Graduado con Diploma de Honor en Física en la Universidad de Madrás y Doctorado en Física en la Universidad de Bombay, el Prof. G. Venkataraman ha trabajado en las más prestigiosas Instituciones Científicas de la India, recibiendo numerosos honores como la Medalla Sir C.V. Raman de la Comisión de Becas de Universidades, Medalla ‘Raman Centenary’ de la Academia de Ciencia de la India, Premio Indira Gandhi de la Academia Nacional de Ciencias de la India, Medalla Sir C.V Raman del Congreso de Ciencias de la India, Membrecía ‘Jawaharlal Nehru’ de la Fundación Nehru y ‘Padma Shri’ conferido por el Presidente de la India.
En el momento de su retiro en Octubre de 1992, habiendo pasado tres décadas en el Departamento de Energía Atómica y luego muchos años en la Organización de Investigación de Defensa y Desarrollo, su jefe era el Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Presidente de la India en ese entonces. El Dr. Kalam le pidió que continuara por algún tiempo más, pero el Prof. Venkataraman declinó diciendo que quería ir al Ashram de Sri Sathya Sai Baba y servir en la Universidad de Baba en calidad honoraria. El Dr. Kalam le dijo, “Tú eres muy afortunado, estás yendo a un lugar Sagrado”.
Luego de servir como Vice-Rector de la Universidad de Baba en Prashanti Nilayam (Instituto de Estudios Superiores Sri Sathya Sai), asumió el cargo de Director de la Radio Sai Global Harmony con Sede en Prashanti Nilayam, Ashram de Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, cargo que conserva hasta la actualidad.

With an Honours Degree in Physics from the University of Madras, and a Ph.D in Physics from the University of Bombay, Prof. G. Venkataraman worked in the most prestigious Scientific Institutions of India, receiving numerous honours like, Sir C.V.Raman Medal of the University Grants Commission, Raman Centenary Medal of the Indian Academy of Science, Indira Gandhi Award of the Indian National Science Academy, and the Sir C.V.Raman Medal of the Indian Science Congress, Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship conferred by the Nehru Foundation, and the Padma Shri conferred by the President of India.
At the time of his retirement from service, in October 1992, having spent three decades in the Atomic Energy Department and several years in the Defence Research and Development Organisation, his boss was Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, President of India at that time. Dr. Kalam requested him to continue for some more time but he declined saying that he wanted to go to the Ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and serve there in Baba’s University in an honorary capacity. Dr. Kalam told him, “You are very fortunate, you are going to a Sacred place”.
After serving as the Vice-Chancellor in Baba’s University (Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning) in Prashanti Nilayam, he became the Director of the Radio Sai Global Harmony in Prashanti Nilayam, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Ashram, post which he holds up to date.

OM or AUM - the vedic spiritual sound vibration (a form of the Supreme Lord), from which matter emanates.
A couple of years ago I made many sound compositions with spiritual topics from the ancient vedic scriptures Srimad-Bhagavatam, Bhagavad-gita, Mahabharat, Upanishad and so on.
Now I am going to create visualizations and animations for these sound compositions with Adobe Flash, After Effects and others.
In this video 12 mantras are shown, which devotees of Vishnu, Krishna or Narayana are saying while they apply Tilaka (a Vishnu sign) with Ganges mud on 12 parts of their body.
You will see 4 emblems of Shri Vishnu - Shankha (conch), Chakra (fire wheel), Gada (mace or disc) and Padma (lotus flower). Conch and lotus flower are auspicious for the devotees of the Supreme Lord, whereas Chakra and Gada are fearful for the demons.

Pandit Jee said in an Interview .......
"Indian music is based on spiritualism; that is the first word, you must keep it in your mind. Many people misunderstand and think it's got something to do with religion – no, absolutely no! Nothing to do with religion, but spiritualism – Indian music was practiced and learned to know the Supreme Truth. Mirabai, Thyagaraja from the South, Haridas Swami, Baiju – all these great composers and musicians were wandering saints; they never came into society, nor performed in society".
When Nikhil Banerjee died in 1986, India didn't just lose one of its greatest sitar players, but one of its most influential classical musicians. A former child prodigy who won the All-Bengal sitar competition at the age of nine, Banerjee grew up to earn international acclaim as a highly skilled musician. According to The San Francisco Chronicle, Banerjee's "technique is a phenomenon, faster than cheetahs, more secure than the dollar." Music And Musicians observed that "his improvisations always sound completely natural and spontaneous.." In an obituary published after his death, The New York Times wrote "the extraordinary fluidity and assurance of his rhythmic ideas and phrasing set a standard that would have left the more international 'stars' of Indian music behind."
The son of an amateur musician, Banerjee was fascinated by his father's playing. Although he wanted to try his hand at an instrument as early as the age of four, he was discouraged by his father and grandfather. At the age of five, however, they relented and he acquired a small sitar. Banerjee took to the instrument immediately. In addition to winning the All-India sitar competition, he became the youngest musician employed by All-India Radio at the age of nine. He remained a featured radio performer for five years. One of 15 children, Banerjee was greatly influenced by Ustad Amir Khan, who would come to his family home to teach his older sister. Banerjee also studied with Mustaq Ali Khan for three months and Jnan Prakash Ghosh, who taught him to play tabla. His greatest teacher, however, was Baba (Allaudin Khan), with whom he apprenticed, along with Ravi Shankar, from 1947 until 1952. Following Khan's death, Banerjee went on to study with Khan's son, Ali Akbar Khan, for an additional five years. Banerjee subsequently performed an estimated 1,000 concerts in India as Khan's accompanist. Banerjee performed his first concerts outside of India in 1955 as a member of a cultural delegation sent by the Indian government to Poland, Russia, and China. He made his United States debut in 1967. For many years, Banerjee spent three months each summer teaching, performing, and lecturing/demonstrating at U. C. Berkeley.
In 1968, Banerjee was awarded the honorary title Padma Shri. The same year, he was named India's "outstanding musician of the year" by the Sangeet Nagat (music and dance) Academy.
