***READ DESCRIPTION*** Hello guys! This is an improvisation in the C Locrian #6 Mode, the second mode of the Harmonic Minor scale! I used the root note of the mode as a backing chord. The Locrian #6 Mode is a minor scale (as it has a minor third) and the differences from the natural minor are: its minor 2nd, its diminished 5th and its major 6th degrees. ...Or you can think of it as the Locrian mode with a #6, as the name applies. The notes of the mode are: C - Db - Eb - F - Gb - A - Bb - C Helpful chords: Cm7b5, Cdim7 One of the best ways to use this mode is for more intense musical passages. And remember!!! The bass is always a C note!!! The more you use the root note on the bass the more you have the desired mode sound, even if you use other chords in the other voices/instruments! Don't get confused from the positions I play on the guitar, I have it tuned one step down! Tuning doesn't matter, though... What does matter is to understand and remember the unique sound of the mode! The C Locrian mode is a minor scale (as it has a minor third) and the differences from the natural minor are its minor 2nd and diminished 5th degrees. This is a difficult mode to play and listen to for a long time. You don't actually need anything more than the root chord to have the Locrian feel... The notes of the mode are: C - Db - Eb - F - Gb - Ab - Bb - C Helpful chords: Cdim, Cm7(b5), Cm7(b5b9) A chord progression that is very Locrian-like is I-II and I-V. (In this case Cdim-Db and Cdim-Gb) And remember!!! The bass is always a C note!!! The more you use the root note on the bass the more you have the desired mode sound, even if you use other chords in the other voices/instruments! Βρίσκονται σε καθημερινή επαφή με την Εταιρεία Κοινωνικής Ψυχιατρικής και Ψυχικής Υγείας, ρυθμίζουν όμως μόνοι τους τα του οίκου τους και αναπτύσσουν τη δική τους προσωπική, κοινωνική, ή και επαγγελματική ζωή. Σε διαρκή διάδραση μεταξύ τους, με τους θεραπευτές, με τους άλλους ασθενείς, με την πόλη και τους πολίτες της Άμφισσας, με το χώμα, τις ελιές και τα πελώρια βουνά που τους περιβάλλουν, δια-δρούν και με τη δημιουργό της ταινίας: αυτή επιθυμεί να τους γνωρίσει και κατανοήσει σε βάθος, εκείνοι ανταποδίδουν, παίζοντας στην ταινία της. Μια ιστορία αγάπης. Yanni, Christo and Lucas, three distinctive personalities between 40 and 60, are roommates in a protected apartment in Amfissa, a city with a past reaching as far as the first Hellenes, the Locrians. Though in daily contact with the Society of Social Psychiatry and Mental Health, they regulate matters of their common home on their own and lead their proper personal, social, or professional lives. Constantly interacting among themselves, with the therapists, the other patients, the city and citizens of Amfissa, the soil, the olive trees and the huge mountains around, they further interact with the filmmaker herself: she wishes to get to know and understand them deeply, they play in her movie in return. A story about love.
