Omar Rafael Infante [in-FAHN-tay] (born December 26, 1981 in Puerto la Cruz, Anzoátegui, Venezuela) is a Major League Baseball second baseman who is currently on the Miami Marlins. He bats and throws right-handed.

In his career, Infante is a .275 hitter with 57 home runs and 324 RBI in 956 games.

Infante entered the 2003 season as the starting shortstop for the Detroit Tigers. Ramón Santiago, considered a better glove-man started the season at second base. Considered 2 of the Tigers better prospects, both proved overmatched; Infante hit only .222 with 0 home runs and 8 RBI in over 200 at-bats. Midway through the season, Tigers manager Alan Trammell sent Infante to the minor leagues for failiing to hustle on a consistent basis. Santiago switched to shortstop after Infante was sent down.

In 2004, Infante lost any chance to claim the starting shortstop role when the Tigers acquired Carlos Guillén, who went on to be an All-Star that year (Ramón Santiago had been included in the trade for Guillén) . With Guillén at shortstop and free agent acquisition Fernando Viña at second base, Infante was likely to spend much of the season in the minors. Then he received an opportunity in mid-May to play every day at second base when Viña was sidelined for the year by a hamstring injury. He responded by playing solid defense and hitting .264 with 16 home runs and 55 RBI in 142 games.

Colby Ryan Rasmus (born August 11, 1986 in Columbus, Georgia) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball.

Rasmus played as pitcher and first baseman for Phenix City National Little League during the 1999 Little League World Series. Phenix City won the United States championship game before losing in the finals to Osaka, Japan 5-0. Rasmus finished the World Series with a batting average of .417 and a pitching record of 0-1 with 7 strikeouts.

Rasmus attended Russell County High School in Seale, Alabama. As a senior, he batted .484 with 24 home runs with 66 RBI and 69 runs scored in 39 games. His 24 home runs passed Bo Jackson for second all-time in the state for home runs in a season by a high school player. In a pre-draft workout, Rasmus was clocked at 95 mph (153 km/h) throwing from center field. He also ran 60 yards in 6.7 seconds. Rasmus helped lead Russell County to a national championship in 2005 as they finished the season ranked first in both the National High School Baseball Coaches Association poll and the USA TODAY Super 25 baseball rankings. Rasmus graduated from Russell County High School in 2005. He is the brother of Batavia Muckdogs center fielder Casey Rasmus.

Donald Joseph Kelly (born July 2, 1922) is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Torquay United.

Don Kelly, a centre-forward born in Market Harborough, began his career as an amateur with Coventry City, but joined Torquay United for the resumption of league football in 1946. He scored twice on his debut, a 2-2 draw away to Reading on September 11, 1946, but made only three further appearances that season. Kelly had remained an amateur when joining Torquay, but turned professional in July 1947. However, due to the form of Jack Conley, he was to play just once the following season, scoring in the 2-0 win away to local rivals Exeter City on January 17, 1948.

He left Torquay and league football at the end of the season, joining Symington's. From there he moved to Stafford Rangers where he was top scorer in the 1949-50, 1950–51 and 1951-52 seasons. He later returned to play for Symington's and subsequently moved to Rugby Town where he ended his career.

Oswaldo José "Ozzie" Guillén Barrios (Spanish pronunciation: [ɡiˈʎen]; born January 20, 1964) is a Venezuelan-American former Major League Baseball player and current manager of the Miami Marlins. He managed the Chicago White Sox from 2004 to 2011 until him and GM Kenny Williams didn't see eye to eye and having the White Sox release their World Series winning coach Born in Ocumare Del Tuy, Venezuela, he played in Major League Baseball as a shortstop for the White Sox (1985–97), Baltimore Orioles (1998), Atlanta Braves (1998–1999) and Tampa Bay Devil Rays (2000). He batted left-handed and threw right-handed. As a player, Guillén was regarded for his passion, speed, hustle, intensity and defensive abilities and his ebullient love for the game. In 2005, Guillen became the first Latino manager in major league history to win a World Series.

Guillén was a light-hitting, quick-handed shortstop, emerging from a line of Venezuelan shortstops that included; Chico Carrasquel, Luis Aparicio (both White Sox players), Dave Concepción, and Omar Vizquel (who played for Guillen as a utility player for the White Sox). He was originally signed as a free agent by the San Diego Padres in 1980. In December 1984, he was traded to the Chicago White Sox as part of an eight-player trade, with Tim Lollar, Bill Long and Luis Salazar in exchange for LaMarr Hoyt.

Aníbal Alejandro Sánchez, Jr. [a-NEE-bal] (born February 27, 1984 in Maracay, Venezuela) is a Major League Baseball right-handed starting pitcher with the Miami Marlins. He is listed as 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. On September 6, 2006, in just his 13th career Major League start, Sánchez pitched a no-hitter against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Sanchez throws five pitches, giving him a variety of weapons to use against right-handed and left-handed hitters. His primary pitch is a four-seam fastball that he throws in the 92-94 MPH range. He also throws a sinker with similar velocity. He features a sharp slider in the mid-80s that he uses frequently against right-handed batters and in counts with two strikes. His changeup, with strong tailing action, is more commonly used against lefties. Sanchez's last pitch is a curveball in the mid-70s. He does not throw it very frequently, but typically he uses it when he is ahead in the count.

He was signed by the Boston Red Sox as an international free agent in 2001. After playing in the Venezuelan Summer League for two seasons, Aníbal suffered an elbow injury that required surgery to move his elbow ligament, causing him to miss the entire 2003 season.
