Europa Universalis IV Renovatio Imperii - Unite The Holy Roman Empire!
I have united the Holy Roman Empire in Europa Universalis IV with Austria. I think, this is awesome! Historically, The Holy Roman Empire was a multi-ethnic and complex union of territories in Central Europe existing from 962 to 1806. The territories making up the Empire lay predominantly in Central Europe. At its peak in 1050, under Emperor Henry III, it included the Kingdom of Germany, the Kingdom of Bohemia, the Kingdom of Italy, and the Kingdom of Burgundy. The Holy Roman Empire never achieved the extent of political unification formed in France, evolving instead into a decentralized, limited elective monarchy composed of hundreds of smaller sub-units, principalities, duchies, counties, Free Imperial Cities, and other domains. The power of the emperor was limited, and while the various princes, lords and kings of the Empire were vassals and subjects who owed the emperor their allegiance, they also possessed an extent of privileges that gave them de facto sovereignty within their territories.- published: 20 Sep 2013

Putty continues his quest to murder his father but is distracted along the way. The drums of war beat. From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caliphate A caliphate (from the Arabic خلافة or khilāfa) is an Islamic state led by a supreme religious as well as political leader known as a caliph (meaning literally a successor, i.e., a successor to Islamic prophet Muhammad) and all the Prophets of Islam. The term caliphate is often applied to successions of Muslim empires that have existed in the Middle East and Southwest Asia. Conceptually the caliphate represents the political unity of the entire community of Muslim faithful (the ummah) ruled by a single caliph. In theory, the organization of a caliphate should be a constitutional theocracy (under the Constitution of Medina), which means that the head of state, the Caliph, and other officials are representatives of the people and of Islam and must govern according to constitutional and religious law (Sharia). In its early days, the first caliphate resembled elements of direct democracy (see shura) and an elective monarchy. It was initially led by Muhammad's disciples as a continuation of the leaders and religious system the prophet established, known as the 'Rashidun caliphates'. A "caliphate" is also a state which implements such a governmental system. Sunni Islam stipulates that the head of state, the caliph, should be elected by Shura -- elected by Muslims or their representatives.[2] Followers of Shia Islam believe the caliph should be an Imam chosen by God from the Ahl al-Bayt (Muhammad's purified progeny). From the end of the Rashidun period until 1924, caliphates, sometimes two at a single time, real and illusory, were ruled by dynasties. The first dynasty was the Umayyad. This was followed by the Abbasid, the Fatimid, and finally the Ottoman Dynasty. The caliphate was "the core leader concept of Sunni Islam, by the consensus of the Muslim majority in the early centuries".[3]- published: 13 Jan 2014

Holy Roman Empire in Europa Universalis IV 1820 [+ ENG,GER,HUN Subtitle]
This is my Holy Roman Empire (Heiliges Römisches Reich) in Europa Universalis IV at the end of the game, 1820. I have united the Holy Roman Empire with Austria in 1563. Click CC for in-video commentar, game-history,analysis, etc. ! (available in English, German(Deutsch),Hungarian(Magyar) ). My first goal was to destroy and conquer France. My strategy was the "Divine et Imperia!" (Divinde and rule!), so i have forced France to split into smaller countries. Then i counquered them all. Then i went to war with Spain to conquer the Spain-owned provinces of the Italian Peninsula. During the war i forced Spain to release Galicia,Catalunya,Aragon and Sicilia. I have became best friends with them, vasallised them and later i annexed Sicily to complete my Italian Concuest. I took some danish and 1 polish territory (Poznan, beacuse there's a salt mine, that gives me salt trade bonus.) . 1670 i have leaded a personal union with Great Britain. It was a great surprise, beacuse i don't really wanted to conquer the British Isles. But the plan has changed, i annexed GB around 1740-50. Poland tried to win a war against me, but the outcome was an Imperial victory. I liberated Krakow ('cus why not? An amazing City-State in the heart of Europa), Moldova and Hungary, i vasallised them too, but not annexed them. I don't conquered more provinces in Europe, beacuse my goal was to have flourish, advanced provinces. And it wasn't absuluteley necessary, beacuse i were the strongest and richest nation in the game. I haven't got the best tech, beacuse after my European Conquest were complete, i focused on the national ideas and colonisation. I have gathered the trade in Antwerpen, and then i colledted it from there. I specialised the provinces in that trade node to be more valuable and have more trade power. At the startup i were a catholic state, i survived the reformation and i remained catholic(Katholisch on the map) for all the time. I had only 2 provinces in South-America (got from GB). And i had some provinces in North-Western Africa and some in the Kongo region. I had 2 bigger and 2 smaller islands in the South-Eastern Asian Region, i used them to collect from trade there. (trade node Malacca) I had there a small vasall too. Just to make the Spain angry, how they can't control that entire island :D Thoose provinces were specialised on trade too. And i also got some North-american (canadian) province from GB. The strangest and funniest thing in the game: I were a big Empire and my goverment form still being Arcduchy! (Erzherzogtum) My diplomatic relations: some friends, some vasalls, much more enemies and yeah, Haiti and Quebec BFF! I had a very very strong economy. ~250 tax-, ~320 production- and ~300 trade income. (once trade income was over 600) And i had a really big army (~560 unit/ 934) and a quite big fleet (~350/512). This is all i achieved in about 400 years (1444-1820). Lets Learn and Play Crusader Kings 2 Ep44
Episode 44: We become an Elective Monarchy! Which angers just about everyone. We also destroy a duchy title because we're above our duchy limit. If I can't have it, no one can! That angers people as well. We also improve our stewardship by buying and running a bar for a while. Salt the turnips! Oh, and a hunt goes quite well too. This is an up-to-date tutorial/let's play series for the current version of Crusader Kings 2 (2.0.3-4). We will, as much as possible, learn from actually playing the game. I will only explain icons, buttons, and mechanics as they become important, hopefully keeping this series interesting to watch as well as instructional. Ideally, you will even be able to play alongside each episode instead of having to watch hours of video before you can do anything in the game. *Caution* While welcome, Paradox updates this game constantly, and the larger updates (which usually coincide with DLC releases) will often break saved games. Since many players will spend months playing the same save, it can be quite frustrating when this happens. Protect yourself by turning off automatic updates if you play the game through Steam. You can do this by going to "My Library" within the Steam application and right-clicking on "Crusader Kings II" in the list. Choose "Properties" and then click on the "Updates" tab. Under "Automatic Updates", choose "Do not automatically update this game" and click on "Close". When an update is ready, you can update by double-click on "update required", but read the "news" section for the game (link on the right of the screen) to see what the update changes. I would only recommend updating with small patches that don't change gameplay drastically until you are ready to start a new game.- published: 23 Jan 2014

Crusader Kings 2 - Bavarian Spymastery - Supervassal Ep19
Episode 19: Our liege gives in to a vassal's demand to switch to Elective Monarchy and guess who gets nominated to be his heir? Perhaps if we give him the option to switch to Primogeniture... What is a supervassal? Well, we're going to be the best vassal our liege can have. Yes, we'll be on his council, but we will also work behind the scenes to support him and always do what's best for his line (whether he likes it or not). We will also continuously strive to expand our power, though never at the expense of our liege, as the more powerful we are the better we can serve him.- published: 09 Feb 2014
