Pedestrian fatality in Laurel late Friday night

A man was killed Friday night in Laurel, Md., when he was struck by a car in a townhouse development, authorities said.

The incident occurred in the 7600 block of South Arbor Lane. Laurel mayor Craig A. Moe said it appeared that the man was pinned beneath a vehicle.
