1925, and his dream of building the largest, most powerful and fastest touring automobile began to take shape with the 41100 prototype. The huge chassis with its 181” wheelbase was an enlargement and evolution of the type 38 and 40 models, with the inclusion of additional cross-pieces to make the structure more solid. The pièce de résistance of the project is without a doubt the engine, an in-line 8 cylinder unit with a centrally positioned twin overhead camshaft controlling three valves per cylinder, and with a cylinder capacity of nearly 15 liters - an ensemble that produced a shattering 300 hp! Although already proven on the type 28 and on the extraordinary metallurgic masterpiece that was curved front axle of the type 35, substantial adaptations had to be made to the unusual dimensions of this new prototype.
In 1926, the enormous chassis, sitting on 39” alloy wheels, was tested for the first time and was soon enclosed in the Torpedo bodywork of the Packard, previously acquired by Ettore for observation of work from the other side of the Atlantic. Its adaptation was not free of problems; the difference in wheelbase between the two automobiles meant they had to change the fenders and redesign the hood. These modifications were illustrated in a sketch dated 29th January 1927.

Launched during the worst economic recession in history, the J represented a gamble in luxury and technical excess - a gamble that counted on the patronage of an illustrious clientèle: crowned heads of state, movie stars, maharadjas, kings of the underworld and other powerful millionaires.
Having designed overhead valve engines and the Mason racing car, Fred and August Duesenberg founded the Duesenberg Motors Company in 1913. The brothers worked mostly on competition engines, fitting them as much to boats as to automobiles, and by 1914 their racing cars were competing at the Indianapolis 500. This race was one of the Duesenberg brothers' overriding obsessions and, after spending the First World War building V16 engines for the army and the navy as well as the 12 cylinder Liberty engine for aviation, they would go on to accumulate numerous speed records.
In 1920, now based in Indianapolis, they founded Duesenberg Automobiles and Motors, followed by the Duesenberg Bothers racing division. That same year they won third place at the Indianapolis 500 and started work on a commercial automobile.
In 1921, the 8 cylinder 2 980cc GP with its overhead cam-shaft and hydraulic front brakes won the ACF organized French Grand Prix at Le Mans, with driver Murphy fending off the likes of De Palma and Goux in the Ballots. This was the first ever victory by an American automobile in a European Grand Prix.
