Cut, copy, and paste

In human–computer interaction, cut and paste and copy and paste are related commands that offer a user-interface interprocess communication technique for transferring data. The cut command removes the selected data from its original position, while the copy command creates a duplicate; in both cases the selected data is placed in a clipboard. The data in the clipboard is later inserted in the position where the paste command is issued.

The command names are an interface metaphor based on the physical procedure used in manuscript editing to create a page layout.

This interaction technique has close associations with related techniques in graphical user interfaces that use pointing devices such as a computer mouse (by drag and drop, for example).

The capability to replicate information with ease, changing it between contexts and applications, involves privacy concerns because of the risks of disclosure when handling sensitive information. Terms like cloning, copy forward, carry forward, or re-use refer to the dissemination of such information through documents, and may be subject to regulation by administrative bodies.

2C-P

2C-P is a relatively potent and long acting psychedelic phenethylamine and 2C compound first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin.

Chemistry

2C-P is 2,5-dimethoxy-4-(n)-propylphenethylamine. The full name of the chemical is 2-(2,5-dimethoxy-4-propylphenyl)ethanamine. The hydrochloride salt is the most common form, normally found as a white powder, or white crystals. Shulgin's 2C-P crude freebase (soluble in chloroform), after "removal of the solvent under vacuum," was an off-white colored oil which he distilled at 100–110 °C at 0.3 mm/Hg (turning it "water white" in color), and it "spontaneously crystallized" upon cooling.

Effects

2C-P produces intense hallucinogenic, psychedelic, and entheogenic effects including open eye visualizations and closed-eye visualizations. It can have a very slow onset if ingested, and peak effects reportedly do not occur for 3 to 5 hours. The peak last for five to ten hours, with the overall experience lasting up to 20 hours. Some users reports that their 2C-P experiences have lasted anywhere between 10 to 24 hours, or even longer (up to 26 hours with a re-dose or supplemental dosages being taken after the initial dose) with higher doses between 16-20 milligrams as some users reported.

2C2P

2C2P is a Singapore-headquartered pan-ASEAN payment services company. It was founded in 2003 by Aung Kyaw Moe, an entrepreneur from Myanmar who is based in Singapore and Thailand. In addition to establishing 2C2P, Aung has also co-founded Paysbuy, a Thai payments company, in 2004.

2C2P works with financial institutions, e-commerce and m-commerce merchants. It is headquartered in Singapore and has offices across Southeast Asia, including in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Thailand, as well as in Hong Kong.

The company processed over $2.2 billion in transactions in FY2014. 2C2P has received financial backing from venture capitalists Amun Capital, GMO Venture Partners and Digital Media Partners. 2C2P was listed by Deloitte as one of only three Singaporean businesses, and among the fastest growing regional technology companies in the 2013 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Awards. In 2015, it was named among the Top 25 payment startups by CB Insights, alongside Square Inc., Stripe (company), Adyen.

C. P. Ramaswami Iyer

Sachivottama Sir Chetpat Pattabhirama Ramaswami Iyer, KCSI, KCIE (12 November 1879 – 26 September 1966), also called "C. P.", was an Indian lawyer, administrator and politician who served as the Advocate-General of Madras Presidency from 1920 to 1923, Law member of the Executive council of the Governor of Madras from 1923 to 1928, Law member of the Executive Council of the Viceroy of India from 1931 to 1936 and the Diwan of Travancore from 1936 to 1947. Ramaswami Iyer was born in 1879 in Madras city and studied at Wesley College High School and Presidency College, Madras before qualifying as a lawyer from the Madras Law College. He practised as a lawyer in Madras and succeeded S. Srinivasa Iyengar as the Advocate-General of the Madras Presidency. He subsequently served as the Law member of the Governor of Madras and the Viceroy of India before being appointed Diwan of Travancore in 1936.

Ramaswami Iyer served as Diwan from 1936 to 1947; during his tenure, many social and administrative reforms were made. However, at the same time, he is also remembered for the ruthless suppression of the communist-organised Punnapra-Vayalar revolt, and his controversial stand in favour of an independent Travancore. He resigned in 1947 following a failed assassination attempt. He served as a leader of the Indian National Congress in his early days. He was made a Knight Commander of the Indian Empire in 1926 and a Knight Commander of the Star of India in 1941. He returned these titles when India attained independence in 1947. He was also a member of the 1926 and 1927 delegations to the League of Nations. In his later life he served in numerous international organisations and on the board of several Indian universities. Ramaswami Iyer died in 1966 at the age of 86 while on a visit to the United Kingdom.
