Arriving to the spring of the river Cetina and visiting the Church of the Holy salvation, built in the 9th century during the reign of Duke Branimir, where there are more than 1,100 Croatian graves with rich archaeological findings. This is the place where you can follow the sequence of life from prehistory to Liburnian age, Early and Late Antiquity, Early Croatian to Early and Late Middle Ages. The next thing on our schedule is to return in the present time and to visit the viewpoint on the island of Visovac. While visiting this popular “Croatian postcard” we will climb the mentioned viewpoint to enjoy the beautiful view at the National park of Krka. After long time spent in the nature, we suppose you might get hungry! After returning from the island we will try traditional cuisine in the hinterland. The lunch is planned at half past 2 and would be incomplete without a domestic wine, so we will taste some of the wines in the local wine cellar. Our main task is you to not just see, but also feel the true spirit of history and tradition in the same time! After relaxation we will hit the road again to reach our final destination – terra incognita or so called “bunja” in Srima near the town of Šibenik. This settlement is famous for its buildings of stone, with a circular floor plan and conical roof, built without bonding ingredient, popularly called “dry wall”. Bunjas were used for sheltering from the bad weather, but also for permanent residence. After a walk across those dry walls we will return to the hotel and greet a new friends with a goodbye with the hope of reunion at some of other daily tours with Croatian Travel Club.
