Teams searching for missing flight MH370 believe they may have detected the plane\'s black box flight recorders after a ship picked up signals in the southern Indian Ocean.

The Australian defence vessel Ocean Shield picked up signals twice, around 370 miles north of where two signals were detected by a Chinese ship on Saturday.

Crucially, there were two distinct pinger returns - suggesting transmissions from a flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder on a Boeing 777 jet.

Pro-Russian protesters have stormed government buildings in the eastern Ukrainian cities of Donetsk and Luhansk.

Acting President Oleksandr Turchynov has cancelled a visit to Lithuania over the unrest, and called an emergency meeting of security chiefs.

Similar protests have been taking place in eastern Ukraine since pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych was ousted.

The latest unrest comes amid tensions over Moscow\'s annexation of Crimea.

In Donetsk, about 50 people are reported to have broken away from a rally of about 2,000 people in the city centre, and got past a police cordon to enter the regional administration building.

The activists shouted \

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived in New Zealand with Prince George for the start of their trip Down Under.
It is the first royal tour for the baby prince who is just eight months old.
The airport at Wellington was shrouded in mist and drizzly rain as William and Kate descended the steps of the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) plane.
At times, gusts of wind threatened to lift up Kate\'s coat.
The royal guests were greeted by John Key, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the Mayor of Wellington Celia Wade-Brown and other dignitaries.
The Duchess of Cambridge was wearing a scarlet coat by designer Catherine Walker, and a matching hat by Gina Foster hat.
In honour of her hosts she also wore a silver fern brooch, a symbol of New Zealand, which she had borrowed from the Queen.
It had been a present to the monarch from the women of Auckland during her 1953-54 Commonwealth tour.
William wore a suit, and George, carried by his mother, had on a cream cardigan, white shorts and matching shoes.
They then left the airport for an official ceremony at Government House, where they received a traditional Maori welcome.
Mr Key tweeted: \

http://www.democracynow.org - Rwanda is holding commemorations for the 20th anniversary of the genocide in which 800,000 people were killed. On April 6, 1994, Rwanda\'s extremist Hutu government and military began a campaign to exterminate the minority Tutsis. Men, women and children were massacred in an orchestrated pre-planned campaign of genocide not seen since the Nazi Holocaust. The world claimed it was unaware of the magnitude of the slaughter, and United Nations peacekeeping force stationed in the country stood by helplessly and watched the massacre unfold. Today, Rwandan President Paul Kagame will light a flame that will burn for 100 days, the length of time it took government soldiers and Hutu militia to carry out the killings. France has pulled out of the events following accusations by Kagame that it participated in the mass killings. We are joined by two guests: Jina Moore, international women\'s rights correspondent for Buzzfeed, reporting from Rwanda; Jean-Marie Kamatali, a former dean of the National University of Rwanda School of Law.

Teams searching for missing flight MH370 believe they may have detected the plane's black box flight recorders after a ship picked up signals in the southern Indian Ocean. The Australian defence vessel Ocean Shield picked up signals twice, around 370 miles north of where two signals were detected by a Chinese ship on Saturday. Crucially, there were two distinct pinger returns - suggesting transmissions from a flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder on a Boeing 777 jet. http://news.sky.com/story/1238154/missing-plane-mh370-team-detect-two-signals SUBSCRIBE to our YouTube channel for more great videos: http://www.youtube.com/skynews Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/skynews and https://twitter.com/skynewsbreak Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/skynews For more great content go to http://news.sky.com and download our apps: iPad https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/Sky-News-for-iPad/id422583124 iPhone https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/sky-news/id316391924?mt=8 Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bskyb.skynews.android&hl;=en_GB

The latest unrest comes amid tensions over Moscow's annexation of Crimea. In Donetsk, about 50 people are reported to have broken away from a rally of about 2,000 people in the city centre, and got past a police cordon to enter the regional administration building. The activists shouted "Donetsk is a Russian city" and raised Russian flags above the building. Some called for the region to have a referendum on the region's independence from Ukraine. A similar referendum held in the Crimean peninsula in March led to Russia's annexation. 'Pelted with eggs' Russian President Vladimir Putin has vowed to protect Russian-speaking people in eastern Ukraine. Pro-Russia protests also took place in other eastern cities on Sunday. Dozens of demonstrators stormed the offices of the Ukrainian state security agency in Luhansk. Ukrainian media said protesters pelted the building with eggs, a smoke grenade and a firebomb. The country's interim President, Oleksandr Turchynov, has cancelled a diplomatic trip to Lithuania to deal with the unrest, according to his press service. The statement said Mr Turchynov would hold an emergency meeting with the heads of security services. Tensions are running high between Ukraine and Russia, with thousands of Russian soldiers still said to be deployed along the border. However, earlier this week the German government said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered a "partial withdrawal" of troops from the border. Mr Yanukovych was forced from office in February, following months of street protests. The new administration has faced continuing opposition from Ukraine's Russian-speaking regions, particularly in the east of the country. Russia has said it will defend the rights of ethnic Russians in Ukraine - which it claims are under threat under the new government - but has said it will not send troops into the rest of the country.

At times, gusts of wind threatened to lift up Kate's coat. Mr Key tweeted: "The Royals have landed in Wellington. Let's make them very welcome, New Zealand." According to the New Zealand High Commissioner to London, Sir Lockwood Smith, the visit is right at the top of Kate's 'bucket list'. "I met the Duchess of Cambridge at a garden party at Buckingham Palace when she was pregnant with Prince George," he said. "I said to her that I'd love her to come to New Zealand and she said: 'Well, there's a little matter I have to deal with first of course but I have to say coming to New Zealand is top of my bucket list.' And now she's finally making the trip." The royal party had travelled on a scheduled Qantas flight from Heathrow airport, via Dubai, to Sydney where they transferred to the military aircraft. As they changed planes, William was spotted holding a small kangaroo back pack, which may have been given to Prince George as a gift. Available for £7 on the website of the Australian Koala Foundation, a conservation group, it had soon sold out. During the 19-day tour of New Zealand and Australia, Prince George will be looked after by his Spanish nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, when his parents are carrying out official engagements. Ms Turrion Borrallo was trained at the prestigious Norland College and joined William and Kate's royal household last month. http://www.democracynow.org - Rwanda is holding commemorations for the 20th anniversary of the genocide in which 800,000 people were killed. On April 6, 1994, Rwanda's extremist Hutu government and military began a campaign to exterminate the minority Tutsis. We are joined by two guests: Jina Moore, international women's rights correspondent for Buzzfeed, reporting from Rwanda; Jean-Marie Kamatali, a former dean of the National University of Rwanda School of Law.
