Thunder Duo Congratulates Elementary

On Friday, Thunder players Russell Westbrook and Reggie Williams visited Sooner Rose Elementary to commend students on their participation in National School Breakfast Week that took place March 3-7. Defense, Rebounding Lifts Thunder

OKC held the Lakers to 39-percent shooting and owned a 60-37 rebounding advantage en route to a 131-102 win. Serge Ibaka finished with 15 points, 13 rebounds and seven blocks. Collison Sends Positive Message

Nick Collison snuck in the back door of the library at Cross Timbers Elementary in Edmond to uproarious applause. The Thunder forward then proceeded to read a book called A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon to over 150 children as part of the Thunder’s Reading Timeout program, presented by American Fidelity. In a 106-98 win over the Houston Rockets, the Oklahoma City Thunder used a 17-4 burst in the second quarter and parried a number of late pushes in front of a raucous home crowd to emerge victorious. Strong 2nd Quarter Lifts OKC

The Thunder used a 30-17 second quarter to open up a lead it never surrendered in a 106-98 win over the Houston Rockets. Kevin Durant led all scorers with 42 points while Russell Westbrook notched 24 points, seven assists and four steals. Serge Ibaka added 12 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks. On Tuesday, a crowd of 11,423 set an NBA Development League attendance record for a regular-season game at Chesapeake Arena while watching a tight game between the Tulsa 66ers and the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Thunder Trio Leads Fit Clinic

Headed Back to Wichita, Tulsa

The Thunder will return to Wichita, Kan. and Tulsa, Okla. during the 2014 preseason, the team announced Wednesday. The Thunder will host the Toronto Raptors in Wichita at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17 followed by the Minnesota Timberwolves in Tulsa at 6 p.m. on Oct. 19.
