Chashitsu - Japanese Teahouse Introducing the new Japanese Teahouse personal space from Granzella. A secluded mountain side full of vegetation and water. Through the gate and down the stepping stone walkway stands a small teahouse. Hold a tea party and welcome your guests in the teahouse. By daring to build it according to wabisabi thinking, the small teahouse is designed to shrink the distance between the guests. Forget the hustle and bustle of the city for a little while and enjoy a peaceful moment.

茶室Chashitsu - Japanese Teahouse Winter PV by Granzella - PlayStation®Home
Snow-covered Teahouse (This personal space experiences seasonal changes.) Winter is coming to Granzella's Japanese Teahouse Personal Space. (It's the popular Chashitsu - Japanese Teahouse, but now its scenery has changed from fall foliage to a snowy winter.) Snow flurries falls on the small, mountain secluded Teahouse among snow blanketed trees. When looking at the protective ropes on the trees and the frozen pond, a unique winter tranquility can be felt. Also, seasonal Japanese sweets and flower arrangements have arrived. As the season changes, why not ponder your thoughts while taking in a moment of peace? *This personal space's scenery changes with the seasons. ·························································· Copyright(C)2012 Granzella Inc. Kakejiku -hanging scroll-
A kakejiku is a Japanese scroll painting or calligraphy mounted usually with silk fabric edges on a flexible backing, so that it can be rolled for storage. As opposed to makimono, which are meant to be unrolled laterally on a flat surface, a kakejiku is intended to be hung against a wall as part of the interior decoration of a room. It is traditionally displayed in the tokonoma alcove of a room especially designed for the display of prized objects. When displayed in a chashitsu, or teahouse for the traditional tea ceremony, the choice of the kakejiku and its complementary flower arrangement help set the spiritual mood of the ceremony.

That was recorded in an italian chashitsu (tea ceremony room) in Lucca (Tuscany), where people come to learn chado (the way of tea). A Candle-lit Japanese Tea Ceremony
In the Japanese tea ceremony, the actions and movements of the tea master follow a meticulously codified ritual. The responses of the guests also follow a set pattern : a humble bow when accepting the tea bowl (茶碗, chawan), a careful rotation and visual appreciation of the hand-crafted tea bowl, an apology to other guests for receiving the tea before them, a reverential savoring of the tea .. the overall aim is to create a serenely contemplative atmosphere. The candle-lit ceremony shown in the video was conducted by a tea ceremony teacher in the tea room (茶室, chashitsu) of her private home. This event was part of the welcome activities kindly arranged by our former neighbors during our return visit to Japan. (Our Japanese neighbors are always very kind to my wife). en.wikipedia.org en.wikipedia.org

The "Floating World" culture developed in Yoshiwara, the licensed red-light district of Edo (modern Tokyo), which was the site of many brothels, chashitsu tea houses, and kabuki theaters frequented by Japan's growing middle class. The ukiyo culture also arose in other cities such as Osaka and Kyoto. The famous Japanese woodblock prints known as ukiyo-e, or "pictures of the Floating World", had their origins in these districts and often depicted scenes of the Floating World itself such as geisha, kabuki actors, sumo wrestlers, samurai, chōnin and prostitutes. The term is also an ironic allusion to the homophone "Sorrowful World" (憂き世), the earthly plane of death and rebirth from which Buddhists sought release. // // from the album " Wiseblood " copyright 1990 Virgin Records // // i hold no ownership nor claim to any portion if the song nor ...

The Redwoods DMCI Homes - Fairview, Quezon City
THE REDWOODS - Inspired by the concept of Japanese "chashitsu" (tea house); where leisure, amusement, and social life revolve around meeting in a pavillon at the middle of a park or garden. The idea is to replicate the atmosphere of suburban charm where relaxation is centered on a simple conversation over a cup of tea and afterward strolling along the surrounding lawns, ponds, and landscaped gardens. The development hopes to create this setting to bring nature back into city living and diffuse the suffocating effect of urban stress www.dmci-homes.com.ph

Roji Sushi
