We walk but a few steps before a young boy stops Geralt and gives him a letter from Triss Merigold. She says to investigate one Professor Moreau and thus begins the quest Turn and Face the Strange. We are on the way to visit the professor's grave as the first step of Turn and Face the Strange when Jacquette, a woman in need, stops Geralt to speak with him. She says that her betrothed, Francois le Goff, has gone off to fight the monster Grottore in the Gorgon Hills. This quest comes up as Feet as Cold as Ice and is a bit too high leveled for Geralt at the moment so we table that one until a later date. We locate Professor Moreau's grave but it seems someone got there before we did. Geralt investigates the clues on the grave robber but finds nothing of use. He uses the map Triss included in her letter to piece together where the entrance might be. It turns out that the entrance to the professor's laboratory is a magical portal in a lake. Geralt swims through the portal and we are transported to an underground cavern filled with deadly traps. Guarding the path ahead are what Nick can only call laser cats. Geralt battles the cats and finds the body of what we can only assume is the grave robber that pillaged Professor Moreau's grave. We find a diary on the body and warns us how to solve the puzzle in an upcoming room. The puzzle room contains a zip line, which Nick is certain is the way to progress. After a few deaths we discover the puzzle that Nick would have known about had we actually read the diary. It isn't long before we find another room that has a problem to solve. Several gargoyles stare at a single statue in the center of the room, killing it reveals a key to open up a series of magical portals. Rushing through the portal that the statue faces in three separate levels will finally lead to Professor Moreau's laboratory. Following the Turn and Face the Strange questline has culminated in a way to further augment Geralt's mutations. Professor Moreau's own son, Jerome, was taken by witchers and the professor vowed to bring him back to normal. Professor Moreau was not successful but Geralt looks to benefit from this. There is a little left to do still before the Turn and Face the Strange quest is complete but it will have to wait until the next episode.
