How We Spent the Typhoon, Sharing the Longan
Dimocarpus longan, commonly known as the longan is a tropical tree that produces edible fruit. It is one of the better known tropical members of the soapberry family to which the lychee also belongs. It is native to the Indomalaya ecozone defined by South Asia and Southeast Asia, and is fairly common in the Philippines, where they have a different name for it (everything has a different name in Tagalog, including of course the rude words). The longan (龍眼 lóng yǎn, lit. "dragon's eye"), is so named because it resembles an eyeball when its fruit is shelled (the black seed shows through the translucent flesh like a pupil or iris).- published: 22 Sep 2013

soundgarden rusty cage bird
Pigeons and doves constitute the bird clade Columbidae, that includes about 310 species. They are stout-bodied birds with short necks, and have short, slender bills with fleshy ceres. Doves feed on seeds, fruits, and plants. This family occurs worldwide, but the greatest variety is in the Indomalaya and Australasia ecozones. In general, the terms "dove" and "pigeon" are used somewhat interchangeably. Pigeon derives from the Latin pipio, for a "peeping" chick,[1] while dove is a Germanic word that refers to the bird's diving flight.[2] In ornithological practice, "dove" tends to be used for smaller species and "pigeon" for larger ones, but this is in no way consistently applied, and historically, the common names for these birds involve a great deal of variation between the terms. The species most commonly referred to as "pigeon" is the Feral Rock Pigeon, common in many cities. source:-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pigeon- published: 03 Mar 2014

EVIL BIRD ATTACKS BOY
EVIL BIRD ATTACKS BOY
Ok, Ive see a lot of signs that say, "Beware of Dog." But never have I seen one that says "Beware of Bird/" According to Joey Schmitts at the Balderdash Apartments in Louisville, KY, one of the residents trained a wild pigeon to guard the doorway to the upstairs apartments. I thought it was a joke at first, but when we tested it with my Nephew, we learned it was the truth. This bird was incredible aggressive and would not give up. Now, I understand this is not going to stop someone who is serious about gaining entry but I'm sure there was more than one solicitor who decided to turn back after tangling with big bertha. Doves and pigeons build relatively flimsy nests from sticks and other debris, which may be placed in trees, on ledges, or on the ground, depending on species. They lay one or two eggs, and both parents care for the young, which leave the nest after seven to 28 days.[3] Unlike most birds, both sexes of doves and pigeons produce "crop milk" to feed to their young, secreted by a sloughing of fluid-filled cells from the lining of the crop. Young doves and pigeons are called "squabs".- published: 10 Jan 2014

Cempaka wangi ~ Andy Tielman
The song title means fragrance of Magnolia champaca in Indonesian language. Magnolia champaca, commonly called yellow jade orchid tree, is a large evergreen tree, native to the Indomalaya ecozone (consisting of South Asia, Southeast Asia and some parts of China). It is best known for its strongly fragrant yellow or white flowers. It is, however, primarily cultivated for its timber, and is also used in urban landscaping. Its aril-covered seeds are highly attractive to birds. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnolia_champaca- published: 26 Oct 2013

List of ecoregions in India - Spoken Description
Spoken description about List of ecoregions in India. This is text to speech video for education the public. Below is the transcript for the recording: Because of its size and range of latitude, topography, and climate, India is home to a great diversity of ecoregions, ranging from permanent ice and snow to tropical rainforests. For Regions, see List of regions of India, for Climatic Regions see Climatic regions of India. The Himalaya, which runs across India's northern tier, is the boundary between two of the Earth's great ecozones — the Palearctic, which covers most of temperate-to-arctic Eurasia, and Indomalaya, which covers most of the Indian subcontinent and extends into Indochina, Sundaland and the Philippines.
