Robert Aske Martyred By King Henry The VIII
In 1535 Henry VIII began to close the monasteries in England. Most people living in the north of England were still strong supporters of the Catholic faith. Many of them complained about the way monks were being treated. In Yorkshire, in 1536, Aske formed an army to defend the monasteries. The rebel army was joined by priests carrying crosses and banners. Leading nobles in the area also began to give their support to the rebellion. The rebels marched to York and demanded that the monasteries should be reopened. This march, which contained over 30000 people, became known as the Pilgrimage of Grace. Henry VIII's army was not strong enough to fight the rebels. Thomas Howard, Duke of Norfolk, negotiated a peace with Aske. Howard was forced to promise that he would pardon the rebels and hold a parliament in York to discuss their demands. The rebels were convinced that this parliament would reopen the monasteries and therefore went back to their homes. However, as soon as the rebel army had dispersed. Henry ordered the arrest of the leaders of the Pilgrimage of Grace. About 200 people were executed for their part in the rebellion. These included Robert Aske and Lady Bulmer who were burnt at the stake. Abbots of the four largest monasteries in the north were also executed.

The Tudors [Diary of Jane 2]
Hello All, I know I already used the acoustic version of this song for a video from Anne Boleyn's perspective but I felt it only fitting, given the lyrics, to make one from Jane Seymour's. It didn't hurt that I found Annabelle Wallis a much more appealing and likeable Jane than Anita Briem. I also used the original version instead of the acoustic, because I felt like it fit the darker mood of this season. Queen Jane Seymour struggles to quietly promote the advancement of the King's daughters , the princesses Mary and Elizabeth, bear the king an heir and obtain mercy for the participants in the Pilgrimage of Grace. Clips: Season 3 of The Tudors Song: "Diary of Jane" original cover, by Breaking Benjamin No copyright infringement intended. I neither own nor profit off of anything.

A Fall from Grace//Charles Brandon [Tudors]
"A Fall from Grace" ============================================ This is a FICTIONAL trailer for a NON-EXISTENT movie that I MADE UP. It is loosely based on the "Pilgrimage of Grace" storyline from the first couple of episodes of The Tudors: Season 3. Also, because I was bored, I made a "movie poster:" i251.photobucket.com Music: "Trial of the Archangel" and "Serenata Immortale" by Immediate A/N: Okay, now that that is out of the way... I finally got around to watching the Tudors S3 recently and was immediately inspired by Charles' story. I had been putting off watching S3 because I was still mourning the loss of Anne (who was my favorite character), and found little to look forward to with the new season, but there was Charles Brandon, who immediately won me over with his heartbreaking tale. I wanted to do a short character piece, but it quickly turned into a trailer. It's been almost a year since I did my last "faux trailer;" so I figured it was time to give it another go. I had a hell of a time with the sound editing. I really, really hope it doesn't sound horrible...Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. The Tudors:Queen Jane Seymour Part 2/5
All rights belong to showtime While Jane was unable to restore Mary to the line of succession, she was able to reconcile her with Henry. Eustace Chapuys wrote to Charles V of Jane's compassion and efforts on behalf of Mary's return to favour. A letter from Mary to Jane shows that Mary was grateful to Jane. She was given a household befitting her position as his daughter and included in court festivities; there were even rumors of a possible marriage in her future. Mary, in turn, respected and liked the new queen. Their friendship was not so unlikely. They were relatively close in age and Mary, having lost her mother and longing for her father's affection, was grateful for any kindness. Furthermore, she had the satisfaction of knowing Elizabeth, too, was bastardized; Anne Boleyn's execution on charges of incest and treason had illegitimized her daughter.Politically, Seymour appears to have been conservative. Her only reported involvement in national affairs, in 1536, was when she asked for pardons for participants in the Pilgrimage of Grace. Henry is said to have rejected this, reminding her of the fate her predecessor met with when she "meddled in his affairs".

Tudors/Merlin Crossover - Pieces [Charles/Morgana]
Ahaha, yay! It's finally finished!! I got the gumption to start on this LAST NIGHT and now it's finally finished. Yay to 200+ subs! The story: The video is mainly from Brandon's POV and how he thinks of Morgana during the Pilgrimage of Grace. After his marriage with Catherine fails, Brandon goes off to fight in a war, and instead of meeting Brigitte [like on the show] he's reunited with Morgana! Morgana doesn't recognize him at first, hence the scared expression on her face. But then they come to know each other again and Morgana tells Charles she ran away from Camelot and become a resistance fighter, or whatever you'd like. Basically, Morgana became a rebel. :D Anyway, the two bond again. Brandon eventually lets Morgana go, as she's no threat to them. But, Morgana realizes she can't and doesn't want to leave Brandon again, so she returns to the camp and her and Brandon make love. Later, Brandon asks Morgana to come back home with him. Which she does. After that it's basically the two being happy again. Just ignore the, uh, the age thing, Brandon young, Brandon old, then Brandon young again and Morgana never aging :PI did NOT include Brandon's death. That'd just be cruel to Morgana :P Anyway, towards the end I ran out of clips, so I just threw some in at random :P Voiceovers: Katherine of Aragon: When you are happy you forget about God. Brandon: You are worth everything Morgana: I'm scared Brandon: Come back with me Brandon: I'm so happy ^I think that's all of them^ Song ...

How to Invite people to Grace Compass Church?
Grace Compass Church
7 Steps to More Spiritual Conversations
Here is what I do to engage people in a spiritual conversation:
1. Make it a priority. Be intentional
2. Pray for the opportunities.
3. Get out into the community.
4. Cultivate relationships.
5. Learn to ask good questions.
6. Look for God’s work in people.
7. Guard your heart.
Effective Evangelism Training
Power of the Holy Spirit emphasizes learning God’s vision for evangelism, and developing a passion for personal evangelism. This evangelism conference also seeks to develop practical evangelism skills in cooperating with the Holy Spirit.
The course uses a lot of the principles we teach about cooperating with the Holy Spirit and conversational evangelism, based on Phillip and Ethiopian Eunuch.
Phillip And The Ethiopian Eunuch
By EvangelismCoach • April 24, 2007
Acts Conversions
Let’s look at an “easy conversion,” that of the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts Chapter 8.
This conversion was as simple as picking a ripe mango ready to fall from a tree.
It’s not so much about the Eunuch as it is about Phillip being God’s tool to help the man come to faith.
The fruit is ready
The Fruit is Ready
These are the kinds of evangelistic conversations I love because a person has been prepared by the Lord to this point, and I get to be the one God uses to bring that person into the kingdom.
It reminds me that God is the Evangelist, that the Holy Spirit goes before us to prepare the way, and that when we are obedient to His promptings, the Lord can use us.
The passage: Acts 8:26-40.
Phillip had been directed by the Lord to go on a scavenger hunt. “Go to the south road, the desert road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.”
Phillip was then prompted to go and stand near a chariot that was on the road.
Phillip hears a man reading a particular passage from the book of Isaiah.
Phillip asks if he understands.
The man’s response: “How can I unless someone explains it to me? Please tell me who the prophet is talking about.”
Phillip began there and told him the good news about Jesus. The eunuch believed, he took baptism, and went on his way rejoicing, never to see Phillip again.
Reflections:
A seeker:
We know from the text what Phillip didn’t know at first. This man had been coming from Jerusalem, where he had been to worship God. Phillip didn’t know him, but found a man reading out loud from the Old Testament.
This man shows all the signs of one who is spiritualy thirsty.
• He had reworked his schedule to go to Jerusalem on his own.
• He was reading from the Scripture.
• He wanted somebody to explain what he was reading.
• He was willing to search for the truth.
• He was willing to understand.
This man was hungry for the things of God. He was spiritually thirsty. Prepared by God.
All he needed was a person to help explain.
An evangelist.
The Lord used an obedient Phillip to help this man into the kingdom.
Both sides always balance
God worked both sides of the equation, so to speak, putting Phillip and the spiritualy thirsty eunuch in the same place at the same time. This positioning is the Role of the Holy Spirit in Evangelism.
All Phillip had to do in this encounter with a stranger was to obey the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
In other words, Phillip got to work with God.
Phillip didn’t
• need to pry open a hard heart like a can of beans.
• have to waste hours of conversation about the existence of God.
• need to get the Eunuch to the starting point of a Gospel Script
All the talk in the world could not replace the work of God that prepared the eunuch ahead of time.
Luke on summarizes the conversation as “the good news about Jesus”. This was not a Scripted Evangelism Conversation.
So what?
For one brief afternoon, the stories of these two strangers intersected. Phillip was doing his ordinary routine when the Lord prompted him to go to specific place. The eunuch was simply going home after a pilgrimage.
But at one moment, their paths crossed and one man’s destiny was changed.
It is my desire that you spend time asking “God where are you at work?” It’s much easier to cooperate with God’s activity, rather than wasting hours of argument prying open a locked heart.
The key is that Phillip noticed “THAT” Chariot. God underlined the chariot and Phillip positioned himself.
We know that God’s Spirit is at work in us as believers, training us, teaching us, and transforming us.
But, I also want to point out how the Holy Spirit prepares the way for evangelism to occur naturally.
Consider Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. Clearly the Spirit of God was at work in the life of the Eunuch.
• He had gone to Jerusalem to worship.
• He was reading Scripture.
• He wanted someone to explain Scripture to him.
The eunuch had a spiritual thirst, created by the Holy Spirit, and he was busy searching to slake that thirst. He was like the merchant looking for the fine pearl.

Toronto Pilgrimage '09
This is a recap video of an amazing trip taken by a group from Access, an 18-25 year old ministry, from Grace Community Church in Noblesville, Indiana. It was a great time of growth, changes in perspective, and drawing closer to the heart of God as a Christ following community. Background music start with The General Specific by Band of Horses, then Hard Sun by Eddie Vedder, followed by White Winter Hymnal by Fleet Foxes, then Just Dance by Lady Gaga, and finished up with Stop and Stare by One Republic.

First Third of Pilgrimage for Hope - 118 of 350 miles
We have finished the first third of our journey: Miles 1-118. After spending the first ten miles backpacking with students from East High in the San Rafael Swell, we began the journey in earnest--100 miles through Desolation and Grays Canyons.
To get to the back country, we enlisted the help of friends--new and old. We drove our car to Green River, Utah and hitchiked back to Price. Our new friend Billy, on his way to a funeral in Washington, gave us a ride to Price. From there, our old friends, Kevin and Claire Uno drove us into the backcountry and walked with us for eight miles. We waved goodbye to them under a gray sky heavy with clouds and began walking down the canyon.
When we began this journey, I planned on covering ten miles a day because it was easier to do the math than any other number of miles. Six miles into our first day, when our last road for the next eighty miles disappeared, I realized my mistake.
We covered only eight miles that day, and for the next several days. The picture that we took at the end of every mile felt like a triumph. We pushed through thick stands of tamarisk, followed game trails through greasewood and sage, balanced on boulders, trusted the strength of sand as we traversed rockslides, and swam around cliffs.
The geography of the canyon demanded perspective. I spent my days repeating, "one step at a time." In her book, Wanderlust: A History of Walking, Rebecca Solnit describes a pilgrimage as a physical manifestation of the soul's desire. "Pilgrimage unites belief with action, thinking with doing . . . . Pilgrimages make it possible to move physically, through the exertions of one's body, step by step, toward those intangible spiritual goals that are otherwise so hard to grasp." She continues that, while we do not always know how to achieve spiritual goals, like forgiveness or redemption, we do know how to put one foot in front of the other "however arduous the task."
Reading these words before we set out on our journey, I began calling our walk a "pilgrimage for hope." In the face of bleak headlines about climate change, I found hope difficult to grasp, and I thought that this journey might lead me to a wellspring of it. A third of the way through the journey, I still do not know if I will find hope. But its absence is less painful. Now, different words in Solnit's description catch my eye. To "unite belief with action, thinking with doing." Perhaps pilgrimages are merely training grounds. The real journey begins when we return home primed to act rather than wring our hands. Too, pilgrimages offer perspective on the meaning of "action." Every step, no matter how small (and I took some very small steps during the past 118 miles) is an action.
Every journey begins with a step. Steps strung together become a walk. Walkers together become a march. Marches can make a difference.
Here is a video with the "postcards" (pictures taken at the end of every mile).
Our First Ten Miles on 10-10-10---We're In This Together 10/12/2010

We kicked off our 350 mile walk accompanied by eleven students from East High. Just like the 350 movement, we were an international group, with eight different nationalities (listed in the post below) represented in our group of fourteen. My favorite quote from the weekend came from Thappasarn (or T for short). When I thanked him for accompanying me to get water for the group, he responded, "My mom told me that I should always help people whenever you can. You never know when they will help you back." The selflessness with which he said his life philosophy resonated with the phrase that Ryan and I keep repeating to ourselves as we organized our journey.
"350. We're in this together."

A Post From Ryan
We can sit around and “talk story” all day long, focusing on the values of diversity, environmental justice, equity, communication and create as many simulations as we want but you all know that nothing beats walking the walk. The highlight of my last two months was watching teenagers navigate through a grocery store in dialogue about who wants meat vs. veggies; who can eat pork or not; and who likes sweet vs. healthy. This is where I remembered what a mentor of mine told me while holding me back as I ran to help, coach and dictate the way a group of students at the Wilderness Treatment Center should cross a river. My compulsive thinking urged me to explain to them how to work together, what was safe, and how to communicate – the counselor Pat said “Trust the experience”. It’s been ten years since then and I’m finally starting to get it – The last words in the song on this Thank You Story Video say “It’s alright Mama, Let your children be loud; It’s alright Mama, Let them run into trouble”

The Tudors - I don't care - Victims of Henry VIII
Hello My Dear Friends and Subscribers! This is my newest video. It is different from all the videos I made, because for the first time I have portrayed many characters, not only one or two. When I heard this song I totally matched it with 'The Tudors' and I thought that it would be really awesome to portray all the vicitms of Henry VIII and how did he felt about them. I will explain a little what I meant. The video is about Henry's victims: Duke of Buckingham, Thomas More, Bishop Fisher, Thomas Wolsey,Katherine of Aragon (yes, she is on this video because I think she was really a victim - Henry sent her away from court where she died alone and broken), Anne Boleyn, George Boleyn, Mark Smeaton, William Brereton, Henry Norris, Robert Aske, John Constable, Lord Darcy, The Pilgrims, Thomas Cromwell, Reginald Pole's family. In the first part I showed how did every single one of victims lived their life and how Henry wanted to destroy them. One side of Henry - cold and dark - wanted to get rid of them, but another side - wanted to spare them . but never did. Henry make decisions for the moment, as he felt is right for certain situation, for example: he wanted to punish More for his righteousness and show him he is higher than God, he exiled Katherine because he wanted to marry Anne Boleyn, and he had executed Anne because he wanted to marry Jane Seymour. In the second part of video I showed that Henry had loyal servants as Thomas Wolsey,Charles Brandon and Thomas Cromwell but in ...
