"IO" is the first piece of an experimental project.
Common abstract disposition has a reference point, equivalent to
infinity. On the contrary, this project tries to depict the design
forms we are acquainted with, in familiar environmental parameters. It
focuses on referring them with the visual resolution of finite
concepts of mathematical sets and discrete math.
IO alludes to “intro”. Upcoming pieces of the project will try to
overcome the acquainted fictional logic presented here.

From Wikipedia - "A cellular automaton is a discrete model studied in computability theory, mathematics, physics, complexity science, theoretical biology and microstructure modeling. It consists of a regular grid of cells, each in one of a finite number of states, such as "On" and "Off" (in contrast to a coupled map lattice). For each cell, a set of cells called its neighborhood is defined relative to the specified cell. For example, the neighborhood of a cell might be defined as the set of cells a distance of 2 or less from the cell. An initial state (time t=0) is selected by assigning a state for each cell. A new generation is created (advancing t by 1), according to some fixed rule that determines the new state of each cell in terms of the current state of the cell and the states of the cells in its neighborhood. For example, the rule might be that the cell is "On" in the next generation if exactly two of the cells in the neighborhood are "On" in the current generation, otherwise the cell is "Off" in the next generation."

landscape. cadence. timelapse. remote beginnings. the landscape is a journey. evolving geometric terrain measurement instruments fade to landscape abstractions, terrains forming, pulsing and dropping away. exploratory, meditative pathways through abstract forms painted on glass. raw motion data is reinterpreted digitally, contours are extracted and put into action, their amplitude driven by oblique sound, layers of white noise and industrial drone. intentionally leveraging the residue left by continually renewing the terrain constructs, and implying evolution of the known in an unfamiliar space. cyclic permutations gradually form and re-form, new patterns of fractional mathematics result, spawning particle collisions and discrete transforms. the forming new land is traced, ley lines delineate obscure measurements circling back to an ancient magnetic source.
