Kalibangān (Hindi: काली बंगा) is a town located at 29°28′N 74°08′E / 29.47°N 74.13°E / 29.47; 74.13 on the left or southern banks of the Ghaggar (Ghaggar-Hakra River), identified by some scholars with Sarasvati River in Tehsil Pilibangān, between Suratgarh and Hanumāngarh in Hanumangarh district, Rajasthan, India 205 km. from Bikaner. The prehistoric and pre-Mauryan character of Indus Valley Civilization was first identified by Luigi Tessitori at this site. Kalibangan's excavation report was published in its entirety in 2003 by the Archaeological Survey of India, 34 years after the completion of excavations. The report concluded that Kalibangan was a major provincial capital of the Indus Valley Civilization. Kalibangan is distinguished by its unique fire altars and "world's earliest attested ploughed field".

The identity of Kalibangan as a pre-historic site was discovered by Luigi Pio Tessitori, an Italian Indologist (1887–1919) . He was doing some research in ancient Indian texts. He was surprised by the character of ruins in that area, and he sought help from Sir John Marshall of the Archaeological Survey of India. At that time ASI had some excavations done on Harappa, but they never had any idea about the character of the ruins. In fact, Tessitori is the first person to recognize that the ruins are 'Prehistoric' and pre-Mauryan. Luigi Pio Tessitori also pointed out the nature of the culture, but at that time it was not possible to guess that Indus Valley Civilisation lay in the ruins of Kalibangan, and he died five years before Harappan culture was duly recognized.

Ashwin Sanghi (born January 25, 1969) is an Indian author of thriller fiction, best known for his 2007 novel, The Rozabal Line. Sanghi is interested in the lost years of Jesus, the primary theme of his first novel which hypothesizes that Jesus survived the crucifixion and traveled to India. The Rozabal Line was originally published under his pseudonym Shawn Haigins. The revised edition of The Rozabal Line was published by Westland Ltd. & Tranquebar Press in 2008 under his own name.

Ashwin Sanghi was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, the youngest of three children. His schooling was at the Cathedral and John Connon School (Class of 1985). After graduating from Cathedral in 1985 Sanghi attended St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. He attended the Yale School of Management, receiving an MBA in 1993. After graduating from Yale, Sanghi joined his family's business enterprise while continuing to write thriller fiction part-time.

Commander Firoz Shah (Urdu: ﻓﻴﺮﻭﺯﺷﺎﻩ) (7 January 1914 – 6 August 2007), SI (M) was the second principal of Cadet College Petaro, one of the earliest public schools built in Pakistan back in 1957. He joined the Royal Navy in undivided India in 1938 and fought during the Second World War as a part of the British war machine. He was awarded the coveted Sitara-e-Imtiaz award by the Government of Pakistan in 2007 for his meritorious services to Cadet College Petaro

Firoz Shah was born on 7 January 1914 at Pind Dadan Khan near Chakwal, Jhelum District, Punjab. He graduated from the Punjab University, Kitchener's College, Nowgong (in undivided India). Subsequently, he graduated from the Royal Navy College in London. He married Sughra on 24 November 1940. They had three children: two sons (Shafqat and Sajjad) and one daughter. His wife Sughra expired in 1996.

Shah joined the Royal Navy in 1938 in undivided India and served under the British command until 1947. He also fought the Second World War under the British flag.
