Florida - The Strangest State In America Explained by Craig Pittman
- Duration: 40:39
- Updated: 09 Oct 2014
Florida and all of the unusual news--from George Zimmerman, to gun issues, Jeb Bush, and the state’s long history of being a bastion of weirdness--are explored with journalist Craig Pittman. The Tampa Bay Times reporter clues us into the major influence of the sugar industry in Washington, the special breed of police officers in the sunshine state, and the subtle political distinctions that separate the latino population. Why has Florida given us such a steady diet of strange news, and what is to come? We get to the bottom of it in this uncensored full length episode of Media Mayhem, hosted by Allison Hope Weiner.
