True Noon (film)

True Noon (Tajik: Qiyami roz) is a 2009 Tajik film directed by Nosir Saidov. It was chosen as official selection in 2009 for the International Film Festival Rotterdam.True Noon became the first Tajik film which made it to distribution in Tajikistan in 18 years, i.e. since independence. It was also aired at the Marrakech International Film Festival.

The film was originally funded by Talco Management, a domestic company. However, the funding stopped due to the economic crisis, and Saidov had to search for funding in Europe.

The film deals with the changes and unease caused in the common man's life by the government, about which he cares nothing. The state acts only to control its citizens and does not add anything to their life. The film portrays the effects of the change of the borders between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan (not explicitly named in the film), which leads to the erecting of a new fence between two villages and the people's basic instinct to resist this arbitrary change. The film is largely absurdist and humorous, while dealing with weighty matters.

Noon

Noon (also midday or noon time) is usually defined as 12 o'clock in the daytime. The term midday is also used colloquially to refer to an arbitrary period of time in the middle of the day. Solar noon is when the sun crosses the meridian and is at its highest elevation in the sky, at 12 o'clock apparent solar time. The local or clock time of solar noon depends on the longitude and date. The opposite of noon is midnight.

In many cultures in the Northern Hemisphere, noon had ancient geographic associations with the direction "south" (as did midnight with "north" in some cultures). Remnants of the noon = south association are preserved in the words for noon in French (Midi) and Italian (Mezzogiorno), both of which also refer to the southern parts of the respective countries. Modern Polish, Ukrainian, and Serbian go a step farther, with the words for noon (południe, південь, пoднe – literally "half-day") also meaning "south" and the words for "midnight" (północ, північ, пoнoħ – literally "half-night", as with English mid(dle) meaning "half") also meaning "north".

"True..." is the first single by Riyu Kosaka. It was released on October 17, 2001. It features her solo track True..., which debuted on Konami's DDRMAX Dance Dance Revolution 6thMix. It also features a cover of BeForU's Dive, entitled Dive to the Night.

Hilary Duff

Hilary Erhard Duff (born September 28, 1987) is an American actress and singer. True (EP)

True is the debut extended play (EP) by American recording artist Solange Knowles, first released on November 27, 2012 digitally through Terrible Records. Following the release of her second studio album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams (2008), Knowles announced that she had parted ways with Interscope Geffen A&M after releasing just one album on the label, and further revealed that she had chosen to go an independent route, eventually signing with Terrible Records. In 2009 Knowles began the recording of a studio album, during which she suffered a "breakdown" due to the amount of time and emotion she was putting into the recording process

A neo soul album, True contains an eclectic sound that takes influence from PBR&B, new wave music, dance, 1980s pop, and electronica, whilst the extended play's production is characterized as containing '80s references, keyboards and African percussion. The recording process took three years and was handled by Knowles and producer Dev Hynes. Together the pair produced, wrote and composed all of the songs, a decision Knowles made due to their chemistry, friendship and work relationship.
