That's M&R.; And now...the rest of the story: The first Gauntlet was designed in early 1987 and debuted at the SGIA Show in Houston later that year. It was the first automatic screen printing press to combine performance, affordability, and a compact footprint, paving the way for M&R;'s Sportsman and Diamondback automatic screen printing presses—and every other press of that type seen today. Gauntlet was an immediate phenomenon, and its arrival on the scene was universally recognized as a watershed moment in the world of screen printing. The Gauntlet with serial number 00001 was purchased by a Houston screen printer during the show for $21,995. There it was given some TLC and sent out to wow the crowds once more.
