The Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting took place in Sri Lanka in November. See an opinion piece by Callum in the Times of India here.
The event was dominated by the discussion over Sri Lanka’s human rights record – and that theme was illustrated only too clearly by the behavior of the Sri Lankan authorities. Read Callum’s article written at the time here.

We held two premieres for the film in India – one on Delhi and one in Mumbai. Both generated huge interest and Indian concern was increased by our new evidence demonstrating that far from being killed in combat as the government of Sri Lanka claims, the Tamil Tiger newsreader and actress Isaipriya was captured alive – and then assaulted and executed. India’s decision to deny a visa to Callum Macrae to attend the CHOGM also raised great concern see Times of India article. Also a DNA article here
The British Premiere was held at the Curzon Cinema Soho on the 6th of September. It was a very successful event attended by many influential people including politicians, journalists, diplomats and others. It concluded with a question and answer session with Jon Snow and Callum Macrae. Photos of the event
TV versions of the film have also been broadcast on Swedish and Indian channels as well as Channel 4 which broadcast a special edition focusing on Britain’s role and CHOGM (UK only).
