Christopher William Ward (born 28 July 1949 Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian songwriter and broadcaster, known as a former long-standing on-air personality at MuchMusic, Canada's music video network, where he and J.D. Roberts were among the first video jockeys in 1984. Ward has become a judge on The Next Star which is a Canadian reality television show on YTV.

Ward began his music career in the late 1970s while attending Trent University in Peterborough Ontario where he was an active member of the school's campus radio station.

Some of Ward's early television appearances began in 1978 on the CBC children's series Catch Up, as leader of the show's band. He also played a minor role as a musician in an episode of The Kids of Degrassi Street alongside Alannah Myles in 1984.

Before MuchMusic launched, Ward hosted a weekend, all-night video program called City Limits on CITY-TV in Toronto. On Friday and Saturdays, from midnight to 6 a.m., Ward broke ground as Canada's first "veejay". The show was broadcast from CITY-TV's old Queen Street East studios and apart from playing the latest music videos, hosted guests. Bands such as Bon Jovi and actors like Mike Myers- playing his Wayne's World character long before Saturday Night Live made it famous- added to the prototype of what MuchMusic would become. The show also had "video clip" contest segments which gave winners prizes to special events like movie debuts. Broadcast only in the Toronto region, it was a major way music videos were introduced to the Southern Ontario public. (MTV, the American television network was not broadcast in Canada due to regulatory laws protecting Canadian Content until 2006.) When the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) granted a broadcast licence for an all music channel to begin in 1984, CHUM-CITY won the lucrative rights. The application process to the Commission included Ward's current show as evidence of experience in broadcasting music video entertainment.

Neil Percival Young,OC,OM (born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian singer-songwriter who is widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of his generation.

Young began performing as a solo artist in Canada in 1960, before moving to California in 1966, where he co-founded the band Buffalo Springfield along with Stephen Stills and Richie Furay, and later joined Crosby, Stills & Nash as a fourth member in 1969. He forged a successful and acclaimed solo career, releasing his first album in 1968; his career has since spanned over 40 years and 34 studio albums, with a continual and uncompromising exploration of musical styles. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website describes Young as "one of rock and roll’s greatest songwriters and performers". He has been inducted into the Hall of Fame twice: first as a solo artist in 1995, and second as a member of Buffalo Springfield in 1997.

Young's work is characterized by his distinctive guitar work, deeply personal lyrics and signature alto or high tenor singing voice. While Young has experimented with differing music styles, including swing and electronic music throughout a varied career, his best known work usually falls into two primary styles: acoustic (folk and country rock) and electric (amplified hard rock, very often in collaboration with the band Crazy Horse). Young has also adopted elements from newer styles such as alternative rock and grunge. His influence on the latter caused some to dub him the "Godfather of Grunge".

Sierra Dawn Sky Noble (born February 20, 1990) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, and fiddle player.

Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Noble is the third and youngest daughter of Sherry Noble (born in Kingston, Ontario) and David Noble (born in Muscatine, Iowa). She moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1990.

Sierra attended École Laura Secord School from pre-school to the grade 4 when she transferred to Wolseley School for grades 5 and 6. She attended and graduated from Gordon Bell High School with the exception of grades 10 and 11 when she attended The University of Winnipeg Collegiate on a full scholarship from the University of Winnipeg president, Lloyd Axworthy.

Sierra Noble began by busking at The Forks in Winnipeg. At the age of 12, Sierra became the youth ambassador for the Manitoba Campaign to Ban Landmines. In this capacity she began making presentations about the global landmine issue in various schools, universities, and colleges. In 2004 she was selected to be one of two representatives of Canada at the Ban Landmines International Children's Conference.

Harem Scarem were a Canadian melodic rock band from Toronto, ON. Harem Scarem achieved popularity in Japan and their native Canada in the early 1990s. Harem Scarem were active from 1987 to 2008. Throughout their career, they released 12 studio albums, plus numerous live and compilation albums.

Harem Scarem was formed in 1987 by guitarist Pete Lesperance and singer Harry Hess, formerly of Blind Vengeance who had recorded one heavy metal album in the late 80's. The lineup was rounded out by Darren Smith (drums) and Mike Gionet (bass). They recorded a demo CD in 1990, which garnered them attention since most demos at the time were released on cassette tape only. On the strength of this demo, they were signed to Warner Music and recorded their first album. This demo CD, which was sold to fans, is long out of print.

In 1991, Harem Scarem released their self titled debut album, which charted at #68 on the Canadian album chart. The band scored a hit single from the album; "Slowly Slipping Away", which charted at #25 on the Canadian single chart. They also managed to chart two minor hits; "Honestly" and "Love Reaction" The following year, Harem Scarem was able to gain some notoriety when 8 songs from their debut album Harem Scarem were predominantly featured in the Canadian teen series Degrassi Junior High, and Degrassi High's farewell TV movie, School's Out.
