Pastor Mike Online 03-04-14, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday And The Mark Of The Beast
Visit http://PastorMikeOnline.com - In today's show, Pastor Mike Hoggard discusses the relationship between Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday and the Mark of the Beast -- a study of the true meaning behind the ash mark on the forehead in Roman Catholicism. Today is Fat Tuesday! That means party like there's no tomorrow because Wednesday, you diet or at least give something up for the 40 days of Lent. Pastor Mike explains the mostly Roman Catholic Sacrament that spiritually prepares the faithful for the Resurrection of Christ at "Easter." In Old Testament days, God took Ezekiel and showed him the abominations that were taking place in the temple that bore His name. Women made cakes for the Queen of Heaven and wept for her dead and dismembered son, Tammuz for 40 days. The Jews had inculcated false gods and practices into true Godly worship, just as it is today. Pastor Mike explains how mystery religions have their roots in the Garden of Eden itself, the corruptible seed which has been kept alive through the centuries by Lucifer's followers. Roman Catholic Church goers and others delight to exhibit the ashen "X" adorning their forehead on Ash Wednesday, marking the time until Easter (Resurrection of Christ). The false prophet will offer the mark of the beast for the spiritually minded (a form of godliness, but lacking the power to save them), and they will gladly accept it while scoffing at King James Bible believers who are begging them not to! Did you know that the actual number of the days of Lent is 46, not 40. Think about this for a moment. Believers are the body of Christ, our temples have 46 chromosomes and the "X" represents the chromosomes. Satan wants to destroy those who have been born again into God's image, to change them to reflect his image of the beast that dwells inside us and needs to be raised from the ashes. Jet setting Kenneth Copeland, multi-millionaire prosperity teacher. is embracing the new inclusive Pope, taking a giant footstep closer to a one world religion. Taking the mark of the beast will seem like a no-brainer, even a GOOD thing, and some will even say, "Everybody's doing it." Remember when you told your Mom that and she still said no? The Bible is unambiguous when it says don't do it, so the enemy muddies the waters either by changing the Bible, or superseding it by shifting your trust to a man, extraneous writings, or being swayed by feelings or emotions. The "no good thing" that the Apostle Paul spoke of is having a hay-day and Sodom is rising across this great land. God is calling all believers to enlist in combat. Read and study your Bible. Be ready to snatch people from the fire and keep up the good job as watchers! Ash Wednesday Mass
The University Catholic Community hosted Ash Wednesday mass on Wednesday in the Palo Pinto room in the University Center. The annual celebration among the Christian community signifies the beginning of lent, a 40-day period of preparation before Easter. About 135 people attended the event, which packed the room and left many standing during the hour-long service. Photo and edit by Tyler Hervey Copyright 2014 The Shorthorn- published: 06 Mar 2014
