Bob Coffin is a Las Vegas city councilman, representing the city's east side in Ward 3. He was previously a Democratic member of the Nevada Senate, representing Clark County District 10 (map) from 1987-2011. Previously he was a member of the Nevada Assembly from 1983 through 1985. Mr. Coffin is half Mexican American.

Carolyn G. Goodman is the mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is the wife of former mayor Oscar Goodman, and the second female mayor of Las Vegas.

She received a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Bryn Mawr College in 1961. Carolyn and her husband Oscar moved to Las Vegas from Philadelphia as newlyweds in 1964. She graduated the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1973 with a master's degree in counseling. She is the founder, president and trustee emeritus of the Meadows School. On June 7, 2011, she was elected Mayor of Las Vegas with 60 percent of the vote; she assumed office on July 6, 2011.

She received the 2009 Commitment to Education award from the United Way of Southern Nevada.

On October 24, 2011, Carolyn Goodman greeted President Barack Obama at McCarran Airport. In regards to negative remarks President Obama said about Vegas two years earlier that caused a stir with Goodman's husband Oscar, the previous mayor, she told Obama that "the slate is brand new and clean," and gave him one of her lucky mayor chips as a gift.

Jeff Coffin (born August 5, 1965) is an American jazz and alternative rock musician best known as the saxophonist for Dave Matthews Band and Béla Fleck and the Flecktones. In addition to the saxophone, he plays clarinet, flute and oboe.

After attending the University of New Hampshire, Coffin moved on to study at the University of North Texas, where he graduated with a B.A. in Music Education in 1990. A recipient of a Jazz Studies grant from the NEA, in 1991, he continued to study under the tutelage of Joe Lovano, and began taking students of his own. Although he moved outside the confines of the educational realm, entering the Nashville music scene during the same year, he continued to be interested in teaching about music.

He has been a member of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones since March 1997, and performed on every Flecktones album from 1998's Left of Cool through 2008's "Jingle All the Way".

Coffin is still listed as a band member on the Flecktones website, but he has stated that touring requirements for Dave Matthews Band preclude his touring with The Flecktones. He does not appear on the latest album, Rocket Science, which features original band member Howard Levy in his place.

Bob Mintzer is a jazz saxophonist, composer, arranger, and big band leader based in Los Angeles, California. Bob Mintzer, born January 27, 1953 and a native of New Rochelle, New York is what's known as a triple threat musician. He is equally active in the areas of performance, composing/arranging, and music education. While touring with the Yellowjackets or his own quartet, or big band, Bob is busy writing music for big band, various small bands, saxophone quartets, orchestral and concert band music.

Bob is also on the faculty of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles along with long-time cohorts Peter Erskine, Alan Pasqua, Vince Mendoza, and fellow Yellowjacket Russell Ferrante. where he teaches jazz composition,, saxophone, directs the Thornton Jazz Orchestra, and conducts a jazz workshop class for incoming freshmen and sophomore jazz students. He also does workshops all over the globe, writes books on a variety of musical subjects, plays on countless recordings every year, and is summoned to be guest conductor and soloist with large and small bands all over the world.

Robert William Gillespie [Bunch] (October 8, 1919 – November 4, 2001) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball who played between 1944 and 1950 for the Detroit Tigers (1944), Chicago White Sox (1947–48) and Boston Red Sox (1950). Listed at 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m), 187 lb., Gillespie batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Columbus, Ohio.

In a four-season career, Gillespie posted a 5–13 record with a 4.73 ERA in 58 pitching appearances, including 23 starts, two complete games, 59 strikeouts, 102 walks, and 202 ⅓ innings of work.

Gillespie died in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at age 82.
