Plot

Plot
This is a short horror film that will follow young Ester as she enters the murky waters of middle school. Plot

Plot

Good evening everyone:
I normally do not film conventions like Otakon, but as it turned out, I happened to attend Otakon for the first time this year. Since there happened to have an abridging panel alongside 1kids, masakoX, Nowacking, and of course LittleKuriboh himself, I figured why not. However, given that I don't normally film panels outside of AnimeNEXT, this is more of an informal filming rather than what I usually have with the tripod and all. So that being said, allow me to explain the following:
1. I will be holding the camera this time around while in the crowds, so expect some movement as I try to hold it steady. Because of the packed convention room though, there are probably better angles of the same event, and should you prefer those I do not mind. I did the best I could given the circumstance, and I understand.
2. Out of respect, I have not taped ANY footage whatsoever of their vids. When they are ready to show it, they will show it to all. This also eases on getting the footage built seeing as they have allowed the panel to be segmented. Footage from all three segments will be posted once they are ready.
3. Lighting tends to always be an issue when filming for some reason so I did a bit of post-production work to improve it. Critiques are welcomed, especially when it comes to improving quality.
I hope you all enjoy, regardless of the end result. Thank you for your time.

Yes, it's about that time. Rain, sleet and snow have made way for the sun, long evenings and fresh sneakers. Early may, when Europe's hardwood champions have been crowned and the NBA playoffs shift into full gear, marks the inofficial start of the real basketball season: the streetball season! That's when reputations are made, nicknames are born and every ballplayer naturally gravitates towards that "thump", "thump" sound of his or her home court. Playground basketball is where it all started. Playground basketball is where talent is honed and friendships are made. It's where neighborhoods gather and where skills and sweat are a currency. That's especially true for the mecca of basketball, New York City. Nowhere else do streetball tournaments, players and games attract a quasi-religious following. Dollars, pride and bragging rights are on the line. Believe the hype!
The idea for a visual love letter to NY basketball was born when Red Cafe's unreleased track "Heart & Soul" established itself as an instant office-favorite at K1X headquarters in Munich (Germany) last spring. Niels Jager (K1X Go-To Guy): "The tune was on replay 24/7. And one day it hit us: let's build a statue for NYC streetball!" Red Cafe's ode to the city that never sleeps is a Pete Rock production that boasts all the makings of a hip hop classic. K1X, who has been active in the outfitting of several high profile NYC streetball tournaments for several years, was all the more surprised to find out that this beast of a tune was not yet a prime focus of Red Cafe's record label. Shake Down quickly agreed to let K1X shoot a poetic clip for the song, whose lyrics are a glowing personification of K1X's appreciation for street basketball: The Heart & Soul of New York City.
French streetball documentarist Kevin Couliau (Asphalt Chronicles), who spent the summer of 2009 in the five boroughs hunting down supreme blacktop action, was a natural choice to capture the raw essence of NYC and its rich streetball culture. As was the Canon 5D Mark II as Couliau's weapon of choice. Art director / director / producer Thibaut de Longeville (director of the acclaimed "Just For Kicks" sneaker culture documentary) and motion graphic designer Vincent Dumond of 360 Creative in Paris added their visual expertise to the project and took care of elegant motion graphics and bona fide post production.
The outcome of this work will celebrate its world premiere on May 1st 2010 on k1x.com. The clip features action from K1X affiliated tournaments in Harlem ("Together We Chill" and "Kingdome Classic") and the Lower East Side ("Lower Manhattan Classic") as well as a variety of other city courts and an impressive array of cameos by iconic players, opinion leading heads and a bunch of regular dudes. Bobbito Garcia, who got an early preview of the clip last winter had this to say: "It's so beautiful, man. It's snowing tonight but it made me look forward to the coming summer months again."

Bonus Event: Otakon 2k13 Abridged Panel - Part 1
Good evening everyone: I normally do not film conventions like Otakon, but as it turned out, I happened to attend Otakon for the first time this year. Since there happened to have an abridging panel alongside 1kids, masakoX, Nowacking, and of course LittleKuriboh himself, I figured why not. However, given that I don't normally film panels outside of AnimeNEXT, this is more of an informal filming rather than what I usually have with the tripod and all. So that being said, allow me to explain the following: 1. I will be holding the camera this time around while in the crowds, so expect some movement as I try to hold it steady. Because of the packed convention room though, there are probably better angles of the same event, and should you prefer those I do not mind. I did the best I could given the circumstance, and I understand. 2. Out of respect, I have not taped ANY footage whatsoever of their vids. When they are ready to show it, they will show it to all. This also eases on getting the footage built seeing as they have allowed the panel to be segmented. Footage from all three segments will be posted once they are ready. 3. Lighting tends to always be an issue when filming for some reason so I did a bit of post-production work to improve it. Critiques are welcomed, especially when it comes to improving quality. Yes, it's about that time. Rain, sleet and snow have made way for the sun, long evenings and fresh sneakers. Early may, when Europe's hardwood champions have been crowned and the NBA playoffs shift into full gear, marks the inofficial start of the real basketball season: the streetball season! That's when reputations are made, nicknames are born and every ballplayer naturally gravitates towards that "thump", "thump" sound of his or her home court. Playground basketball is where it all started. Playground basketball is where talent is honed and friendships are made. It's where neighborhoods gather and where skills and sweat are a currency. That's especially true for the mecca of basketball, New York City. Nowhere else do streetball tournaments, players and games attract a quasi-religious following. Dollars, pride and bragging rights are on the line. Believe the hype!
The idea for a visual love letter to NY basketball was born when Red Cafe's unreleased track "Heart & Soul" established itself as an instant office-favorite at K1X headquarters in Munich (Germany) last spring. Niels Jager (K1X Go-To Guy): "The tune was on replay 24/7. And one day it hit us: let's build a statue for NYC streetball!" Red Cafe's ode to the city that never sleeps is a Pete Rock production that boasts all the makings of a hip hop classic. K1X, who has been active in the outfitting of several high profile NYC streetball tournaments for several years, was all the more surprised to find out that this beast of a tune was not yet a prime focus of Red Cafe's record label. Shake Down quickly agreed to let K1X shoot a poetic clip for the song, whose lyrics are a glowing personification of K1X's appreciation for street basketball: The Heart & Soul of New York City.
French streetball documentarist Kevin Couliau (Asphalt Chronicles), who spent the summer of 2009 in the five boroughs hunting down supreme blacktop action, was a natural choice to capture the raw essence of NYC and its rich streetball culture. As was the Canon 5D Mark II as Couliau's weapon of choice. Art director / director / producer Thibaut de Longeville (director of the acclaimed "Just For Kicks" sneaker culture documentary) and motion graphic designer Vincent Dumond of 360 Creative in Paris added their visual expertise to the project and took care of elegant motion graphics and bona fide post production.
The outcome of this work will celebrate its world premiere on May 1st 2010 on k1x.com. The clip features action from K1X affiliated tournaments in Harlem ("Together We Chill" and "Kingdome Classic") and the Lower East Side ("Lower Manhattan Classic") as well as a variety of other city courts and an impressive array of cameos by iconic players, opinion leading heads and a bunch of regular dudes. Bobbito Garcia, who got an early preview of the clip last winter had this to say: "It's so beautiful, man. It's snowing tonight but it made me look forward to the coming summer months again."

Yes, it's about that time. Rain, sleet and snow have made way for the sun, long evenings and fresh sneakers. Early may, when Europe's hardwood champions have been crowned and the NBA playoffs shift into full gear, marks the inofficial start of the real basketball season: the streetball season! That's when reputations are made, nicknames are born and every ballplayer naturally gravitates towards that "thump", "thump" sound of his or her home court. Playground basketball is where it all started. Playground basketball is where talent is honed and friendships are made. It's where neighborhoods gather and where skills and sweat are a currency. That's especially true for the mecca of basketball, New York City. Nowhere else do streetball tournaments, players and games attract a quasi-religious following. Dollars, pride and bragging rights are on the line. Believe the hype!
The idea for a visual love letter to NY basketball was born when Red Cafe's unreleased track "Heart & Soul" established itself as an instant office-favorite at K1X headquarters in Munich (Germany) last spring. Niels Jager (K1X Go-To Guy): "The tune was on replay 24/7. And one day it hit us: let's build a statue for NYC streetball!" Red Cafe's ode to the city that never sleeps is a Pete Rock production that boasts all the makings of a hip hop classic. K1X, who has been active in the outfitting of several high profile NYC streetball tournaments for several years, was all the more surprised to find out that this beast of a tune was not yet a prime focus of Red Cafe's record label. Shake Down quickly agreed to let K1X shoot a poetic clip for the song, whose lyrics are a glowing personification of K1X's appreciation for street basketball: The Heart & Soul of New York City.
French streetball documentarist Kevin Couliau (Asphalt Chronicles), who spent the summer of 2009 in the five boroughs hunting down supreme blacktop action, was a natural choice to capture the raw essence of NYC and its rich streetball culture. As was the Canon 5D Mark II as Couliau's weapon of choice. Art director / director / producer Thibaut de Longeville (director of the acclaimed "Just For Kicks" sneaker culture documentary) and motion graphic designer Vincent Dumond of 360 Creative in Paris added their visual expertise to the project and took care of elegant motion graphics and bona fide post production.
The outcome of this work will celebrate its world premiere on May 1st 2010 on k1x.com. The clip features action from K1X affiliated tournaments in Harlem ("Together We Chill" and "Kingdome Classic") and the Lower East Side ("Lower Manhattan Classic") as well as a variety of other city courts and an impressive array of cameos by iconic players, opinion leading heads and a bunch of regular dudes. Bobbito Garcia, who got an early preview of the clip last winter had this to say: "It's so beautiful, man. It's snowing tonight but it made me look forward to the coming summer months again."

Tomokazu Seki (関 智一, Seki Tomokazu?, born September 8, 1972) is a Japanese voice actor. He formerly worked for Haikyou and is now the head of Atomic Monkey.
Some of his most notable roles include Shinichi Chiaki from Nodame Cantabile, Gilgamesh from Fate/stay night, Rob Lucci from One Piece, Gundam characters Domon Kasshu and Yzak Joule (from G Gundam and Gundam Seed, respectively), Kyo Sohma from Fruits Basket, Ichiro Miyata from Hajime no Ippo, Haru Glory from Rave Master, Chichiri from Fushigi Yuugi, Toya Kinomoto (Sakura Kinomoto's older brother) from Cardcaptor Sakura, Van Fanel from The Vision of Escaflowne and Ken Hidaka from Weiss Kreuz, alongside Hiro Yūki, Takehito Koyasu, and Shinichiro Miki. Koyasu and Miki, along with Seki, have also voiced in Initial D and Gravitation, and Nobuo Terashima in Nana, as well.
His most recent roles are Ryūki Shi in Saiunkoku Monogatari, and in Lucky Star as the recurring guest character, Meito Anizawa.
He is considered very versatile in his industry and has portrayed a wide variety of characters, ranging from comical to dramatic. Very often, the characters he voiced have very comical sides to their seriousness, such as Sagara Sousuke in the Full Metal Panic series, Kenichi Shirahama in Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi, and Toji Suzuhara in Neon Genesis Evangelion.
