Michael R. "Mike" Turner (born January 11, 1960) is the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 3rd congressional district, serving since 2003. He is a member of the Republican Party.
The district covers most of the city of Dayton and includes most of Montgomery County, much of Warren County, and is home to all of Highland and Clinton Counties.
Turner, a non-denominational Protestant Christian, was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1960 to Vivian and Ray Turner. His mother was a teacher in the Wayne School system in Huber Heights and his father worked as a member of IUE Local 801 for 42 years after serving in the military. Turner was raised in East Dayton and has one sister.
Turner graduated from Belmont High School in 1978 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the Ohio Northern University in 1982, a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University in 1985, and an MBA from the University of Dayton in 1992. He practiced law with local firms and businesses in the Dayton area before entering politics. He also practiced law during the brief time between his service as Mayor of Dayton and as a Member of Congress.

Mike Leigh, OBE (born 20 February 1943) is a British writer and director of film and theatre. He studied theatre at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and studied further at the Camberwell School of Art and the Central School of Art and Design. He began as a theatre director and playwright in the mid 1960s. In the 1970s and 1980s his career moved between work for the theatre and making films for BBC Television, many of which were characterized by a gritty "kitchen sink realism" style. His well-known films include Life is Sweet (1990), the comedy-drama Career Girls (1997), the Gilbert and Sullivan biopic Topsy Turvy (1999), and the bleak working-class drama All or Nothing (2002). His most notable works are arguably Naked (1993) for which he won the Best Director Award at Cannes, the BAFTA-winning (and Oscar-nominated) Palme d'Or winner Secrets & Lies (1996) and Golden Lion winner Vera Drake (2004).

Plot
A man sells his soul to the devil and shows up on a killing spree at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Leaving a trail of bodies, the apparently indestructible demon challenges the detective to stop him by the end of Mardis Gras or lose his soul. With help from a voodoo lady and his police captain, who remembers the demon from a past Mardis Gras, he gets closer, but risks the destruction of his ex-wife and newly found girlfriend.

Plot
A cop is found dead in a hotel, brutally murdered, a spider cut into his stomach. The police believes his death might be connected to the fact that he was a dirty cop - the internal affairs commission already was after him - but then several other people are murdered in the very same way, and there seems to be no connection between the cases. The police seeks for a blonde woman among the prostitutes.

Jonathan Gruber testified today before the House concerning the bait-and-switch tactic used to pass Obamacare despite the fact that the Administration knew the legislation was a flat out tax.
Gruber was a self-dealing architect of that legislation, the passage of which has netted his company millions in compensation. Gruber achieved notoriety by publicly boasting of his deception at the same time he berated Americans as stupid.
Today the chickens came home to roost for Jonathan Gruber, who got crucified during a 5-minute examination by Rep. Mike Turner.
Turner put on a clinic in witness control, posing 14 yes-no questions to the stunned MIT professor. Each time Turner didn't get a responsive answer ("yes," "no," or "I don't know") to one of his questions, he cut Gruber off at the knees and immediately planted another short truncheon into the forehead of the reeling witness.
An epic take down (perhaps even better than Alan Grayson's annihilation of financial criminals in '09-'10). The ashen faces of the panel witnesses at the conclusion of this bloodbath are not to be missed.

The Crucifixion of Jonathan Gruber by Mike Turner
Jonathan Gruber testified today before the House concerning the bait-and-switch tactic used to pass Obamacare despite the fact that the Administration knew the legislation was a flat out tax. Gruber was a self-dealing architect of that legislation, the passage of which has netted his company millions in compensation. Gruber achieved notoriety by publicly boasting of his deception at the same time he berated Americans as stupid. Today the chickens came home to roost for Jonathan Gruber, who got crucified during a 5-minute examination by Rep. Mike Turner. Turner put on a clinic in witness control, posing 14 yes-no questions to the stunned MIT professor. Each time Turner didn't get a responsive answer ("yes," "no," or "I don't know") to one of his questions, he cut Gruber off at the knees and immediately planted another short truncheon into the forehead of the reeling witness. An epic take down (perhaps even better than Alan Grayson's annihilation of financial criminals in '09-'10). The ashen faces of the panel witnesses at the conclusion of this bloodbath are not to be missed.- published: 09 Dec 2014
