Dalian Shide (simplified Chinese: 大连实德; traditional Chinese: 大連實德; pinyin: Dàlián Shídé) is a professional Chinese football club that currently participates in the Chinese Super League. The club is currently owned by tycoon Xu Ming (zh:徐明 (企业家)) and the Shide Group while the men's team play at the 30,776 seater Jinzhou Stadium in Dalian, Liaoning, China. The club was originally founded in 1983 as Dalian Football Club and would predominantly play in the top tier where they won one domestic cup title in 1992. In 1993, the club was reorganized to become a completely professional football team and would go on to win the first fully professional 1994 Chinese Jia-A League title Achieving a total of eight league titles from both the Jia A and the rebranded CSL have made Dalian the most successful club in Chinese football, while in the Asian Football Confederation the club have reached the 1997–98 Asian Club Championship and 2000–01 Asian Cup Winners' Cup finals.

The predecessor of Dalian Shide was the Dalian Football Club, which was organised in 1982 to replace the struggling Dalian Dockyards team's place in the Chinese second tier at the beginning of the 1983 league season. Under the local Dalian government's ownership, the club would immediately become a major force within the second tier and eventually win promotion to the top level in 1984 when they won the division title. For the next several seasons Dalian would predominantly be top tier regulars except for one season in 1989 when they were in the second tier, however they quickly won premotion and would soon go on to win their first domestic cup in 1992. Soon afterwards the Chinese Football Association started to demand full professionalism and sponsorship from all the clubs in China. Dalian would go on to one of the first fully professionalized club in China and gain sponsorship in 1993 from the China Hualu group and then the Dalian Wanda Group in 1994 who would change the clubs name to Dalian Wanda FC.

Wang Jianlin (b. 1954) is a Chinese businessman. He is the Chairman of the Dalian Wanda Group.

From 1970 to 1986, he served in the People's Liberation Army. In 1986, he worked as Office Administrator for the Xigang District in the city of Dalian. In 1989, he became the General Manager of Xigang Residential Development Company. He was Head of Factory in a Jiangyin-based factory. In 1992, he started working as the General Manager for the Dalian Wanda Group. He has served as its CEO since 1993. He has also been serving as Executive Deputy General Manager and Director in Jiangsu Jiangnan Water Co., a company in Jiangsu.

In 1996, he joined the Communist Party of China. He served as deputy to the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. He now serves as the Vice-Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and has been a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference since 2008. He is also a member of the China Entrepreneur Association, the China Enterprise Directors Association, the China General Chamber of Commerce, and China Real Estate.
