Ferdinand is a long-standing employee at Fish Land, the aquatic centre within the globalised leisure complex "Worlds Apart". Ahmed, an Iraqi doctor, runs a makeshift clinic with his father, Jasim, out of their own home in bombed out Baghdad. The victims of war pour in, suffering everything from diphtheria to gunshot wounds. Ahmed's father does not charge for his services, knowing that his patients cannot afford treatment anyways. When supplies start to run low, however, Ahmed begins to question his father's incurable idealism. Oman, a dear friend of Ahmed, is hit by a roadside bomb and the clinic barely has the requisite medicine to keep him alive. Ahmed confronts his father about the worsening situation and when Jasim refuses to charge patients money, he resolves to take action himself. Both men's lives are changed forever when a wounded journalist is dragged into their clinic while they are already operating on a compatriot. The clock is ticking and Ahmed must weigh the lives of his countrymen against this journalist- a foreigner, but willing to pay. Can Ahmed sacrifice one of his own in the hope of saving hundreds more?

Stage 4 of the Tour of Oman was set to test the serious contenders for the leader's red jersey. Follow GCN on YouTube: http://gcn.eu/gcnsubs The four ascents of Bousher Alamrat would certainly prove decisive near the finish, but a predominantly flat start allowed a four man group including our favourite Jelle Wallays to gain a lead upwards of 8 minutes. As the climbs came into view though, the chase in the peloton was hotting up, and riders in the break fell back. By the fourth and final climb, a select group of riders remained and the attacks began. In the end, a trio including Peter Sagan broke free and made their bid for victory. Despite a frantic chase from the bunch behind, Sagan won the three-up sprint to take his first victory of 2014 and the red leader's jersey. Tour of Oman 2014 Stage 4 Peter Sagan claimed his first victory of 2014 by winning Stage 4 of the Tour of Oman. Sagan, who inherited the leader's jersey from Andre Greipel (Lotto Belisol), prevailed in a small sprint from Rigoberto Uran (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) and Astana's Vincenzo Nibali. The trio finished around two seconds up on a small group of pursuers comprising most of the race favourites, inculding Tour de France winner and defending champion Chris Froome. "It was really very important for my confidence to take such a difficult stage," said Sagan. "I've already been placed second three times this year, it was about time I had a win." He added: "My form is really very good and what pleases me more is the form of my team-mates who were alongside me up the climbs." Earlier in the 173km stage Evan Huffman (Astana), Yaroslav Popovych (Trek Factory Racing), Greg Van Avermaet (BMC) and Jelle Wallays (Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise) broke free from the peloton, and by 50km into the stage they held an eight minute lead. The peloton led by Lotto-Belisol, Tinkoff-Saxo, BMC and Omega Pharma-Quickstep then started chasing and just before taking on the first of four climbs up Bousher Alamrat, the leaders saw their advantage drop down to 5min 50sec. As the race ramped up over the climb, race leader André Greipel and best young rider Leigh Howard (Orica-GreenEDGE) struggled with the pace and were dropped. Eventually Popovych, Huffman and Wallays were caught at the beginning of the third climb leaving Van Avermaet to forge on alone. The Belgian made it to the top of the penultimate climb with an 18 second lead over Sky's Sergio Henao and 32 seconds to the now-reduced peloton. Van Avermaet was finally caught by a group of around 60 riders with 14km to go. All the candidates for overall victory were present at the front for the final climb. Despite attacks they could not force a split and Froome was the first to summit the climb ahead of Roman Kreuziger (Tinkoff Saxo) and Uran. Like the previous day, the title holder and 2013 Tour de France winner powered away taking Uran with him. But he was soon to be caught. On the long descent with under ten kilometres from the finish Nibali, Sagan and Uran attacked and managed to carve an 12 second lead with five kilometres to go. That advantage dropped down to six seconds at the final kilometre mark, but it would be good enough to fight for stage victory. Sagan holds a 10 second lead over Uran, with Nibali a further four seconds behind. Froome is 18 seconds off the pace with two stages remaining. "Tomorrow's stage should suit us well because we have a strong group of climbers here," said Froome. "We spent a lot of energy today, but a lot of other teams did too, so that'd shouldn't be a massive factor. With the GC being as tight as it is, it's all still to play for, definitely. "It's going to be a hard day, and although we're not racing under any real pressure here, I still want to try and defend my title. That said, when you look at the bigger picture, it's not the be all and end all, so we'll give it our best and see what happens." Saturday's fifth and penultimate stage takes the peloton on a 75km ride from Bidbid up to the Green Mountain summit of Jabal Al Akhdhar.
