In Carnatic music pallavi is the thematic line of a song. It is usually one cycle long and repeated twice in order to give the percussionist the idea of the chosen taalam. Sometimes it is repeated a few more times using different phrases of the Rāgam to which the song is set.

In Carnatic music, pallavi also forms a part of a special type of rendition called Rāgam Thānam Pallavi. Rāgam in this context is the initial ālāpana of chosen rāgam (elaboration and exploration of its scale). Thānam is elaboration of the rāgam using percussion syllables. Pallavi, a single line of one tālam cycle duration, is chosen for further elaboration of the rāgam in different speeds, octaves, rāgam phrases, etc.

The Pallavi is mainly presented as the piece-de-resistance of the concert. In the Mysore-Bani style of concert presentation usually the Raga-Tana-Pallavi is presented in the same raaga as of the Varnam with which the concert is started..... In Hindi-...Pallavi means newly erupted small leaf/sapling during spring.

Parambrata Chatterjee (pôrombroto chôttopaddhae) is a Bengali Indian male actor and director of television and films, who came to limelight after starring in the film Kahaani; starring along with Vidya Balan. His performance was greatly appreciated in the film.

His directorial debut feature film is Jiyo Kaka starred by Rituparna Sengupta and Rudranil Ghosh.

Ayushmann Khurrana is an Indian Television anchor and Actor. He has been a well-known TV presenter on Indian Television and has recently entered Indian Film Industry with the popular film Vicky Donor.

Ayushmann Khurrana is a native of Chandigarh. He studied at St. John’s High School and DAV College in Chandigarh. He majored in English Literature and has done Masters in Mass Communication from School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. He has been active in theatre for 5 years. He was the founder member of DAV College ’s Aaghaaz and Manchtantra , which are active theatre groups in Chandigarh. He has conceptualized and enacted in street plays and won prizes in national fests like- Mood Indigo (IIT Mumbai),Oasis(BITS Pilani) and St. Bedes Simla. He also won a Best Actor award for playing Ashwatthama in Dharamvir Bharati’s Andha Yug.

Ayushmann Khurrana started his career when he turned out to be the winner in MTV Roadies Season 2. After finishing studies, his first job was a Radio Jockey at BIG FM, Delhi. He hosted the show Big Chai - Maan Na Maan, Main Tera Ayushmann and also won the Young Achievers Award in 2007 for it. After radio, Ayushmann moved on to become a Video Jockey on MTV with Pepsi MTV Wassup, The Voice of Youngistaan, an informative show for the youth.

Pallavi Sharda is an Indian-Australian film/theatre actress and dancer, trained in the classical Indian dance form of Bharatha Natyam. Born in Perth and brought up in Melbourne she is currently based out of Mumbai. Her Bollywood debut came in the comedic-drama film, Dus Tola, in which she played the role of Geeta 'the village dance teacher' opposite actor Manoj Bajpayee. Dus Tola hit Indian theatres on 22 October 2010 and Pallavi's performance harnessed critical acclaim. Pallavi's second release, an Indo-American film called Walkaway was released on 29 October 2010 across the USA.

In March 2010 Pallavi was crowned 'Miss India Australia' in Sydney.

Pallavi's latest Bollywood venture, Love Breakups Zindagi released on 7 October 2011. Pallavi is the lead actress in the theatrical musical, 'Taj Express' directed by Shruti Merchant and choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. Pallavi is about to make her Australian film debut with comedy film Save Your Legs.

Manju Bhargavi (born 1950) is an actress and dancer, best known for her performance in the Telugu blockbuster film Shankarabharanam (1979).

Manju Bhargavi parents originally hail from Andhra Pradesh but settled in Madras. She was originally named Manjula, but later changed it to Manju Bhargavi.

She was trained as a classical dancer and performed at many dance shows. At one of these shows, filmmaker Prakash Rao saw her and cast her in a dance sequence for the Telugu film Gaalipataalu (1974). It led to dance numbers in hit films Krishnaveni (1974), Soggadu (1975) and Yamagola (1977). She was also seen as a vamp in Nayakudu-Vinayakudu opposite ANR. She was then cast in the film President Peramma where she performed a dance number, and then the film's director K. Vishwanath asked her to submit some photographs where she wasn't wearing any make-up. She complied and he liked the results and cast her in the lead role as an unglamorous dancer in his next film Shankarabharanam (1979), a film that broke box office records and became a landmark in Telugu cinema. Although, she was very satisfied with the film as it gave her fame and respect, she didn't act in many films after that, choosing to concentrate on her dance shows. Her husband is the son of a retired Chief Secretary. His family is also originally from Andhra Pradesh but later settled in Bangalore, which is where she currently lives. She had twin sons with her husband, but one of her sons died of cancer in 2007. She runs a dance school in Bangalore, and because of that and her dance shows, she doesn't have much time to act in films, taking an occasional role when it fits into her busy schedule. In 2008, she made her Kannada film debut in Hodi Maga playing Shivaraj Kumar's mother.
