IRAN has ADVANCED PATRIOT MISSILE TECHNOLOGY Israel is very ANGRY us military worried
Iran has unveiled an advanced air defence system that looks like the US military Patriot missile system that will be used against air attack by the Israeli air force. TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan announced the successful test-firing of the country's new air defense system capable of destroying different types of modern fighter jets and drones. "Talash (Struggle) is a mid-range and high-altitude air defense system used to confront the flying targets, including fighter jets and bombers, and is also capable of destroying different helicopters and drones," Dehqan said in Tehran on Saturday. "Talash defense system was designed and built to detect and intercept the targets of Sayyad (Hunter) 2 missile (the country's latest home-made missile system with high precision, range and destruction power) to protect the country's vital and sensitive points against surprise air threats of hi-tech combat fighters," he added. "Now that it has had successful tests, God willing, its production line will be launched in the near future," Dehqan said. In relevant remarks in September, Commander of Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmayeeli announced that Iran is mulling plans to develop its air defense systems based on the possible threats which might be posed to the country in the next five years. "Today, the air defense is moving forward concurrently with new threats and what is going on around us shows that we should make the air defense ready to confront the threats not only of the present time but of the next five years," Esmayeeli said in a ceremony in Tehran at the time. The Israeli Air Force (IAF; Hebrew: זרוע האוויר והחלל, Zroa HaAvir VeHahalal, "Air and Space Arm", commonly known as חיל האוויר, Kheil HaAvir, "Air Corps") is the aerial warfare branch of the Israel Defense Forces. It was founded on May 28, 1948, shortly after the Israeli Declaration of Independence. As of May 2012, the Air Force Commander is Aluf Amir Eshel. The MIM-104 Patriot is a surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, the primary of its kind used by the United States Army and several allied nations. It is manufactured by the Raytheon Company of the United States, and derives its name from the Radar component of the weapon system. The AN/MPQ-53 at the heart of the system is known as the "Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept On Target" or the bacronym PATRIOT. The Patriot System replaced the Nike Hercules system as the U.S. Army's primary High to Medium Air Defense (HIMAD) system, and replaced the MIM-23 Hawk system as the U.S. Army's medium tactical air defense system. In addition to these roles, Patriot has been given the function of the U.S. Army's anti-ballistic missile (ABM) system, which is now Patriot's primary mission. Patriot uses an advanced aerial interceptor missile and high performance radar systems. Patriot was developed at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, which had previously developed the Safeguard ABM system and its component Spartan and Sprint missiles. The symbol for Patriot is a drawing of a Revolutionary War-era Minuteman. The United States Armed Forces[N 1] are the military forces of the United States of America. They consist of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard.[6] The U.S. has a strong tradition of civilian control of the military. The President of the United States is the military's overall head, and helps form military policy with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), a federal executive department, acting as the principal organ by which military policy is carried out. The DoD is headed by the Secretary of Defense, who is a civilian and Cabinet member. The Defense Secretary is second in the military's chain of command, just below the President, and serves as the principal assistant to the President in all DoD-related matters.[7] To coordinate military action with diplomacy, the President has an advisory National Security Council headed by a National Security Advisor. Both the President and Secretary of Defense are advised by a seven-member Joint Chiefs of Staff, which includes the head of each of the Defense Department's service branches as well as the chief of the National Guard Bureau. Leadership is provided by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.[8] The Commandant of the Coast Guard is not a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Persian: نيروهای مسلح جمهوری اسلامی ايران) include the IRIA (ارتش جمهوری اسلامی ایران) and the IRGC (سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی) and the Law Enforcement Force[3] (نيروی انتظامی جمهوری اسلامی ایران). These forces total about 545,000 active personnel (not including the Law Enforcement Force).[4]- published: 09 Nov 2013

Iranian Air Force Conducts Training in Persian Gulf
he Islamic Republic of Iran's Air Force (IRIAF) has launched massive military exercises over the Persian Gulf waters in the south of the country. The drill which kicked off on Friday involves units from all IRIAF bases, and is the main phase of large-scale maneuvers codenamed Fada'eeyan-e Harim-e Velayat 4 (Defenders of Velayat Sanctuary 4), said the spokesman for the drill. Hossein Chitforoushan added that dozens of interceptor fighters, bomber fighters, heavy and semi-heavy transport aircraft, reconnaissance airplanes, maritime patrol aircraft and drones are taking part in the two-day drill. The latest military achievements of the IRIAF will undergo operational tests during the exercises, he said. The drill features long-range operations by fighter jets without aerial refueling as well as pinpoint targeting using bombs and rockets in air-to-surface and air-to-air operations, the spokesman further said. The military exercise also involves air-to-air shooting, targeting flying objects and air-to-surface bombardments using different types of home-made missiles and bombs. Deputy IRIAF Commander Brigadier General Alireza Barkhor told reporters Thursday that the maneuvers are part of annual exercises aimed at testing indigenous air defense systems, improving the units' combat readiness and displaying the country's military might and achievements. He also said that the drill seeks to send a message of peace, friendship and security to regional countries. In recent years, Iran has made major breakthroughs in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing important military equipment and systems. The Islamic Republic has conducted several military drills to enhance the defense capabilities of its armed forces and to test modern military tactics and equipment. Iran says its military might poses no threat to other countries, stating that its defense doctrine is based on deterrence. IRAN unveils ADVANCED AIR DEFENCE Sayyad 2 Israeli Air force worried
Iran military unveils new air defence system to be used against any air attack from the Israeli air force or US air force. TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian defense ministry on Saturday inaugurated the production line of its powerful and high-precision missiles dubbed 'Sayyad (Hunter) 2'. The production line of the missile was launched in a ceremony attended by Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan. "The designing and production of Sayyad 2 missile was brought on agenda to have the needed defensive tool for confronting (possible) air raids," Dehqan said, addressing the ceremony in Tehran today. "The missile enjoys a solid fuel engine with a combined guiding system and high operational capabilities," he added. Dehqan explained that Sayyad 2 is a missile for mid-range and high-altitude air defense systems, designed based on the state-of-the-art technologies which can destroy different types of helicopters, drones and targets with small radar cross-section and high speed and maneuverability within its operational range. Iran successfully test-fired its latest air-defense missile system, Sayyad 2, in 2011. Iran had earlier unveiled Sayyad 1 surface-to-air missile which is a two-staged air defense missile that is capable of destroying targets with low Radar Cross Section (RCS) at low and medium altitudes. The system enjoys the capability to defuse jamming and electronic warfare attacks. Sayyad 2 is an upgraded version and enjoys higher precision, range and destruction power compared with its previous version. Iran announced in August that it has used the latest home-made missile production, Sayyad 2, in its sophisticated S-200 anti-aircraft system. Commander of Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmayeeli told reporters in Tehran at the time that the country has used "Sayyad 2 missiles in its S-200 defense systems", adding that the restructuring of the system was the result of the industrious efforts made by experts at the Iranian defense industries and his base. In November 2010, Iran successfully test-fired its sophisticated S-200 anti-aircraft missile systems. Iran's S-200 system is a very long range, medium-to-high altitude surface-to-air missile (SAM) system designed to defend large areas from bomber attack or other strategic aircrafts. Each battalion has 6 single-rail missile launchers and fire control radar. It can be linked to other, longer-range radar systems. Each missile is launched by 4 solid-fueled strap-on rocket boosters. Maximum range is between 200 and 350 km depending on the model. The missile uses radio illumination mid-course correction to fly towards the target with a terminal semi active radar homing phase. These forces total about 545,000 active personnel (not including the Law Enforcement Force).[4] All branches of armed forces fall under the command of General Headquarters of Armed Forces (ستاد کل نیروهای مسلح). The Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics is responsible for planning logistics and funding of the armed forces and is not involved with in-the-field military operational command. Iran's military was called the Middle East's most powerful by General John Abizaid, Commander, United States Central Command (U.S. forces' commander in the region). However, General Abizaid said he did not include the Israel Defense Forces as they did not fall into his area of operations.[5] The Iranian armed forces consist of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, Islamic Republic of Iran Navy,[18] Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force, and the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force. The regular armed forces have an estimated 425,000 personnel: the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, 350,000 personnel; the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, 18,000 personnel, and the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force, 52,000 airmen.[4] Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force is a branch split off from the IRIAF.[19] The Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, or Revolutionary Guards, has an estimated 120,000 personnel in five branches: Its own Navy,[18] Aerospace Force, and Ground Forces; and the Quds Force (Special Forces).[4] The Basij is a paramilitary volunteer force controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards. Its membership is a matter of controversy. Iranian sources claim a membership of 12.6 million, including women, of which perhaps 3 million are combat capable. There are a claimed 2,500 battalions of which some are full-time personnel.[20] GlobalSecurity.org quotes a 2005 study by the- published: 09 Nov 2013

Iran Air Defence Military Hardware 2013
Newest footage (September 2013) of Iran's Air Defence Force. http://youtu.be/uC3ZIsSWz3Q As of 1996 Iranian Air Defense forces included about 18,000 military personnel. The tradition of aircraft-based air defense, derived from the US-trained Air Force from before the 1978-79 revolution, was giving way to an expanding arsenal of ground-based air defense missile systems. Still, Iran was at the time unable to construct a nationwide, integrated air defense network, and continued to rely on point defense of key locations with surface-to-air missile batteries. The bulk of Iran's Air Force Air Defense holdings by the mid-1990s revolved around 30 Improved HAWK fire units (12 battalions/150+ launchers), 45-60 SA-2 and HQ-2J/23 (CSA-1 Chinese equivalents of the SA-2) launchers. Also available were some 30 Rapier and 15 Tigercat SAM launchers. There are reports of the transfer of SA-6 launchers to Iran from Russia in 1995/1996.In 1997 the Iranian Air Defense forces declared the Almaz S-200 Angara (SA-5 'Gammon') low-to high-altitude surface-to-air missile (SAM) operational. In December 2005 Iran entered into a contract to purchase 29 TOR-M1 (SA-15 Gauntlet) mobile surface-to-air missile defense systems from Russia worth more than USD 700 million (EUR 600 million). Between 1998 and 2002 Iran imported approximately 6 JY-14 surveillance radars from the China National Electronics Import-Export Corporation. The radar can detect targets up to 300 km away and is now part of Iran's air defense system. On 01 September 2008 it was reported that Russia may proceed with plans to sell advanced S-300 air defense systems to Iran under a secret contract believed to have been signed in 2005. On 22 September 2010 Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree banning the sale of the S-300 and other military equipment to Iran. The sale was canceled because of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1929 sanctions on Iran. On 10 November 2010 Iran announced that it had developed a version of the S-300 missile. Iranian land forces have a total of some 1,700 anti-aircraft guns including 14.5mm ZPU-2/-4, 23mm ZSU-23-4, 23mm ZU-23s, 37mm type 55s, 57mm ZSU-57-2 and 100mm KS-19s.Iran also had 100-180 Bofors L/70 40mm guns and modest numbers of Skygaurd 35mm twin anti-aircraft guns.It largest holding consisted of ZU-23s(which it can manufacture). Recently Iran has built several new anti-aircraft guns including Samavat 35mm Anti-Aircraft Guns, Sa'ir 100mm Anti-Aircraft Guns (Upgraded automatic version of KS-19) and the Mesbah 1 air defense system. On 21 August 2012 The Iranian military has started construction of its largest air defense base in the city of Abadeh in the Southern Fars province, the air defense base is due to be built at the cost of $300mln and will have 6,000 personnel for a large array of duties, including educational ones. Days later, the defense ministry also announced plans to develop Bavar 373, a new long-range air-defense system, by March 21, 2013.- published: 04 Sep 2013
