At long last, with the full retail version of Megabyte Punch out, we can see what is beyond the Binary Fortress. What awaits us is not another level, but the main villain himself, the Valk Emperor. For this battle, I decided to swap out the Megabyte Punch and Teleport abilities (which I used in Tournament Mode) for the Giganto Missile and Summon Soldier abilities. While less potent than Megabyte Punch, and while it can backfire on you if you're not careful, the Giganto Missile will prove useful on the 2nd phase of the battle. As for replacing Teleport with Summon Soldier, I find the ability to summon a Soldier Megac to assist me in battle to be more useful here than the surprise factor granted by the Teleport ability. The 1st round goes much like the other boss rounds, in which you have to knock the Valk Emperor off of the stage. As far as special moves go, the Emperor has Viral Slice and Launch, as well as Teleport, which his AI (and a few other AIs in tournament mode) know how to use well in an offensive role. His most unique move is Clone, in which he'll create a duplicate of himself. This duplicate has all of the Emperor's moves and stats, but has a less advanced AI that doesn't shield, lasts only 10 seconds (compared to Summon Soldier, which lasts 30 seconds), and inherits all of the damage dealt to the user (whereas the Soldier Megac is created at full health). After defeating the Valk Emperor once, he transforms into a larger, hulking, draconic form for his 2nd phase (and you're given enough bits to grant you 2 more lives). In this form, his attacks are far more powerful, but also far more predictable. I won't go into detail about his attacks (since they're rather easy to avoid), but I will say that in order to defeat the Valk Emperor once and for all, you'll need to 1st strip off his armor (the Giganto Missile does this quickly, and from a safe distance), then once one of his "bones" starts to flash red, you'll need to quickly do enough damage to it before it stops flashing. Do this enough times, and the Emperor will create a blue suit of armor that you'll need to strip off as well. Rinse and repeat once again. Congratulations! You've defeated the Valk Emperor, retrieved the Heartcore for Ventu Village, and restored peace to the world! Note: I already have all 30 colors in this game, so there's no need to tell me if I missed any.
