The Gulf Intelligence Energy Markets Forum. Sept 2013
Keynote Speech: "Iraq as a Game Changer " - HE Hussain Ibrahim Al-Shahristani, Deputy Prime Minister for Energy, Iraq Iraq, with the world's 3rd largest conventional oil resources, plans to become a major energy powerhouse in the coming decade and can scale up oil production significantly without bankrupting itself, HE Al-Sharistani will tell the Forum audience. Iraq, at present, is carrying out an extensive development programme with the assistance of major international oil companies to boost its oil production to 9-10 million bpd by 2020. This achievement would make Iraq the largest contributor to the growth in global oil supply over the period, accounting for about half of new supply. HE will outline how Iraq can be counted upon to be a dependable long-term oil supplier, and in so doing dampen oil price volatility to facilitate continued growth of the world economy, particularly in the developing countries.- published: 18 Nov 2013

Afghanistan Christmas Attack
Afghanistan Christmas Attack
Two car bombs targeting Christians killed at least 38 people in southern Baghdad on Christmas. In Afghanistan, two rounds of "indirect fire" hit the U.S. Embassy compound in Kabul, but no one was hurt. The incidents highlight the security challenges with which both Iraq and Afghanistan are grappling. Both countries have had a heavy U.S. military presence until recently. The departure of U.S. forces from Iraq has done little to curb the near-daily cycle of violence. In Afghanistan, U.S. and Afghan officials are working on an important security pact to outline the future of American troops in Afghanistan. 18 dead in Christmas Day attacks near Iraq churches Data Reprinted- published: 31 Dec 2013

Taxi to the Dark Side - Trailer
Winner of the 2008 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature as well as a 2008 Peabody Award, TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE takes a disturbing in-depth look at the highly questionable interrogation practices used by United States military guards on prisoners in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay in the years following 9/11.
Beginning with the story of an innocent young Afghan taxi driver named Dilawar, who was killed while being held in Bagram prison in 2002, TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE tells the grim, cautionary saga of how the U.S. government, desperate to draw out information from a top Al Qaeda leader detained in Guantanamo Bay, approved the use of cruel and unusual interrogation techniques that bordered on torture- which were systematically imported to other US prisons abroad.
In examining the interrogation practices used in Bagram, Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, the film includes shocking photos, archival footage, expert commentary, and interviews with several soldiers stationed at prisons in Afghanistan and Iraq. These guards admit to using unorthodox techniques- including isolation, ceiling handcuffing, sleep deprivation, strip humiliation, "water boarding," threats by menacing dogs, sexual abuse and more- that they say were condoned and even approved by their superiors, despite being in clear violation of the humanitarian rules outlined in the Geneva Conventions.

Pr. Chris Busby, ECRR, versus Dr. Jack Valentin , ICRP, 1(2)
The scientific discussion that may stop the apocalyptic process of polluting the earth with radioactive particles that get into human blood through air flows and destroy human DNA irrepearably. Filmed by Ditta Rietuma.
Stockholm, 22nd April 2009. The recently resigned Scientific Secretary of the ICRP, Dr Jack Valentin (www.icrp.org), conceeds to Pr. Chris Busby, ECRR (www.euradcom.org) , that the ICRP model can not be used to predict the health effects of exposures and that for certain internal exposures it is insecure by up to two orders of magnitude. He also said that as he was no longer employed by ICRP he could agree that the ICRP and the United Nations committee on radiation protection (UNSCEAR) had been wrong in not examining the evidence from the Chernobyl accident, and other evidence outlined below, which shows large errors in the ICRP risk model.

"Contaminated Forever" - introductory scenes: a documentary on DU weapons contamination
"CONTAMINATED FOREVER" - the documentary -- introductory scenes
... exposing the ongoing impact of the use of so-called "depleted uranium" munitions
Filmmaker Wes Rehberg and artist and social policy analyst Eileen Rehberg have produced and filmed "Contaminated Forever," an 88-minute documentary to help in the effort to expose the terrible consequences of the use of so-called depleted uranium weapons (DU) for test purposes and in the battlefield.
These weapons were used in Iraq, the Balkans, on testing grounds throughout the United States and territories, and possibly in Afghanistan, Panama and Lebanon, with their poison dust afflicting soldiers and civilians. Their nanoparticle fallout, in the earth, has a half-life of 4.5 billion years, ready to be inhaled or ingested, where, inside the body, they pass through cell walls to begin their radioactive and toxic damage.
