Al-hamdan
Al-Hamdan or Hamdan (Arabic: ال حمدان) is a famous Druze family. A part of them was banished from Lebanon after the Battle of Ain Dara in 1711 and were among the first to migrate to Jabal ad-Duruz in Southern Syria. But the other part stayed in Lebanon, and many had high places in the government, and they still live today in Lebanon Bater ech chouf. And from their ancestors where Saif el Dawla and Abo Feras al Hamdany and much more great royal poets and knights in Alleppo and AlMousel. They became leaders in jabal al druze, but they lost their position to al-Atrash family in 1869. They were almost wiped out in the events. They still live today in different parts of Jabal ad-Duruz and in bater.
The name al-Hamdani (also spelled al-Hamdānī, Arabic: الحمداني) may refer to:
Sheikh Abdul Aziz (1952 – August 11, 2008) was chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Peoples League and a prominent member of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, an alliance of Kashmiri pro-freedom groups at the forefront of the political struggle against Indian rule in Indian Administered Kashmir. He was a strong advocate of the right to self-determination of Kashmiri people and believed that an independent plebiscite under UN supervision could bring long lasting peace in South-Asia.
Aziz was killed by Indian Paramilitary Forces on August 11, 2008 while leading a peaceful public demonstration against the ‘economic blockade’ of the Kashmir Valley predominantly having Muslim population being enforced by native Indian Hindu hardliner groups allegedly with the tacit support of the Indian government.
Aziz was a former militant commander turned pro-freedom politician. He had been jailed on several occasions for demanding accession of Kashmir with Pakistan. He is the third prominent pro-freedom leader to have been killed after the eruption in 1989 of armed struggle against Indian rule in Indian Administered Kashmir and the second chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s League to have been killed by Indian Paramilitary Forces. Earlier, Abdul Hamid Wani, popularly known as S. Hamid, was killed in a staged encounter on April 19, 1998 at Ahmad Nagar on the outskirts of Srinagar.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Arabic محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم; Muḥammad bin Rāshid al Maktūm), also Sheikh Mohammed, (born July 22, 1949), is the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and constitutional monarch of Dubai.
He is the third of Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum's four sons (members of Dubai's ruling family Al Maktoum and descendants of the House of Al-Falasi, of which he is the tribal leader). From the age of four, Sheikh Mohammed was privately tutored in Arabic and Islamic Studies. In 1955, he began his formal education at Al Ahmedia School. At the age of 10, he moved to Al Shaab School, and two years later, he went to Dubai Secondary School. In 1966, he and his cousin, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Maktoum, attended the Bell Educational Trust's English Language School in the United Kingdom.[citation needed]
His senior wife is Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum whom he married in 1979.
His best-known junior wife is HRH Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, daughter of King Hussein of Jordan and half-sister of current King Abdullah II of Jordan, whom he married on April 10, 2004, and with whom he has two children, a daughter, Al-Jalila, born December 2, 2007 and a son, Zayed, born January 7, 2012. Sheikh Mohammed announced the arrival of his son Zayed on Twitter.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum (Arabic حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم) also known as "Fazza," the name under which he publishes his poetry, (born 13 November 1982), is the Crown Prince of Dubai, and second eldest son of HH Emir Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Hamdan began his schooling in Dubai at the Rashid School For Boys and then continued his studies in the UK. There, he graduated from Sandhurst and later attended the London School of Economics, but did not graduate.
On 1 February 2008, Sheikh Mohammed appointed Sheikh Hamdan as the Hereditary Prince of Dubai. As the new Hereditary Prince, he has recently appointed new key personal and financial advisors such as global economist John Calverley and hedge fund tycoon James T. Naeem of HN Capital LLP. He was appointed as the Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council in September 2006. He also is the head of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, and the president of the Dubai Sports Council and the Dubai Autism Centre.
You think that I can't
Live without your love
You'll see,
You think I can't go
On another day.
You think I have nothing
Without you by my side,
You'll see
Somehow, some way
You think that I can
Never laugh again
You'll see,
You think that you
Destroyed my
Faith in love
You think after
All you've done
I'll never find my
Way back home,
You'll see
Somehow, someday
All by myself
I don't need
Anyone at all
I know I'll survive
I know I'll stay alive,
All on my own
I don't need
Anyone this time
It will be mine
No one can
Take it from me
You'll see
You think that
You are strong, but
You are weak
You'll see,
It takes more strength
To cry, admit defeat
I have truth on my side,
You only have deceit
You'll see,
Somehow, someday
All by myself
I don't need
Anyone at all
I know I'll survive
I know I'll stay alive,
I'll stand on my own
I won't need
Anyone this time
It will be mine
No one can
Take it from me
You'll see
You'll see, you'll see
You'll see,
Mmm, mmm
Give me back my legs
I want to walk like I did
You stole away my breath floating over my head
Do you lead me on with your fingers across my back, well
When I drag you down you will sink like an anchor
You will, like an anchor
And as I'm falling out of the sun, back to where I feel safe again
How did I come undone trying to save my own skin
I want to be your hero
I want to show you the good fight
I want to touch your face before you sink like an anchor
You will, like an anchor
You'll come down on my side
You'll come down in good time
You'll come down on my side
