Armenians face few options in Syria
In the ongoing Syrian civil war, the comparatively small community of Armenians has been mostly forgotten. Roughly 80,000 live in the country, and though Armenia has offered passports to any who want to leave, the vast majority have decided to stay in their homes and communities. Relatives across the border in Turkey have encouraged them to leave, but it seems the Armenians in Syria still hope they can wait out the conflict. Ethiopia -- TEZETA [The Ethiopian Armenians] /Long Trailer/
Ethiopia -- TEZETA [The Ethiopian Armenians] /Long Trailer/ {The following script is quoted from the producer and or fundrasing organizer} "TEZETA [The Ethiopian Armenians]is a film about the tremendous impact of a small minority of people on the culture of a nation; the struggle to retain cultural identity and remain a viable community; and the role that music played in serving as a bridge between two cultures. We started collecting footage six months ago in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. During this time, we became acquainted with many Ethiopian Armenian community members whose families have lived in Ethiopia for several generations, as well as others touched by the Armenians' profound legacy. Particularly compelling is the mark Armenians have left on the musical landscape of Ethiopia, which is why we've chosen to focus on this aspect of the story. To date, we've conducted forty-five half-hour to hour-long interviews with Ethiopian Armenians, as well as Ethiopian musicians, historians, and clergymen. Our interviews have been in French, Amharic, Armenian, & English. We've filmed concerts, recitals, & church ceremonies. We've photographed places and people relevant to the story. We've come a long way but we have a lot more to go!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- N.B. I do not own this material, nor do I claim to. It rightly belongs to the producer of the documentary and I gain no profit from this video or my channel in any way whatsoever. Armenians In Aleppo Get Armed To Defend Themselves
According to the leading broadcaster in Armenia "Azatutyun", Syrian Armenians reportedly formed self defense armed groups from Armenian volunteers to defend the Armenian residential area in Aleppo. Azatutyun.am reporter Naira Bulghadarian quotes an Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian as saying that Armenia will receive 400 Syrian-Armenian children in the coming days. 119 Syrian-Armenian children already arrived in Yerevan today. The Armenian officials say it is not an evacuation. They say that the kids will visit Armenia as part of an "Ari Tun" (homecoming) project. Meanwhile the passengers who came to Yerevan yesterday said that every Armenian household in Aleppo has firearm to protect their properties from the thieves and armed gangs.- published: 07 Mar 2014

A Life Spent in Hiding - Turkish Armenians
In 1915 Turkish government planned and executed a systematic extermination of the Armenian race, their plan didn't succeed but it resulted in the creation of the term "Genocide" by Raphael Lemkin. The Genocide of Armenians by Turks still continues until today by their fabricated lies, blockading of Armenia despite all International Regulations and pressuring foreign governments in the denial of the Armenian Genocide. In this video, after almost a century of the Genocide of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire, an increasing number of Turks of Armenian heritage are acknowledging their roots.- published: 07 Mar 2014
