Oral History project in multiple parts wherein WWll fighter pilot Pieter Cramerus tells about his adventures. From his early youth in the Dutch East Indies until the end of WWll. During that war he was flying Spitfire fighter planes over France, UK, Germany, The Netherlands. Video in English.
In the first episode he tells about his youth, being sent as a six year old to Switzerland. And going back to the Dutch East Indies working for the KPM shipping company. And the looming war in 1941. Video is in English.

Part four of an Oral History project. WWll fighter pilot Pieter Cramerus tells about his adventures during WWll, flying a Spitfire fighter plane over France, UK, Germany, The Netherlands. In this episode he talks about being airlifted from Bandung, Indonesia days befor the Dutch East Indies Army is going to surrender to the Japanese Army.
Captain of the DC3 that is doing the airlift is much admired Iwan Smirnoff. They are not aware that they are about to enter another disastrous adventure soon.

Oral History project in multiple parts wherein WWll fighter pilot Pieter Cramerus tells about his adventures. From his early youth in the Dutch East Indies untll the end of WWll. During that war he was flying Spitfire fighter planes over France, UK, Germany, The Netherlands. Video in English.
In this episode he describes being shot at in his Spitfire and the following dead stick landing (with stopped engine) at Vokel airbase, at 13 February 1945.
