Baustelle | Santa Leopoldina | Monica Nitz
O título do trabalho é Operação Brote.

The title is Brote operation. A survey affects parts of a traditional recipe of German cuisine, and that the outbreak is also a reminder of the family artist, because his grandmother Dona Cecilia Nitz always made bread.
The invitation to Monica to participate in the project was around the time he lost his grandmother, who made note of tenderness and the personal world of each one loses when we do not have close family members to relive the stories and memories of our past family. The artist realized that he had not learned to make bread that grew up eating the sprouts, and this recipe of Dona Cecilia may have been lost with his departure from this life.
It is known that the outbreak in the Holy Spirit came when the Pomeranians emigrated to some regions of the state and failed to produce wheat, the main ingredient of your bread, because of a warm, tropical climate and had to replace it with the corn in the manufacture of bread, and this adaptation arose mihabrout, or just springs [Bud / Brot / Broud], a corn bread which appeared in 1857 and will be refitting and adding ingredients such as bananas, yams, etc..
The various ways to make this bread and cooking is something very particular to each family, led the artist to think in OPERATION Brote. This paper proposes to Monica get a bit of its history, customs and traditions of Germanic origin and his memories of his grandmother. Artist residency for a week you want to investigate and not just go in search of ways to do a shoot, but stories of families from their origin, fragments of their heritages, possible clues about your family in the city of residence and Finally, the demarcation lines of those places, building thus part of his affection for the exchanges and friendships that are discovered through its stroke.

How cool harvesting is changing wine
The Barossa Valley is a must visit food destination for any food thinker visiting Adelaide. The region is world famous for wine and a rich, local cuisine has evolved from the self sufficiency of the early, mostly German settlers. The area is also home to Jacob’s Creek – one of Australia’s most admired wine brands - who is predicting big things from its new Cool Harvest range of wines.
In this episode Barossa Valley history buff James Keane and winemaker Rebekah Richardson share their views on the region and the wine.
