Top 60 Ghetto Black Names
This is the ORIGINAL video. The rest are parodies. We countdown the top 60 ghettoest and blackest names Follow me on Twitter! twitter.com Check out the making of this video here: www.youtube.com 5-18-2009 This video was posted on Kanye West's Blog by Kanye himself!!! Check it out here: www.kanyeuniversecity.com Evens - Andrew Odds - Isaac Andrew's Favorite - 27. Elephantisha Isaac's Favorite - 24. Qua'Lifriaqui'Sha'Niquia We are both Hispanic The story behind the video: (By request) One day in school I, (Andrew) came up with the idea for the video. In my 8th period class I started jotting down a list of names I could think of. My friend Zoe asked to see the list, so I let her see. She put down a few names and soon it went around the whole backrow of the classroom. When it got back to me there was about 20 more names on there (Adding to the 50 or so I jotted down) When it got back to me I added an extra 10 or 15. After school I showed Isaac the list, and he still was skeptical and didn't think it was too good of an idea, but I convinced him to try it out. We got picked up from school and went to go eat at a restaurant with my parents. While waiting for our food we finalized the list by crossing out names that weren't funny and adding some of the best ones. We went to his house after eating and decided to quickly make the video then and there, because I was about to leave to go home. There was about 80 or so names on the original list (which I still have) but we marked it ...

the names - nightshift
The Names were a Post-Punk band from Brussels (Belgium), formed in 1978 around bassist and songwriter Michel Smordynia. After local gigs as The Passengers, they changed their name in time for their debut single, Spectators of Life, released by WEA in 1979 to test the market for home-grown new wave music. (wikipedia)

The Names Calcutta
Being signed by famous Manchester label Factory Records early in 1980 helped Brussels based band The Names to achieve a strong reputation both in Belgium and abroad. The single "Nightshift" marked the beginning of their collaboration with Martin Hannett, the producer of Joy Division, with whom the band were to record an album ("Swimming") and two more singles ("Calcutta" and "The Astronaut"). The band was formed in late 1977 by Michel Sordinia (vocals and bass) and Marc Deprez (guitar), soon joined by drummer Christophe Den Tandt. Initially called The Passengers, they worked with female singer Isabelle Hanrez and guitarist Robert Franckson before Sordinia, Deprez and Den Tandt (now keyboards) evolved as The Names, with drummer Luc Capelle. "Spectators Of Life", their first single, was released in 1979. On their Factory, and later Disques du Crépuscule, recordings with Martin Hannett, Capelle played the drums, except for "The Astronaut" where a serious bike accident led him to be replaced by Michel Silverstein. He was back when the band reunited in 1997 to record an album ("Night Vision") under the name Jazz and with Eric Debruyne taking over on bass guitar, Michel Sordinia concentrating on vocals. The Names recently made their return on stage (with new drummer Laurent Loddewijckx) during a Factory Night event at Plan K, in Brussels, in december of 2007. A live DVD, "Nightshift", was released in 2008 by LTM. The new studio album, "Monsters Next Door", will be out in April ...

Iceland, Eyjafjallajökull - May 1st and 2nd, 2010
So I saw all of these pictures of that volcano in Iceland nobody can pronounce the name of, so I figured I should go and do something that is not news footage but something more cinematic. But the flights to get over took forever as expected (somewhat). 4 days after leaving I finally made it, but the weather was terrible for another 4. Just before leaving it got pretty good for about a day and a half and this is what I managed to get.
Wish I had more time. I missed all the cool Lightning and the Lava of the first eruption. But I figure this will just be a trial run for another day.
I am of course accepting sponsors to send me back there for more please...!! haha

The Arctic Light
Follow me on https://facebook.com/TSOphotography for more photos, videos & updates.
This was filmed between 29th April and 10th May 2011 in the Arctic, on
the archipelago Lofoten in Norway.
My favorite natural phenomenon is one I do not even know the name of, even after talking to meteorologists and astrophysicists I am none the wiser. What I am talking about I have decided to call The Arctic Light and it is a natural phenomenon occurring 2-4 weeks before you can see the Midnight Sun.
The Sunset and Sunrise are connected in one magnificent show of color and light lasting from 8 to 12 hours. The sun is barely going below the horizon before coming up again. This is the most colorful light that I know, and the main reason I have been going up there for the last 4 years, at the exact
same time of year, to photograph. Based on previous experience, I knew this was going to be a very
difficult trip. Having lost a couple of cameras and some other equipment up there before, it was crucial to bring an extra set of everything. I also
made sure I had plenty of time in case something went wrong.
If you can imagine roping down mountain cliffs, or jumping around on slippery rocks covered in seaweed with 2 tripods, a rail, a controller,
camera, lenses, filters and rigging for 4-5 hour long sequences at a time, and then
having to calculate the rise and fall of the tides in order to capture the essence - it all proved bit of a challenge.
And almost as if planned, the trip would turn out to become very
difficult indeed. I had numerous setbacks including: airline lost my
luggage, struggling to swim ashore after falling into the Arctic sea: twice, breaking lenses, filters, tripod, computer, losing the whole dolly rig and controller into the sea, and even falling off a rather tall rock and ending
up in the hospital. As much as I wanted to give up, the best way Out is
always “Through”. I am glad I stuck it through though because there were some amazing sunrises waiting. At 1:06 you see a single scene from day to night to day which is from 9pm to 7am. Think about that for a minute.. 10 hours with light like that.
I asked the very talented Marika Takeuchi to specifically compose and
perform a song for this movie, and what she came up with is absolutely remarkable. Thank you very much Marika!

Designed as a possible title sequence for a fictitious documentary, this film shows a history of the title sequence in a nutshell. The sequence includes all the names of title designers who had a revolutionary impact on the history and evolution of the title sequence. The names of the title designers all refer to specific characteristics of the revolutionary titles that they designed.
This film refers to elements such as the cut and shifted characters of Saul Bass' Psycho title, the colored circles of Maurice Binder's design for Dr. No and the contemporary designs of Kyle Cooper and Danny Yount.
This title sequence refers to the following designers and their titles:
Georges Méliès - Un Voyage Dans La Lune, Saul Bass - Psycho, Maurice Binder - Dr. No, Stephen Frankfurt - To Kill A Mockingbird, Pablo Ferro - Dr. Strangelove, Richard Greenberg - Alien, Kyle Cooper - Seven, Danny Yount - Kiss Kiss Bang Bang / Sherlock Holmes

Nokta . (Dot .) is an abstract short film project which is an improvisation of organic pieces and themes like power, control and luck. Using low-budget equipment and with the combination of actual camera shooting, 2d and 3d animation techniques, the film alters the reality and physics of the real world with the help of the liquid and dynamic simulations’ impact.
Even though the film is not produced according to the base of Amos Funkenstein’s text on harmony, but the text is a convenient statement for the stylistic and representational behaviour of the film.
'I see some correspondence between the foundation of universal harmony on elliptical orbit and the predilection for the elliptic forms in Baroque architecture. In both cases harmony is still defined as unity within multiplicity, but it ceased to be static, namely, harmony expressed in one ideal geometrical form, and became so to speak dynamic. What was previously regarded as the deviation from the ideal form, was comprehended for the first time as an integral part of the form, or form of forms, which are capable of endless transitions one into another. ' [Amos Funkenstein, The Dialectical Preparation of Scientific Revolutions. On the Role of Hypothetical Reasoning in the Emergence of Copernican Astronomy and Galilean Mechanics.]
