Naming your application or product

We understand that you want your application or product that enhances the Dribbble experience to be identifiable as part of the Dribbblesphere. This is important to us too, but Dribbble is also the name of our service and company, so we’re cautious about potential confusion.

Do…

  • Name your website, product, or application with something unique.
  • Feel free to include language on your site explaining that your application is built on the Dribbble platform so people understand your product.

Don’t…

  • Use Dribbble in the name of your website or application. Riffs are OK (e.g. dunkkker, drafffted, nibbble, etc.)
  • Register a domain containing ‘dribbble’.
  • Apply for a trademark with a name including ‘Dribbble’.

Visual Design of Your Website or Application

Do…

Design your site with unique branding and logos.

Don’t…

Copy our look and feel directly, as this could create user confusion. For example, if a basketball is being used as your app icon please make it distinctive from our basketball mark.
