Eh everyone :) I've been receiving a lot of mail lately from people thinking they are using bad fertilizers and could I recommend something better. When I asked what kind of nutrients they were using (They were very good nutrients) I was a little shocked to see the results they were getting. When I started asking more questions I discovered they were shooting themselves in the foot so to speak :) by improperly mixing their nutrients. I spent some nice time on the phone this morning with a lovely lady named Kristal at JR. Peeters to go over this with her to make absolute certain this is correct :) Nutrients are sold with specific instructions and specific order for mixing. The purpose for this is so the nutrients will stay in perfect suspension (dissolved) and not turn to solids again and lay on the bottom of your reservoir or in your buckets or feed lines providing nothing for the plants nutrition. It's very important to realize if your nutrients are not totally dissolved they are not available to the plants. This also applies to liquid nutrients. the order of mixing is important and for reason :) This is not to criticize those of you who like to dump and mix it all together this is just in response to all the mail I received pertaining to nutrient problems. Throwing them all in at once is not the way to achieve a precipitate free solution per the manufacturer and "Will" cause some of the components to be precipitated out of solution. Remember hydroponic nutrients need all the trace elements to be available for the plants not like soil nutrients which rely on the soil itself for the trace elements.
